As you discover, no acting or fake tears in his eyes. This is real emotion with his dying father sitting beside him as James wanted to express his emotions to him in a song. Thankfully, and because of this song, a distant relative heard why James's father was dying, got tested and was a match. His father is still alive today. Both father and son were veterans and all royalties from this song goes to Help the Heroes, a charity for ex-servicemen and women.

This was done in one take, with one camera and no cuts or auto tune. This was the first time his father had heard it. By the end everyone in the studio was sobbing. His father looked around and asked why everyone was crying that he was still there. Due to the video, a distant cousin came forward and donated a kidney.

It takes a real man to show his tears and emotions ❀ this song hits home to myself and to alot of people out there James Blunt sang this to his dad who was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease and a distant cousin came forward was a perfect match for his dad's transplant ❀ they were both in the British military and wanted all the money donated to all veterans who died and survived the war god bless James Blunt such a beautiful tribute to his father ❀

When his Dad touches his arm, that gets me every time! I'm so glad that a kidney was found and that they were given more time together! at the very end he reaches over and touches him again, you didn't let it play out but that part gets to me too. Although I don't know who my father is, I had some father figures that I lost at a younger age and it was just as hard as if they were my father. These were my Uncles!

There are two occasions in my life where I have had to listen to ‘You’re Beautiful’ far more times than I’d perhaps choose to. The first was when the song was relatively new and we rented a room to a German student, who played it on repeat for hours at a time. The second was when we lived in Berlin 2013-16 and every time I went into a Kaisers or Edeka, there was James Blunt playing over the in-store radio (Sixpence None The Richer was played just as much too). You Germans love him!

Als James diesen Song aufgenommen hat galt sein Vater als unheilbar krank und niemand glaubte noch daran, dass ihm viel Zeit blieb. This is my first reaction I’ve heard from you, and I really enjoyed it 😊 If you are open to something different, I would recommend Aurora to you. She’s an empath, she started to write music at a very young age (like age 11, maybe younger), and she usually has a deeper message in her songs. You can start with some of her darker stuff, or lighter stuff, it’s good either way.
For the lighter stuff I would recommend “Through the eyes of a child”, from Nidarosdomen which is a cathedral. That’s an amazing performance. If you watch a bit after the performance ends, you will catch a glimpse of her personality, which is very sweet.
For the darker stuff I would recommend “Murder song 5 4 3 2 1” from the Nobel peace prize concert, or “It happened quiet”, the studio version (which has an amazingly haunting feel to it).

Please react to Dimash "the story of one Sky"
It's a 14 min MV but it's a so much important message for the all world. And it's a all concept video, letters... Like a little film.

Could you please react to Piece by piece by Kelly Clarkson (live from the American idol farewell season)? Super emotional and melancholy. She had everyone in tears and broke down Keith Urban ❀

@@scharsigo thank you so very much. I hope you will appreciate it. She wrote it as a follow up to Because of you. It's about her dad leaving her when she was 6 years old. It's a gem of a song ❀

Hallo Michael. About a mont ago, I recommended a reaction to Nightwish (in the comments of your 'The Warning - Dull Knives' video). You said you remembered their Rock am Ring show and wanted to react to some of their music. Any idea when you'll take a listen? I'd love to hear your opinion!

Hey Martine, I really have a lot on my list. But if you have one favorite let me know and I see if I can record it next week:)

@@scharsigo A favourite? No, I can't say, there are just too many great Nightwish songs. However, I can really recommend 'Romanticide' from Wacken 2013 to start with. czcams.com/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/video.html
That's one of their heavier songs. If you prefer a more melodic and epic song, go for 'Ghost Love Score' from the same show. czcams.com/video/47e_961OQWE/video.html
Thanks for wanting to record a reaction next week. I'll be looking forward to it. Take care!

The higher truth is? James' father had stage 4 kidney disease. They couldn't find a donor, his father was dying in the next room, so pushing through the anguish by honoring his father with an amazing song versus James Blunt, who loves his wife, children, father and mother who cynically misled millions of people. All proceeds go to veterans.
