The Young Engineers series is a collection of STEM Projects that I developed while teaching K-6 students. Every project uses the same set of inexpensive materials so it's cost effective for parents and educators to do multiple projects or teach large groups. Printable lesson plans and project picture sheets are available at www.stem-inventions.com/lesso...
Pyramid Catapult:
This is the easiest catapult project to build, yet it's incredibly durable and effective due to it's pyramid structure. Just transform 2D triangles - which are strong in themselves - into a super-strong 3D shape! - Jak na to + styl
Thank you so much! I have a major grade where I have to build a catupalt in 2 days with only 45 each day! Thanks! I’ll tell this to my group so we can fix it!❤❤
Grandkids made these yesterday and loved them! Great fun 😊Thanks

😊
Thank you so much for the video! It was such a wonderful craft with my 7 year old! We tested the catapults with different elastic bands, arm lengths and objects and we did a number of trials to make sure our results are consistent.
I’m going to do this with my physics class and have them measure the angles as well as the resultant. Simple but awesome!!! Thank you
I love this video! my son was doing a catapult project when we found this video. Plus now I know that my next catapult will be a triangular catapult!🙂🙂
Thanks for this video. Looking for a catapult project for my fourth graders who are learning about The Middle Ages. I like the simplicity of the project and how kids could use your video on Chromebooks to learn at their own pace. It looks like it would work well and I appreciate your sharing this video.
Nice project and nice video. I teach gifted education at two middle schools and will definitely be using this. The kids will love it! Thanks for what you do

He is an amazing kid
Nice build. Liked, commented and subscribed
Thanks you for this, I have a contest at my school for what catapult goes the farthest and I think I’ll win!
Update: I lost sadly but it was still a great design!
thx im gonna try 2 or 3 rubber bands that is possible right?
THIS WAS SOOOOOOOOOO helpful I needed this for my school project
same
how far does the projectile go?
What's the range
How far does it goes
What size is the skewer?
How far does it go
wow what a great design! but how can i make it so that I don't need to hold it when i pull down the arm? Should I add little weights to the front to make it "stable"? What I mean by stable is that I shouldn't need to use my hand to hold the catapult down when I pull my arm down. the catapult should be still staying and not moving even if i pull the arm down without my hand on the catapult. In this case, what should i do?
A little hard,but it’s still awesome!!!!!!
Can you please drop the procedure?
How much tape does he have?
What lever is this
What class of catapult is this?
catapult
I a making this for my sst steam project
Super
would this work to launch small bean bags. We have an engineer project coming up soon and I would like to use this design for it. The only difference is we do not have small bowls available like this. They are larger bowls, like 5x the size. Either that or a plastic spoon.
we also can not use our hands to hold it to the ground. It has to either be stable stationary by itself or with tape
Hi Lance, I am wondering if I can have a chance to chat with you? I am an educator in the Marshall islands and would like to use your videos with my teacher's and students?

This made me fail my school project thanks lance
How did you make your catapult differently? Think of the reasons that it failed and try to improve it.
@@haiki1292 this isn’t school get out of here
@@haiki1292 i agree
stop blaming it on the youtuber its your fault for not listening to the tutorial correctly but maybe you did listen properly and your school didnt want you to make that type and u werent paying attension
Never make a catapult again
Why did the duck cross the road bc it freaking can. I’m sick and tired of these liberals. I’m Brooke B and I’m on YOUR SIDE
You dont need to explain simple steps. Just do it. We all know how to put tape on something. Just show yourself doing it. Try not to be so wordy. Good video, though.
Yeah, it’s a detailed tutorial. Of course he’s going to talk.
