    Because I use it every day, I decided I would do a short review on this machine. If you love coffee, and are looking for a great and affordable coffee machine - this might be the machine for your!
    This machine cost me under £400 (2000 AED)

    You need to remove the external part of the milk frother and wash it under a tap to clean it properly as it gets milk on the inside, as well as wipe the internal part. Personally I don't use it as not necessary. I agree that your grind is too course - try settings 2 or 3 out of the 13 settings. Optimal dosage is 80% on the dial. I would also weigh your yield and set it at 25 to 30 mls for the best coffee

    Good review. Have the previous model which has been faultless for many years. I think the previous model is far more ergonomic with the brew head being removed from the front which should be cleaned after each session. Coffee hop and grind dial on the left top side also easier to access to fill and adjust on the fly. These machines have the same internals as the £2000 models and so produce exactly the same quality shots. Very adjustable and grinder can be hacked to produce more grind range which is useful. As with others, I've personally found that sainsbury espresso beans produces the best coffee with this machine. Expensive fresh roasted specialist beans straight from the roasters I personally have never had any success with. Don't forget to flush it between each shot and with experience you can set to to produce excellent results. Even the coffee snobs would have to agree.

    I have using this machine for about 8 years now and never had any problem. Every evening I clean the tray and rinse the brewgroup. Fresh water in the morning and I can have an excellent 30ml espresso.
    My advice to users: Always use fresh espresso beans from a local seller and set grinder to 1 or 11/2.
    Don't expect to much from this entry machine, it can make you only a decent espresso or americano if using a double shot in a hurry.
    If you have more time and want better coffee and latte drinks, you have to step up to a Breville machine or other.

    • @christee2908
      @christee2908 Před 3 měsíci

      @@alyaanadzirahbintishbini3687 Don't get me wrong, de Magnifica S is the best buy for the money, you get a decent coffee from it. Use fresh beans and lime-free water and the machine will pay you back with years of pleasure. The Breville is a big step up and actually falls into a different category. A Philips? Place that one in offices where people dont care about drinks 🤢

      Just learn how to make a decent coffee and then practice. Even this machine can produce on occasion a brilliant shot when it all co.mes together. It's not about the price of the machine, it's how you use it.

      buy a separate hot water dispenser. They are not expensive and quicker than an electric kettle.
      Water from the steampipe isn’t hot enough to make proper tea in my opinion. Also it takes time to heat up. a hot water dispenser is just pressing a button and making tea.

    HI Alex; Very nice video explaining how machine works. We have identical machine and the one thing I cant seem to find anyone explain is how one can make the concentratoin of coffee/water stronger. Our factory setting makes a watery coffee in the single expresso mode and I cant seem to figure out how to lessen the amount of water through the spout once you press the button. Do you possibly have any idea abpout that? The grinder on top is on 1 and the front dial is on max.

    This is a dreadful machine. After less than 1 year my wife and I were woken at 4am to a terrible noise in our house. Our Delonghi Magnifica Smart machine was making a horrible loud noise and there was also a dreadful smell of burnt plastic. The machine had been in standby mode and somehow ground all the coffee beans and continued trying to grind beans that were not there. All the ground coffee was dumped to the bottom of the machine. Delonghi Spain are doing nothing to repair the machine that costs almost 400 euros. Terrible customer support and the repair company also ignores all contact. DO NOT BUY DELONGHI. THEY'RE UNRELIABLE AND THEY DON'T CARE WHEN IT'S FAULTY. They don't respect the warranty.
