Mufti sb's comments that "all... and Jamaat Islami claimed all sorts of dreams" made me write these lines.
I'm a huge fan of Mufti Saeed sb... for his authentic, well-researched, cool-minded approach. He has an amazing grasp on issues ranging from history to current situation, legal discourse to political debates, fiqh and mystic view and tradition.
I just feel that he comes rather hard, or just passes unsavory comments on Syed Maududi.
In this lecture on Ghazwa-e Hind, Mufti sb rebuked Jamaat Islami for coming up and basing its narrative on "dreams"...
However much differences one may have with JI and Syed Maududi, it is a fact that they did not refer to "dreams" to justify their stance... Syed Maududi even stopped those who had seen "dreams" about him from making these public!

Salam, though it was a rationale discourse from mufti Saheb DB, but it’s so disappointing to note that mufti Saheb gone overboard in process of condemning ‘dream based politics’. He actually was very disrespectful of great personalities, who struggled against that time’s unjust and cruel rulers, he was disrespectful to Allama sanoosi RA, Ikhwan ul a Muslimeen, Syed Ahmad Shaheed, he ridiculed and indirectly called them ‘liars’ on the basis that they claimed that they dreamt Rasoolullah SAW. Hazrat mufti Saheb Gone so far to say: “forget about in dream if Rasoolullah SAW come in person and asks me to go to such direction and wage jihad there, I’ll fold my hands and will say please excuse me Rosoolullah SAW…. معاذ الله (my translation his words). It’s absolutely a blunder a huge gesture of disrespecting Rasoolullah SAW’ amount to kufr. He was very right in his approach to appeal everyone not to use Hadith or religion for political gain, I fully agreed on that but in this approach he gone very far. He must do taubah and apologize.

Walekum Assalaam. Your perception is not true. He only pointed out that all these "Tehreek" failed because the basis were on dreams and without preparation, being used by others for their political agendas or in some cases Ghadaari from within (Syed Sb Rahmatullah Aleh). Your question was already answered. Please take a few hours and listen to other bayaans and lectures to understand the vision of Mufti sb. For the time being, the answer to your Q on Ghazwa e Hind.

Wlkmslm WRB, thanks for taking time out to reply my ‘humble perception’. I’m not in favor of debating and arguing online, it turns ugly most of the time. I respect Mufti Saheb, I fully agreed on his view about Ghazwa e Hind or anything alike for that matter, rational approach is important too.
Mufti Saheb has crossed the limit when he blamed that:
all those ‘great movements’ were based on dreams and their leaders made fool of themselves and masses who struggled in those movements/tehreekaat. He didn’t explicitly use the word ‘fools’ but conveys more or less equal meanings/mafhoom ;
Then, it was height of disrespect and rudeness, unfortunately from such a learned scholar, when he says:
as far as we concerned, forget about coming in dream, if Rasoolullah SAW comes in person and ask us to go certain direction for jihad, We will fold our hands and will say sorry sir, please excuse us, we can’t do that…..( he used word Hum instead of I, that’s why I translated using ‘we’)

If you still want to do some تاویل/explanation of this utterly rude statement then that’s your way, I’ll be very disappointed if there will still be some ‘excuse’ from your end for this blunder.
There is no debate. To understand the perspective of someone, the other side has to look at the whole picture. Reaching conclusion after one short clip or a few clips is not appropriate especially for someone who is claiming he has “respect” for Mufti sb.
The incorrect perception that you reached about dreams was also answered when people raised the concern that you have raised about 3 years ago. Al Nadwa is الحمداللہ a research based institute and to understand the vision, we invite you to visit the institution ان شاء اللہ and spend time online and in person. That is the only solution to your perception unfortunately instead of one clip.

I am nobody important in the scene but include my message as an observer yes...
° I been watching / trying to understand Mufti Sab's message for past few days and am greatful for their efforts , the time (zamana) needs, we all know what, and sometimes people who have it can be recognised from a distance. Alhamdulilah. Our people need balanced approach. (At the beginning when he became popular) Ali Mirza has some good points too sometimes. But without adab one is ruined regardless of knowledge , we are all fearful and ask forgiveness for each others shortcoming. We are not perfect. Nor sometimes people intentionally intend bey-adbi.
I can admit, I make lots of mistakes too.
° in my understanding, it is that dreams do not make shariah. (i.e halal & haraam). Nor they can add an addition nor omit shariah. But if dream supports Amal upon a hukm already prescribed in shariah, it can be taken but STILL it requires taweel for how to interpret into Amal by authentic qualified Sheikh who been gifted this thing. And such bazrurgs are very possibly available today aswell. It is also true that people have done and DO use things (spiritual messages) for political movements 'incorrectly' or illogically, without any wisdom (which was also necessary) but it was lost at some point. Intentionally OR unintentionally. I wish to point towards NOT a dreams but just an ongoing political state as example so we understand > Dekho the haalat of the current Palestinian "army" and the fact they are not (never) ready and yet illogically keep attacking Israel and in return get wiped out themselves and sometimes thousands innocent are killed from their own ummah which could be avoided it they used logic and wisdom and did sabr instead of 'illogical' war at an illogical moment.
I think we all understand Mufti Sab here is making a greater point that ummah (most in ummah) needs to bring balance from ignorance and also stop rejecting spiritual realities. Both are extremes. This Mufti is practically showing moderation which is the true path, whoever applies it.
Thus sometimes to balance , scholars have to stretch the other way by 'jaiz force'.
NO DOUBT any words of bey-adabi should not be indicated (which can happen by accident) but Definately Mufti sab here is obviously NOT intending such lowly thing nor indicating outrightly.
It does seem it and I was hurt too hearing something like it outwardly.
But emphasis is made by them on that everybody keeps getting all these dreams, then "what is the criteria".
No doubt the dreams do happen and true dreams are happening, and Nabi alayhisalaam can ofcourse interact message if Allah wills to any ummatee and vice versa, however such a large decision involving millions of people of our ummah Ka nuqsaan, following a commandnina dream still isn't allowed. If A common person or a non-leader is claiming their jamaa'at's leader saw dreams and basharat has been made and it is involving jihad where millions are effected, that is something careful to consider or not?
However if Holy Prophet commands about Jihad bis saif and the person getting command is genuine leader of an official Muslim state , come on, it's a bit wrong to say 'i will say mazarat' in such state.
The best way true Sufiya adopt is they Never mention their dreams and kashf to public. Whoever has done, has caused problems no matter how sincere. Sometimes they might have been commanded to mention to public too. This is possible. Then it is a command and it should done : )
Once again, look at the larger picture that Mufti ssbs message is directly directed to the common folk who have no guidance or wrongly follow dreams and kashf and myths only without shariat and ISLAH and without tasawwuf and most do not have a true sheikh. even there are people who are wishy washy, who may just believe in Awliya , they might have adab but are relying on dreams and visions etc without a guide and interpretation.
What's worker, many are without shariah in their lives.
The Atom bomb statement makes sense. Prophet SAW never and would never want destruction of whole of humanity.
It's against shaan of Ambiya and impossible.
Infact it is an evil (atom bomb). But a necessary evil to keep even for Muslim countries . Mufti sab ke Sab points dekhein and aik cheez na uthai jai sirf because that is the whole picture and point they are making in other videos aswell that ppl pick and choose .
But at same time (even mufti sab, just like all correct scholars are saying) is anything leading to bey-adab is incorrect even in words.
° if one see' a command in a dream or halate Yaqzah (awake). They still need interpretation by a true , authentic Sheikh who has that qualification gift of interpretation. Such mesheikh are alive today. Taweel of dreams is not learnt from books. It's God given.
I believe in dreams and I believe Nabi SAW can command a person but if speaking to non-scholar common people who are not even practicing shariah and mentioning things of tasawwuf and claiming spirituality can command him to go to war.. if someone is away from necessary shariat and ekhlaq, (ie not following necessary halal and haram) I would say to them too DONT FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS as any basis of a sharriah. Especially not a command that involves billion of peoples fate being at a possible loss (such as war)...
Where is ummats ekhlaqiaat, islaah, system of shariah?? THEN comes tasawwuf.
True alwliya also give preference to shariah over anything else, that's why they are Awliya.
This Mufti says just before saying the 'Mazarat' statement and Aram bomb statement that 'Dont Base Your Any Major Decision On Dreams Only' .
Use your commons sense too.
Everything is not fanciful and we can not save ourselves by just relying on tamaanaa.. have proper will and talab and logic before Amal aswell.
By the way it is ofcourse true previous Khulafa and Sultans and Emirs saw kushuuf and khwaab CORRECTLY and could have been possible that they acted upon them. Although I can't confirm for anybodies dream...
Do you not remember Hazrat Sultan Eyub Ansari RA ki grave bi kashf kenzariye Milli. By ottoman bazrurgs they located the hidden grave.
But don't you Alos remember. ,even though Nabi SAW gave a PHYSICAL basharat for 'la taftahunna constantuniya.. nimul Ameer... & Nimul jaysh..' (paraphrased) WHY DO WE FORGET THAT SULTAN FATIH AND PREVIOUS ARMIES HAD TO ATTACK (and they lost) about 35 or 36 times before winning constantuniya and winning that basharat at the hands of Sultan Fatih, aged 18.
So we have to apply jid o jehd correctly aswell. Can't sit and rely on a dream not act incorrectly upon dreams.

امام احمد رضا خان علیہ الرحمہ کی کتاب کا حوالہ و صفحہ نمبر تو بتا دے تے
صرف دیوبندی کافر نہیں
بلکہ جو بھی ضروریات دین کا انکا کرے اور آقا ﷺ کی شان میں گستاخ کرے وہ اپنے کفر کی بنیاد پے کافر ہوجا تا ہے
میں مفتی سعید صاحب کا بہت عقیدتمند ہوں اور عرصہ سے ان کے خطابات و دروس سن رہا ہوں۔ فقہی اور تاریخی مسائل، نبی اکرم (ص) سے محبت اور تصوف ہر موقع پر مفتی صاحب بڑی دلیل کے ساتھ بات کرتے اور دل و دماغ کو متاثر کرتے ہیں۔
تاہم کبھی کبھی محسوس ہوتا ہے کہ سید مودودی (رح) کی متعلق سرسری، ہلکی یا غلط بات کر جاتے ہیں۔۔۔ گو کہ ان کی اہمیت اور اثرات کا انکار نہیں کرتے۔
اس لیکچر میں بھی، شاید روانی میں، فرما دیا کہ "جماعت اسلامی کو کیا کیا خواب نہیں آئے!" عالم اسلام کی دیگر تحریکوں کا تو نہیں معلوم، اور جماعت اسلامی سے لاکھ اختلاف سہی، مودودی صاحب نے کبھی خوابوں اور بشارتوں کا نہ دعوی کیا نہ سہارا لیا۔۔۔ بلکہ جن بزرگ حضرات نے ان کے بارے اپنے بڑے شاندار خواب بیان کیے، ان کو بھی عوام میں بتانے سے منع کیا۔
