- In this video I took my feel free moken 12.5 out to a new stretch of the red river of the north. The water stayed cold throughout the day and really turned the walleye fishing on. Still managed a few nice channel catfish.
Overall an amazing day in the midwest!
I Hope you guys enjoyed the video, and get out fishing soon. Tight Lines!

Learned something new, never caught walleye on cut bait like that before. Thanks for sharing, looks like a great time!
Thanks for watching, really was a great time!
My fav northern catman is back! 🎉 Another episode of the tastiest ‘not your grandpa’s’ fishing show!
My favorite father of frogs is in the house, welcome back
I’m getting after a monster channel cat this weekend. Straight up telling the fishing spot if you can’t deep voice I got a cousin in the Red River, and look it; don’t bite my 🪝 😊
Awesome
Love the random walleye hits on the goldeye, hoping to get on the red this next week.
Hopefully this weekend isn’t to cold and rainy, next week should be great fishing. Hope you can get out buddy
super like...

That is crazy. I have never seen walleye go crazy like that for cutbait. I will maybe get 1 or 2 a year.

Do u ever fish over by Perely Minn?i grew up there an use to catch alot of Channel cats and Buffalo. We would catch the walleye at my uncles place on Big Pine lake and at my aunts cabin on upper cormorant lake, alota sunfish an pike aswell.
Sure do! Perely has a great stretch of river
@@TheRiverAddict Thats awesome, wish my Grandparents were still with us so i could take gramp fishin.
How are you enjoying the Moken? I’ve been considering it.
Great little kayak. Paddles solid. Comfortable, lots of tracks and rod straps, dry storage. Only thing I’m not a fan of is the big box in the middle by your feet. Kinda gets in the way when dealing with fish
Going to be purchasing a second one here soon for my wife. Think I’m going to get a crescent lite tackle
Thanks for the response. I have an old town sportsman pdl but found the pdl more of a pain when trying to fish in current. Looking for just a throw and go kayak for river fishing. Looking at the Moken as a possibility.
@cstephenson205 the moken would be a great option, it’s not the fastest, but holds really nicely in the current.
I’ve had no issues paddling into the current like I did with my perception outlaw. It has this really nice wheel on the back too that makes throwing in at a bridge or something super nice.
I think my other recommendations would be either the crescent lite or the Tarpon 120 both excellent river kayaks.
Thanks for watching buddy
Thanks for the info, really enjoy your videos. I’ve been fishing my entire life but recently discovered catfishing…live in Moorhead so me experience has been all from the bank. Been kayak fishing for 4 years and love it. Time to try for cats from a yak. Thanks again.
What size hook do you use, all i have are these big catfish hooks that I don't think a walleye would bite.
I was catching these walleye on size 5-6 circle hooks, same hooks I use for catfishing.
Normally I’ll use like a size 2 walleye hook or small floating jig or octopus hook with a flathead minnow or crawler for walleyes.
The walleyes were just very aggressive and hungry this day because of the prespawn, they’ll hit about anything when the water temps 45-50 degrees
@@TheRiverAddict Thanks, I am still learning how to fish the Red.
