I love how shirako was about to die multiple times in the movie series and most of the time he didnt really give a fuck 😭 and he witnessed one of the most important reveals of the story too and again... No fucks given. Just music. I love that guy
I didn't watched the movies when I was a kid until now that I'm 22, yeah at first I was a little turn off by the characters models and proportions (my theory is that since they tried to make character figures they wanted them to stand easily, but who knows) once you get over that you start appreciating the characters and story. The plot is crazy and ridiculous, but I love that it owns it, develops over it and takes itself seriously. To quote C.S. Lewis: “A children's story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children's story in the slightest.”
Sad part is thats very realistic and a very real problem in countries like where Kadeem is from. Corruption is especially egregious and pretty rampant along with abuses of power depending on the how the money is allocated like Politics. @@ScottLarsenThePilotwingsFan

In my bubble I'd bet that this Hot Wheels series, and Battle Force 5, maintained their popularity or at least a low-profile anecdotal status until Initial D became known by Eurobeat memes. In fact, when I watched the first two seasons of Initial D, I may have had some vague memory of Acceleracers.
That scene where Pork Chop reveals to Monkey about his waterphobia is amazing. And the best thing is Monkey's reaction. He doesn't say the best thing, he only emphasizes with him.

I honestly like the character designs. It’s them wanting to truly distinguish themselves and stand out more. This is HotWheels so be crazy and wild. Be edgy and cool. Be over the top. It’s a franchise about crazy fast cars, with wild designs, driving on roller coaster style tracks inside alien dimensions. Who cares about proportions? Be wild.
I also feel that using different animation would not be AcceleRacers, they could improve a bit of the shading, textures and lighting but going too far would stray away from what was the original.
I watched the Ultimate Race about 15 years ago and ended up on a cliff just to rewatch it last week and find out there is no continuation. Disappointment repeated

I think The entire acceleracers restoration project channel, which had all 4 acceleracers episodes and world race, has been taken down. I seriously do not know why Mattel is doing this. This series is a part of our childhood. They know that we love the series yet, they're doing this. We even want far enough to make fan games for a 17 year old movie series. Some of us are even making a final conclusion as a fan movie. I dont want this series to die like this. Unless Mattel reverts these copyright claims or upload the movies themselves for free on YT itself, not netflix or any paid service, this series will die.

You can tell that the character models (with the sole exceptions of Lani and Tezla) were made with the idea that they would spend most of their onscreen time driving in mind Because when they are in their cars they actually look pretty good (Even Tork “Sausage arms” Maddox) Everything else looks absolutely incredible and most of it holds up pretty well (especially the racing realms themselves) I can only imagine how beautiful the series would look if it was remastered with the advancements in CG technology we have today Hopefully one day Mattel finally lets us see the true ending to Acceleracers one day

Whenever someone Mentions Hot wheel, they always remember Acceleracers and Highway 35. I think Mattel wanted more than just sticking that series. But I think it failed. Nowadays, after their stupid decision to not conclude the series, Everyone is craving for more Acceleracer/Highway 35. But glad Mattel acknowledges the Fandom on Unleash and Horizon 5.

I'm 19 and still watch these movies religiously cause god DAMN there still amazing. I have become a licensed racing driver and these movies had a huge roll in me doing that.
What I miss these days is genuinely complex characters that even adults could enjoy. Everything "for kids" these days is just stripped of anything remotely interesting and boils down to directly educating kids through unrealistic characters and stories. Sure partially it's nostalgia speaking, I loved these movies as a kid, but something about this time period just feels right... I was hugely into NFS: Most Wanted, Flatout 2 and Colin Mcrae Rally 4 were huge part in my childhood and I played with Hotwheels cars till I was about 13-14. I watched the movies again as an adult and I still really like them, but for more reasons. As a kid I mostly cared about the car designs, the different effects from accelecards and realm designs, but now I can fully appreciate all the depth that went into the characters, their development and the overall story and music scores.
i think you describing this series as "changing the way you played with toys" is a perfect statement about the series. i think this inspired my huge imagination as a kid to be honest. these characters were so well written, everytime i played with toys, id always want to create a storyline or something like that. great video, so glad this series is still being appreciated to this day.
I do hope that one day, Mattel can give us a remastered version of Acceleracers and an ending that gives us a proper conclusion to the series and answer the questions everyone including myself from back then as a kid told myself like what happened to Vert after it was revealed that his dad was a Silencer, did Vert himself become a Silencer, did the other racers ever find Vert after rescuing Markie from the Racing Drones and escaping the Acceledrome, and if the series does get remastered….. Will they do Kadeem right…… these are questions even I still ask myself to this very day.

They were supposed to make every character have flaws in some way. Shiroko, for example, was supposed to be revealed to have tinnitus and cockiness problems, which costed him his car in a separate short video (or at least that's what some video essayist said).
Not sure about the tinnitus thing but yes Shirako does end up losing his car on the cliffside realm because of his cockiness (couldn't hear what Lani was saying because he was blasting his music)
I will forever be mad about them not making a proper finale. Just rewatched the series for the first time in atleast 10 years. Still absolutely holds up today. Brought me back to my childhood 🥲

I actually prefer the Acceleracers Taro design to the World Race version. I know it came first but it fits his character more. Could you imagine the original WR Taro staying in the background and being the string silent type?
I became a car guy because of teku cool cars and metalmaniacs musclecars... As i'm thinking now, the acceleracers are a big part of my life, it shaped my musical taste and also my cars taste, i love muscle cars because of their v8 engines and japan cars because of their look Also honestly, i prefer the polish dubbing, it just sound so much better (the voices fit characters a lot more imo)
I absolutely LOVE this series. I grew up with Hot Wheels, Legos, Bionicles, and more, but nothing will ever replace Hot Wheels for me as a kid... They hold a special place in my heart and I'm so glad I watched these as a kid back when I was by a library and they had the CD's. I would keep checking them out over and over whenever I could because it was so awesome to watch!! Hopefully someday, it does comeback with a proper and good ending. Let us keep Acceleracers alive!!
my best memories of me being young is going to the dvd rental store, picking up ignition (movie 4 cuz 3 was always stolen) going back to my blue-ray and old ass crt tv and watching these movies 5 times in a row. I remember once I saw a dream about acceleracers 5, and woke up the next day and told my mom to go to the dvd rental again cuz i thought they had it there already!
My honest thought is that the plot is better than it needed to be. I already rewatched it a few times as an adult and I am left impressed every time. It has almost nonstop action to sell diecast cars yet it develops a catchy story.
It'd be so cool to see an end to the series even if it is with just a comic, but at least we got some love with Unleashed having some of the cars in it
It was my all time favourite series as a child and couldnt stop seeing the movies. 18 years later is still one of my favourite series and the feeling of that end never got out of my mind. Such a great saga!!
For me the models of the characters fit the overall style of the animation It's like someone took a concept art of a character and literally turned into a 1:1 representation in a 3D model

I loved watching these movies. The music was amazing and I rock out to the soundtrack all the time. The car design was really great too. Power Rage, Baseline, Syncro, and Reverb are my favorite vehicles. The character development was really good too

I had all of these movies as a kid I even remember the virtual garage that explained all the characters and the cars in the movie it was the first time I ever heard of a rotary engine and later on in my life I found out it was an actual thing and I was surprised with the amount of detail they actually put into the movies itself and the special features there was also a CZcams channel a couple months ago who uploaded The movies with remastered graphics he was working on it for months if not years and then shortly after he put it out his channel Got taken down by Mattel. They don’t want anyone re-creating those movies Which is really sad because they won’t even do it themselves I would love to be able to buy them again
i have to say that for me the voice acting and voice lines make this move so iconic and memorable. At least in portuguese they did a really good job with the dub and make me remember some phrases every now and then. its a shame that a project that was made with so much love was cancelled like that

Actually jealous about the amount of Acceleracers toys you have, I have the Climber Hyperpod, about half of the hotwheels cars (only Acceleracers, no HW35) and a knockoff sweeper. I really wanted a toy sweeper as a kid but I couldn't get them anywhere.

(Year late but whatever) I loved this series as a kid and while today the animation/cgi can be a bit dated it’s not to bad held up pretty good over the years. The story is also great the character conflicts are simple yet interesting and I’ll say this the story across the 5 films are better than some movies we get today, I said it there hasn’t been anything good outside the odd banger release and these are enjoyable with likeable characters. The worst part of this series is the ending cause it’s a cliffhanger that you could tell the writers had ready to follow up on it. The 2 things I’ve seen is apparently one of the songs in the next film had bad language and Mattel stopped the series cause they didn’t want acceleracers to be the thing hotwheels is known for. Mattel also took down the movies on CZcams so internet archives is your best bet to watch them but hopefully they rerelease them on CZcams on an official channel

This video is so well made. I remember watching the movies as a kid (6 y. o.) and then revisiting them when I was like 15 or so a few years back. It was so amazing to find a lost piece of my childhood and get all of the jokes I didn't understand. Almost every year since I rewatch the movies and look at some youtube videos. Honestly a 10/10 series about racing, It's just so well made in my eyes nothing else to say really. And I really envy your car collection.

I absolutely LOVE this series. I grew up with Hot Wheels, Legos, Bionicles, and more, but nothing will ever replace Hot Wheels for me as a kid... They hold a special place in my heart and I'm so glad I watched these as a kid back when I was by a library and they had the CD's. I would keep checking them out over and over whenever I could because it was so awesome to watch!! Hopefully someday, it does comeback with a proper and good ending. Let us keep Acceleracers alive!!

my best memories of me being young is going to the dvd rental store, picking up ignition (movie 4 cuz 3 was always stolen) going back to my blue-ray and old ass crt tv and watching these movies 5 times in a row. I remember once I saw a dream about acceleracers 5, and woke up the next day and told my mom to go to the dvd rental again cuz i thought they had it there already!

My honest thought is that the plot is better than it needed to be. I already rewatched it a few times as an adult and I am left impressed every time. It has almost nonstop action to sell diecast cars yet it develops a catchy story.
It'd be so cool to see an end to the series even if it is with just a comic, but at least we got some love with Unleashed having some of the cars in it
It was my all time favourite series as a child and couldnt stop seeing the movies. 18 years later is still one of my favourite series and the feeling of that end never got out of my mind. Such a great saga!!
For me the models of the characters fit the overall style of the animation

I loved watching these movies. The music was amazing and I rock out to the soundtrack all the time. The car design was really great too. Power Rage, Baseline, Syncro, and Reverb are my favorite vehicles. The character development was really good too

I had all of these movies as a kid I even remember the virtual garage that explained all the characters and the cars in the movie it was the first time I ever heard of a rotary engine and later on in my life I found out it was an actual thing and I was surprised with the amount of detail they actually put into the movies itself and the special features there was also a CZcams channel a couple months ago who uploaded The movies with remastered graphics he was working on it for months if not years and then shortly after he put it out his channel Got taken down by Mattel. They don’t want anyone re-creating those movies Which is really sad because they won’t even do it themselves I would love to be able to buy them again
i have to say that for me the voice acting and voice lines make this move so iconic and memorable. At least in portuguese they did a really good job with the dub and make me remember some phrases every now and then. its a shame that a project that was made with so much love was cancelled like that

I loved this series as a kid and while today the animation/cgi can be a bit dated it’s not to bad held up pretty good over the years. The story is also great the character conflicts are simple yet interesting and I’ll say this the story across the 5 films are better than some movies we get today, I said it there hasn’t been anything good outside the odd banger release and these are enjoyable with likeable characters.
The worst part of this series is the ending cause it’s a cliffhanger that you could tell the writers had ready to follow up on it. The 2 things I’ve seen is apparently one of the songs in the next film had bad language and Mattel stopped the series cause they didn’t want acceleracers to be the thing hotwheels is known for.
Mattel also took down the movies on CZcams so internet archives is your best bet to watch them but hopefully they rerelease them on CZcams on an official channel

This video is so well made. I remember watching the movies as a kid (6 y. o.) and then revisiting them when I was like 15 or so a few years back. It was so amazing to find a lost piece of my childhood and get all of the jokes I didn't understand. Almost every year since I rewatch the movies and look at some youtube videos. Honestly a 10/10 series about racing, It's just so well made in my eyes nothing else to say really. And I really envy your car collection.
