    Much needed information. Your review convinced me to buy the SPOT beams. I will however purchase the covers for the protection while towing behind a motorhome. THANKS!

    Good video and review. The hood glare sucks when driving for long periods of time, Spot version is the way to go.

    • @alphaartisan
      @alphaartisan  Před 2 lety

      Yes even the spot has a fair amount, however my Jeep is white so the glare is always worse

    Lord I wish I had those on my semi. I used to have to shine a flashlight out the side window before making a tight turn into a black hole at night. I think I'll wire a pair of these to come on with my Jeep high beams.

    Nice review, thanks for showing the power of the beam. I'm going about planning a project for one of the cars on my channel using these but dimensions maybe be a limiting factor. If you can post exact measurement, length x width of the unit housing face (projection glass and casing as one) I would appreciate it

    Nice Video. Do they illuminate on both sides? meaning each cube left and right side. I worry they are going to bathe to hood with light towards the center of the hood. Again nice video. 4xe Owner

    • @alphaartisan
      @alphaartisan  Před 2 lety +3

      No they do not when you buy them as a pair one light illuminates on the right side and one light illuminates on the left side eliminating any glare that would occur if you were to mount them on the a pillar, i’m glad you like the video!

    You raised a good point I didn't think of with these as Ditch lights. Glare from a flood pattern on the hood. I'm guessing you've been down that road already

    • @alphaartisan
      @alphaartisan  Před 3 lety +1

      I have with their diffused pattern. Terrible good glare. I have one coming on my rigid pro 50 inch soon stay tuned

    • @ttsupra87
      @ttsupra87 Před 3 lety +1

      @@alphaartisan I was leaning towards a flood pattern not a diffused. Is there much of a difference

    • @alphaartisan
      @alphaartisan  Před 3 lety +1

      @@ttsupra87 if you get the dss I would go for the spot. It gives so much light down the trail and plenty off to both sides of the Jeep. If your looking for ditch lights I suppose floods would be good if they were aimed off the sides of the hood. What do you intend to use them for ?

    • @ttsupra87

      @@alphaartisan current setup is morimoto h1 mini projectors, rigid flood pattern dually on outside rigid driving dually on inside of winch bumper all four ** 1 apiece on each corner** facing forward, 3 rigid spot dually on winch bumper hoop in front of grill, d-ss thought process was to offer Ditch light for full 180 in front of me for when I'm on the back roads and deer detection

      The lights have been amazing, I live in New England, and I travel, mostly on the highway and after thousands of miles of sitting on the front of my jeep, they look exactly the same as they did when I first opened them. They don’t show any signs of rust or chips from rocks on the highway the light I’ll put is amazing and I’ve been more than happy with them. If I had to recommend just one pair of lights for a clean build, I would recommend these. I have them mapped in my Switch-Pros to come on when I turn on the high beams and it’s more light than I need and allows me to toggle them on and off quickly for oncoming traffic on back roads 10 out of 10 would recommend. If you found the video helpful, consider subscribing I’ll be putting out A review of the rigid 50 inch pro LED bar soon.

    There is various models of this rigid. The powerful one is Rigid D-SS PRO Driving. Can you please tell us if this one is the powerful one or not, I saw the powerful is the most expensive ($535)

    • @alphaartisan
      @alphaartisan  Před rokem +1

      Yes these are the rigid pro series which are the higher purpose models. The driving lights have more components ( LEDs) so they are more expensive. These spot models have a better “ further” output.

      I ran them through switch pros sp9100. Great product, I also used the high beam as a trigger to activate the solid state relay powering then so they came on with the high beams
