The music video is part of the BU (Bangtan Universe) which is a complex, multi-video, multi-song, multi-media storyline. That's why it seemed like there was more to the video and why it was so long. It's kind of amazing how much thought goes into all they do. It's something you can get into later if you wish, but it's not necessary to enjoy BTS. I'm not sure which JK song is my favorite - My Time probably showcases his voice best. Honestly, I really enjoy when he sings on his Vlives or just off-the-cuff, random moments. I think his voice really shines during those times.

You literally just thrown yourself in the middle of the BU (Bangtan Universe) BTS has multiple songs, mv, albums that cover a fictional storyline of what the members go through while growing up (reminder it is fictional not there reality). That is why it is such indepth MV as it has earlier MV intergrated into it uncovers the story of the members. The BU is like a big puzzle that ARMY needs to solve to get the whole story that is being told.
JK is in top 5 most appreciated singers in kpop. JK was appreciated recently by YG entertainment vocal coach for his vocal stability while dancing.

He has a range of 3 octaves, but he doesn’t choose to always do crazy highnotes, he mostly prefers harmonies,crazy runs,soothing, and most importantly stable vocals. Because he is so good at harmonies,vocal techniques,stability,he’s the main vocalist
He is such a insane vocalist. He has some vlives where you can just hear his raw vocals if you are interested in that. He is just so much talent in one human its hard to put into words. 😅

@@JohnReavesLive it may be a bit overwhelming to watch the whole BU explanation video (they are theories only) if you have not seen all the BU videos. Maybe start with I Need You then Run, etc. FICTIONAL storyline that runs over many albums. There are lists online of all the BU videos if interested.
I remember being so enthralled and amazed but so confused by this MV cuz I didn't know about the BU and I was a baby army. But I was AMAZED. These guys are something else

Euphoria touches my soul every time I hear it. Golden Maknae can't do anything poorly; he's just made of pure gold.
He is so young and has so much talent. He will bring us a lot of awesome music in the future💜
JK is such an amazing vocalist and such a sweetheart. He’s on the introverted part of the band so you rarely see him sharing his inner struggles and experiences but see a lot in his actions.
He’s the main vocalist and probably has the perfect pitch which he showcased in one of the Run episodes by recreating a bells’ melody from the first and only try and which you could find glimpses here and there in BTS videos, but of course no official research exists.
If you’re interested to see his raw vocals I suggest to watch a compilation of him singing on vlives.

jungkook is one of the most talented human beings i have ever seen, and his gentle heart just makes me melt. i love him so much.
Our Golden Maknae (막내) JKKKKKK. To me, he is the little rebel that all members adore and take care of. His vocals and dance abilities are amazing, there is nothing he is not good at (except for concentrating and lack of patience according to him). He is the lead singer and does most of the harmonies and adlibs, without him the members will be in trouble (RM has said this many times). He grew up in the public eye, but still, he is very polite and humble. He has definitely grown into a fine young man. He adores ARMY and loves his Hyungs and he will do anything for them. He is an amazing human being and an artist that I respect. I am so proud of my little Rebel Kookie.

I highly recommend Still With You, and Stay Alive. Neither have a proper live version as far as I'm aware, as one was released on SoundCloud and the other was made for a Webtoon, but he absolutely kills it in both.

It’s an iconic JK moment. I think he’s pretty fearless. I’m always fascinated by how until recently he usually hangs back in group interviews and seems shy but put a microphone on him and a spotlight and he’s every bit a star.
As others probably said this MV is referencing the Bangtan Universe series which gives each member a fictional back story. It starts with “I need you”. You noted the amount of depth in this MV and that is indicative of the BU. What a genius idea someone had, I’m presuming it was Big Hit.

Jk is a beast, he vocals are insane. He joined big hit at such a young age and he had to grow up fast luckily he had his 6 brothers to help him. But he managed to find his own color as he puts it and the rest is history. My favorite song of his is either euphoria or My time. Looking forward to the introduction to jk. I just wanted to say that Jungkook is just surreal and his vocals are so beautiful. 💜
He has such a beautiful voice, and as the main vocalist, his voice is what holds BTS together and gives them their distinct sound. He does so many of the harmonies and ad libs, vocally supporting the other members. Other have suggested it as well, but Jungkook the Main Vocalist of BTS by Ida S really highlights what his role within the group is. Whenever he sings on his lives, it's just his raw voice, and so beautiful. Jungkook's talents run so deep, vocals, dance, rap, art, athletics... But it is also his heart, his kindness and humility that shine.

I love Begin by JK, the lyrics are about the other members and his voice is so stable when he does it live its always crazy to me how he can sing and dance like that at the same time.
My fav JK song is Begin. He did it for his Hyungs. Love it
- My personal favorite JK solo is either Begin because of the message (It's a love/thank you song to his 6 "big brothers") or Still With You which is a jazzy love letter to ARMY.
- JK is a bit of an adrenalin junkie so he's probably having the time of his life up there.
- I can't wait to see the intro video about him because on one hand the guy is good at so many things that it's insane but on the other hand he has of course had his problems too.
BU (Bangtan Universe) is a big dive into a fictional story revolving around a group of friends going thru the hardships of becoming an adult while experiencing a true friendship and the happiness that comes with it, but It's deeper than just that. The story goes along with their albums and it is intense and like other people tell you it is not easy to explain.
I love how he enjoys making us fear for his life XD He's very fearless and super multi-talented. But the thing i love about him aside his immense talent, was his ability to adapt to what he learns, since he's exposed young to a lot of talented people, especially bts members. I remember once he said that the members raised him to who he was today because of them and i admire how he looks up to all of them, hence his solo song 'Begin'. As he always says, he's talented in a lot of things, but there are a lot of things he doesn't know too. He's only human and that what makes us love the youngest even more~
“Euphoria” is a feel-good song, depicting the happiness associated with young love and new beginnings (English lyrics attached below). JK is our AdLib King. And yes, I too feel like he wroter this for ARMY and his bandmates.
The track was teased and released as a theme of 起 ‘Wonder,’ a part of the LOVE YOURSELF series under Bangtan Universe-a story incorporated through out many of BTS' music videos. “Euphoria” is crucial to Jung Kook’s storyline. (PLEASE NOTE - MVs done in the BU do not always relate to the lyrics, but do relate to the storyline..) "I Need You" was the first of the BU MVs.
The title, “Euphoria,” derives from Ancient Greek and means a feeling of extreme happiness.

@@JohnReavesLive BTS have games too. But not part of BU story. For BTS game, it has their own story (and in BTS games have a movie clip too). For BTS game, there is 2 different stories in one app games that we can play. First story, we play as BTS themself, where if they are not meets to each others and have their own life. The other story, we become their manager and try to united them as new group. If u want to play as BTS manager, just have extra patient with Suga. He is annoying and sassy af 🤣🤣 a type rebellion n idgaf one. But if u can melt his heart n get his approval as his manager, he become little meow meow lol

JK is the one that led me to BTS. I heard his voice on a collaboration with Lauv & had to know who he was…thus found BTS. I have grown to love all the BTS members & love that all 4 vocalists are different & bring different strengths to the group. I love Jin’s powerful voice who is able to convey emotions so well. I love Jimin’s angelic high but powerful tone. I love Tae’s range & his soulful sultry tone. But Jungkook is my ultimate never been wrecked bias. He is the one that led me to BTS. He is a musical prodigy but he also works his butt off. We have heard over & over how he is always the last to leave staying behind to practice more after everyone else leaves. He is a perfectionist that is often way too hard on himself. Legit wish I could tell him how amazing he is. My mom was a music teacher so I grew up around music. I took vocal & piano lessons for years & years (from someone else). What really sets JK apart is his ears. I believe & there is evidence to suggest he has absolute pitch. That is why he is able to so effortlessly harmonize with anyone & everyone including the rappers. I mean how many times have you heard someone harmonize with someone rapping. He sounds just as incredible a cappella as he does with music. Sounds better live to me than he does on the studio versions. I also have no clue how he sings so clear & beautiful live even while doing difficult choreography. I think we’ll see his voice continue to develop. He has so much more potential & he is always looking to improve himself. But seriously he is a true vocalist. I mean he’ll just take requests to sing live on Vlive….their songs, other top songs at the time by Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, whoever. Also his voice is all throughout all of their songs with background vocals, ad libs & harmonizing. It will shock you how much he does when you really start listening. You definitely should watch Jungkook the Main Vocalist of BTS by Ida S. All her videos on JK are great as well.
I'm in love with Still With You actually. He wrote, produced (I don't know how much he composed but he took some help of course) that song for ARMY and uploaded on SoundCloud for free. Also, JK has so many cover songs too. He really enjoys to sing songs that he loves. My fav covers from him: Sofa, Work, If You (he joined MaskSinger and sang this song but it's hard to upload on youtube for copyrights), Lost Stars, Ending Scene, and lastly and mostly Falling. I hope you can check some of these beauties too.

I know I’m quite late watching this reaction, I just found you fairly recently. I just wanted to say that I remember watching this video for the first time back when I was first starting to get into BTS. It was before I realized they had an entire storyline behind their MVs, but I had seen a couple of the MVs that were connected to the BU, and seeing this ended up being an epiphany moment when I was recognizing scenes that had come from other videos I had watched. I have to say that watching the entire story unfold from beginning to most recently addition was an absolutely emotional journey. 💜💜💜

This is part of the storyline.. Back then started with The beautiful moment in life era, they created storyline throughout their MVs. You should check it in order. The first one is their "I Need U" MV
In context of the video, I believe he is singing to the members. The video is just one part of a much longer story (Wings album+) with an overall theme of the members, as fictional characters, not being together, and then being together. But it is also a love song to Army when performed live. By now you know (a year after you posted this) that JK is one of the greatest singers in the world, and that will continue when he returns from the military.

The MV is woven into a big storyline the runs through many MVs called the Bangtan Universe or BU. It also involves books, video games and a ton of other things all making up part of the story. If you choose to explore it, it's probably something to do after you have done much more of their discography. One thing to note, often times the lyrics of the song and the storyline of the MV aren't connected in any way. I believe Euphoria is a love letter to the fans. He has another solo song called "Begin" which is a tribute to his band members. Thanks for reacting.

You are getting into Bangtan Universe (BU). This is a multi-mV, webtoons, and other supplementals that weave a complicated but intriguing alternate universe involving these boys. The HYYH and the Wings era were Bu heavy… You should explore their other videos and performances first, I would think but it would be fun. JK loves adventure and he is quite athletic as I’m sure you’ll learn about in your next video. JK is my bias and Suga is my bias wrecker… but ultimately I love all of them. Euphoria is one of songs JK chose for the new anthology. His ad libs are crazy good. 😊

Now that this is a year old...Welcome to the BU! Bangtan Universe has many theories, but no clear "right" one...at least that we know of.
Note: at this point, we'll probably never get a clear answer as to what's actually happening/happened.
Since Jin is the focal point, and is always at a window, looking in a mirror, has a camera, etc. My favorite theory is that he's actually a time traveler. The windows, mirrors, and cameras represent him "seeing" his friends, in all sorts of ways.
In a nutshell, some believe that in each "lifetime", something happens to them all (mental health issues, various types of accidents, etc.) and throughout those various lifetimes, he's trying to figure out how to prevent their deaths in each life.
Again, just my favorite...and it's what makes the most sense to ME. Could be right, could be wrong. Who knows? LOL Always fun to guess, though.

Quick background on BTS Universe (BU): it’s a fictional story that began in 2015 with their album “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Part 1”. The first music video that introduced this alternative world is “I Need U (2015)”. Since then, BTS has continued to build on the story across many MVs, books, comics, short films, and video game (“BTS Universe”, 2021 mobile game). Each member has an alter ego in this universe and each new piece of media builds on the plot of each character. Generally, if a MV is associated with BU, it would have a BU disclaimer in the credits. BU synopsis: all BTS members are high school friends, but each member is struggling with their own inner demons, and the group drifted apart. Jin’s character made it his mission to save each member and the group. I’m selling the plot a bit short here but it is angsty and dark AF 🤣

Oh, my, I can see you could be in big trouble now. I love this MV because it takes so many references from other MVs which are incorporated - as other commenters have said - in the Bangtan Universe. It's a fictional storyline made up of multiple timelines and is very complicated indeed. I do not dive in there at all, but I find it admirable in many ways, not least the quality, but also it's inclusion of many dark topics which are still taboo in Korea, and its exploration of the very real difficulties and abuses that some young people in Korea (and, honestly, everywhere) face. If you decide to get into it and find yourself somewhat overwhelmed (many do), Xceleste has a video in which she offers one over-arching and, she would agree, incomplete explanation. She is so clever!

Euphoria is complex as there is a Euphoria that is what you feel it to be and then there is a deeper BU storyline connection buried in the lyrics. As you rightly perceived, there is an extended storyline BTS presents. In that context, despite this song being light and airy, the song actually is dark as the tenor of early visual shots in the music video hint at. You see JK standing at the edge of the roof of a high-rise his arms spread out as if ready to fly appearing in an essentially euphoric state. He is at peace as he knows he is going to a happier place.
Let's look at the lyrics. Jungkook says in the lyrics he does not know what his emotions are, but they are an oasis in the desert. Then he uses the words "a priori deep inside me". A priori means he has not come to what is inside him by observing or experience, but rather by deducing. Then Jungkook sings, "I am so happy. I can't breathe. Everything's getting blurry." ..."I'm following this clarity. Take my hands now. You are the cause of my euphoria."...."Don't let go of my hand. Please don't wake me up from this dream." He repeats the pre-chorus, " I hear the ocean from far away, across the dream, past the woods".
I personally think JK not only is speaking in storyline terms but in real-life terms. Particularly he is speaking to SK youth who see suicide as a release from their pain at a rate amongst the world's highest. While a depiction of pre-suicidal thoughts may seem a tad inappropriate, Euphoria in my mind MUST be envisioned within context of being part of a series of albums advocating that each person can weather the emotional storms they are going through by learning how to love themselves. Recognizing a defective logic is a first step to doing something to fix it. This song in my opinion does not shy away from a problem that we do not want to talk about but is BTS confronting it ultimately hoping to help those struggling with it.

Welcome in the BU ! Euphoria MV is a part of this fictional heartbreaking storyline, that run throught a lot songs, MV, book notes, and mobile game. Those MV are marked "BU content" on the hybe/Big Hit Channel. Some are note marked, but it's easy to see the corrélation, once you begin to dive in the Bangtan Universe and theories. It's begin with I need you, Run, Prologue, Euphoria, and irrigate the whole Wings album, with Demian , a book by Herman Hesse. Anyiway, JK is amazing ! He became a trainee under Big Hit at 13 years old, leaving his hometown of Busan and his parents to live in a dorm with the other guys. He was 15 at their debut, and inspite of his young age, he became the main vocalist. A huge honor and a huge pressure for a shy kid. But he deserved it. He has a beautiful and pure voice, very stable, large range, and I personnaly think he has a perfect hear, because he can imitate every body easily, with inflexion and tone, and his voice is always at the good pitch and place. He is called the "golden maknae" because people says he is good at everything, but he work hard, to be better in his art. Very passionate guy ! Strong, quiet, free and sweet. My favorite JK solo songs : Begin, Still with you, and Still Alive (an OST for Hybe webtoon Chako). But I'm in love also with his english cover, his voice really gets you in ballad, like Falling, Nothing like us, 10000 hours... He make me cry in love songs

I would like to think that this song is for both BTS and ARMY’s, It just makes sense to me that both their fans and the rest of the members would be where Jungkook found his “Euphoria.” And yes Jungkook seems to be tearless when it comes to things that most would find scary. Also he had once said that “ARMY’s are everything. ARMY’s are my everything.”

11:30 if you look at the lyrics through the BTS Universe Storyline point of view as this song is part of the BU then he’s singing to Suga, (in the storyline Suga is his best friend more like a brother, but he’s suffering with depression and commits suicide by burning his room, Jungkook tries to save him but is not successful in doing so, this leads to Jungkook being depressed and committing suicide later in the storyline so much other stuff happens too but you gotta look into the storyline for that). However, if you just look at the lyrics as a song he hasn’t specified who’s he singing to. Could be army, could be someone he loves etc.
