Hey I agree with ya 110%, and I liked Olga too. They are both what got me interested in Watching Gymnastic's. I was/am amazed at how those Gymnist do thier routines. I think, I was 9 yrs old when Olga was doing her stuff.
I couldn't agree more I'm from the U.S. and it's shameful when I see that my countrymen have to be reminded how to behave in respect to people of other nations. I love the U.S. but I'm not proud of ill manners or insulting behavior by my countrymen. But I was young and didn't understand what she went through, that she was repressed and not allowed to be herself. Romanian is a Latin language (like Spanish and French) but has Slavic influences (Russian is a Slavic language).
just from looking at her now i would have never ever guessed that she used to be an olympic champion, or even a sports player.
