I just installed the AWE touring on my 19 TTRS and the drone is unbarable, especially at lower RPMs. Even in confort mode with the valves closed I couldn't stand more than 30 min of highway driving and in dynamic with the valves open the droning is so bad my center consol starts to vibrate.

Just recently purchased a 2020 TTRS and was wondering… does the intake sound better closed or open? Looking to see if it’s worth if for the closed carbon kit.

Well it gonna always sound better open as there’s no restriction lol, what you can do alternatively is just cut around the airbox to keep the heat shield

Does the AWE Switchpath in Sport mode sound like the Track version for the TTRS?

Switchpath with exhaust valve open is not as loud/raspy as the race kit. You still have one side going through a muffler.

Doesn't that open pod filter kill performance? It's sucking up all that engine bay hot air.

I would imagine iat would be high sitting in traffic, but i drive the car maybe 2x a month. Im also running a much larger aftermarket intercooler. There is also a duct that directs outside air to the open filter.

unfortunately it sounds kinda stupid before and after. A 5 cylinder turb should not be trying to sound like the lambo it will never be

The fact that you mentioned it, obviously holds some truth to the statement. And it doesn’t try to sound like a lambo it’s “half a gallardo” motor, that’s why it’s talked about in the same sentence. The 5cyl is a badass motor, can’t argue the fact But we’re all entitled to our opinions👍🏻

But to elaborate on your comment… the firing order and equal length exhaust manifold gives the sound…. I dont think its trying to be anything, but what it is 😂.
