People don't understand Tobirama. He is not an emotionally driven character. He doesnt hate or resent the Uchiha. He is not "racist". He is just cold and calculator. He undestands that Uchiha's power comes from hate. Hate and power together it's a dangerous combination for the peace of the village. Thats why he distrust Uchiha si much. Hashirama it's a more emotionally driven character that never loses hope in people, even when trust means risking everything he builded.
I think both are amazing characters with a great hart. They are both good in nature. The only different it's how they see the world. One is more realistic and calculator, the other it's just positive. Madara is pesimistic. He thinks the world can't be peacefull anyway so he wants to recreate it.
In the end, Tobirama is the middle point between Hashirama and Madara. He is rational and sees the world in a realistic way. He is ready to make Hard decitions. But at the same time he really thinks that peace and undestranding can be achived. Thats why he promotes the will of fire to Hiruzen hoping the world can become better every generation.
He has the balance between hope for a better world and a realistic view of it.

it's not that unpopular, many people like their story. but i think it works so well because it's a parallel to naruto and sasuke's story (it basically was born as a contrast to it). this way the message of the story with the repetitiveness of the history, the cycle of hatred in shinobi world and how hard it is to break it is even more prominent. i also think hashirama and madara's story is so good because it only lasts a few episodes and not 700 of them with too many things in between

Nah the reason people dislike tobirama is the open distrust of an entire clan based on one person isolating and preventing political power therefore creating hatred and mistrust giving a reason for their hatred. Actually in Japan, Tobirama is the most famous hokage in 5 hokages. They never had paid attention to him as a character who was completely out of focus until 4th war .But they found he invents reanimation jutsu"ç©ąćè»ąç " that left a great impact for them. So he became their favorite hokage. And they started calling him lord meanness"ććŁæ§".
Think of it this way...Hashirama was the founder and first Hokage, but it was Tobiramaâs responsibly to set up the nuts and bolts of the village. The ninja school, mission structure, police force...All the administrative work.
Hashirama it's very likely the sage of slugs. There are 3 sage regions. Mount Myoboku(frog-Naruto), Ryuchi Cave(snakes-where Kabuto learnt sage mode) and Shikkotsu Forest(slugs). Tsunade uses Katsuyuu and that slug has great regen powers. It was stated how broken Hashirama's regen abilities are so I am 100% sure he learnt sage jutsu in Shikkotsu Forest.
Trees are living things, he uses wood style, his senjutsu is from the wood.
If you see the 1000 Hands Jutsu it looks like it was derived or got inspiration from the Bhuddhism.
So it could be that Hashirama is like the sage of Bhuddhists in same relative way....I guess that could make a bit sense.

My theory is that he didn't learn sage from anyone. He taught himself how to take in nature energy because he could use all 5 nature transformations and yin and yang release.

Let us not forget: Danzo was trained by the Second Hokage, and learned his "ends justify the means" methodology from him.
So if Danzo is responsible for so much of the shit that happens due to his actions, by that logic the Second is the one who helped set it in motion.

It's not that Hashirama was more forgiving. At least not entirely. He was also capable of looking at the whole picture. The rest of the Senju vilified the Uchiha for killing their clansmen on the battlefield. But Hashirama recognized the truth of the situation, that the inverse was true as well. The two warring clans were focused only on the pain they received from the other. No thought was given to the fact that they themselves perpetuated the conflict by doing the same in turn. This is the kind of situation Pain was describing when he said 'if one comes to call vengeance 'justice', such 'justice' will only breed further vengeance'.
The Senju and Uchiha were locked in a vicious cycle of hatred with no end in sight because they couldn't see that they were doing to their rival clan exactly what the rival clan was doing to them. But Hashirama could see that. That's what made it possible for him to end the hostilities once he and Madara became the head of their respective clans. Hashirama's broader perspective allowed him to attempt to negotiate with Madara, not as a Senju to an Uchiha, but from one man to another. Clan lineage was not a line drawn in the same to Hashirama.
It took some doing, but Hashirama was eventually able to talk Madara down, and the two clans officially became allies, and through that alliance Konohagakure no Sato (Village Hidden in the Leaves) was built. Their example would eventually give rise to Sunagakure no Sato (Village Hidden in the Sand), Kirigakure no Sato (Village Hidden in the Mist), Iwagakure no Sato (Village Hidden in the Stones), and Kumogakure no Sato (Village Hidden in the Clouds). This growing establishment would come to be referred to as the 'One Nation, One Village' system.
Hashirama and Madara's backstory is very wholesome. I really would have wanted to see a version where they did not become enemies.

that's why Hashirama was nicknamed the shinobi god, he had captured several biju with his mokuton jutsu and share the biju them to other villages, so that there was a balance between villages, he was very strong

Everything Tobirama said is all base on his own ideas. The Uchiha just have a perk that allows them to have a huge power scale with emotions, mostly depression and rage, cause of the shock. That's what makes them different to everyone whos' power scales on their current base level. Their philosophy depends on their environment and past. The shock from depression just increases the mind(everyone) to undergo a certain state where they start overthinking. Basically, i'm saying that it's natural for changes in people if they are left alone. Suicidal people are a prime example.

3rd hokage, fought against the 10000 arm wood summoning, saved naruto ass from god tree, etc.
Only think minato did that was impressive was teleport everyone way from the 10 tails, after that he was literally useless. Oh also, he got his arm ripped off very easy. Minato didn't even knew that sage mode was effective until naruto explained to him while tobirama knew
minato couldn't even formulate a strategy all by himself.
@@rajnibrown2194 damn you tripping. minatos first move on the battlefield saved every shinobi including naruto ( he teleported the bijuudama away ) . Minato teleported the shinobi force out of the barrier which was the second time he saved all shinobis, he saved naruto and sasuke from juubito, he helped defeating juubito, he gave naruto the other half of kurama, he assisted guy in the fight against madara. he was literally the most useful and imported hokage on the battlefield. without him, naruto would have died 3 times ( obviously would be the end of the story/show) and the shinobi force would be destroyed 2 times, sasuke would have been killed in an instant. minatos existence saved the plot of naruto shippuden many times.
