@@JaylenPotts-zs2qw do people understand independence? Realize the freedom; that was realized… not sure why it’s celebrated like Christmas in July? People all over America taking flights to be with family. Jumping off cliffs, not knowing how to swim? Swimming in shark infested waters? Hiking on the hottest day with children? It’s like independence takes the back seat in meaning and is traded in for drunken buffoonery. Did anyone think about freedom for others?
Why would you go hiking when temp is over 100? Why not take the kid to a pool?😢

We living in 2024 and the current trend is: anything that makes sense? We ain't doing it (e.g., If we are going for a hike in Phoenix, AZ in the middle of summer? We will pick the hottest day of the week, plan our hike around midday, and make sure to NOT bring any sunscreen or water...) - I hate it here!!! 😑🤬👎
There's no way that kid suffered in silence either. He had to have been showing major signs of distress.
I wondered that myself. Reminded me of the California couple (highly educated) who went hiking with their 1 year old baby and their dog in 100 plus weather. All perished. Senseless, avoidable deaths.

@cameron00148 I will thank you. I was going for a walk with my dogs they had their doggy shoes on. I went outside just to get the mail, and when I got home, I collapsed.. luckily, my family was home to call 911.
