So many interesting people in the world and the charts he picked to practice on were the charts of Greta Thunberg, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Lady Gaga, Stephen Colbert, and many other neoliberal leftists who I didn't care about. I didn't learn much from it, unfortunately.

When uranus was on top of my jupiter (which rules the 8th) in late 2017, I got free funding to one of the most expensive universities on the continent. It happened out of nowhere, basically fell out of the sky, it was a random semantic stroke of luck that happened to benefit me at that exact time.

Rick is a good example of utilizing the energy (which is actually a gift) in a positive manner. Some stodgy types can't stand my Uranus (Uranus is conjunct my Asc) energy so I tried to stifle it. I have natal Uranus in my 2nd house. Huge ups and downs in finances. Lottery win, debt, job losses, etc. My finances have never been stable. I've been homeless and I've lived in luxury. I also like to earn money in unusual ways. Transiting Uranus is currently transiting my 7th house. I went through a horrible breakup as soon as it crossed my DC. Lots of changes in relationships.
It's going through my 7th house too, and the partners I attract are all resistant to settling down (me too). I'm also being introduced to some kinky stuff.
You should do a podcast on pondering the name of the next planet, the huge gravitational anomaly in the outer solar system -- look up 'Planet X' or 'Planet 9'. It's supposed to be a dark gas giant.

Thank you both so much. Uranus is conjunct my Ascendant, and I'm in a pickle in my life rn. I was looking for an answer, but I didn't listen to this podcast to find one; I was just drawn to it. Then I looked at my horoscope and discovered that Uranus is on my Ascendant! So I'm like, okay, that's it - that's what's wrong with me or rather, on the real level - this is actually what is right with me from the viewpoint of the cosmos, but it's what is wrong with me according to those around me. So I investigated my chart a bit further and discovered what aspects Uranus is forming and listed them in my journal under the heading of THE ABERRANT REALMS OF MY LIFE because these are the houses where Uranus "becomes visible" as Rick was explaining. Truly helpful! Tyvm Chris and Rick! Thanks to you guys, I'm innovating and having much smoother sailing now! There's more to it, but I feel much better about everything after listening to this podcast!

I just finished watching ur first video, I spell my water on my phone, tv remote control and blanket. I hang the blanket on treadmill not knowing the droplets got into extension cord plug. I plugged in there was piping sound and smoke. Thank god no physical harm. Believe in the universe.
I have the Uranus and Pluto conjunction in Virgo 5H. Pluto is exactly quincunx my mercury which means Uranus is 2 degrees from that quincunx. They are opposite my Chiron and square my nodes. I have healed from my childhood trauma, am a healer and an earth healer. I am currently in the process of producing my first oracle deck from messages received via the Akashic Records.

I can see why you feel that way since your Uranus is not only in its own sign but also in a critical degree. It basically creates extra importance and focus whenever a planet is in a critical degree. 😊
I have had experiences like the story about the guy whose house burned down. In one instance, I had become aware of Uranus opposite Mercury in retrograde (if memory serves me). I had an important job interview scheduled and told my mom that I had a bad feeling about going. I didn't mention astrology because, well, she is normal. She assumed I was flaking out or self-sabotaging so I went. I drove 45 min. there and got the job offer. On my way home, my car broke down and I called her to get a ride. She was quite surprised at how delighted I was to have my car break down after just getting a good job. It pushed me deeper into these studies and I don't regret it one bit. Also gave me a certain level of acceptance that there are things beyond my control.
This was fantastic! Loved how Rick talked about his fall on the pier and how it forced him to go back to his personal truth of continuing his profession of being an astrologer.
Somewhat feel like Rick's excitement at times derailed Chris from being able to finish thoughts that I was invested in. Another absolutely wonderful podcast though -- thank you for this incredible resource! What a time we live in where this information is so freely available.
Although Uranus must be unpredictable, it might be possible to influence the "solution space" in which its outcomes can be integrated. Meditation, exercise and anything else that measurably increases the resilience of our nervous / hormonal systems could be Uranian (body electric) practices that help us reach for gracefully riding the wave. Yes, unpredictable kazcham! AND resilient neural-emotional capacity to integrate.
So interesting, just listened. On 9/26/96 I got in a car accident where I broke my neck and required emergency surgery. It forced me to go on disability for 4 months yet enabled me to start my own business doing creative work that I loved instead of these horrible office jobs I had for years. Reawakened my joy of life, nature, and how much I loved the special people in my life. It was the night of a total lunar eclipse, Uranus was 00 degrees Aquarius, squaring my Sun, Mercury, and Neptune in Scorpio, and conjunct my rising sign in Aquarius. Not sure if significant but Pluto was in 00 Sagittarius as well, squaring my natal Pluto in Virgo. Mars in Leo was also conjunct my Uranus in Leo and squaring my nodes.
So looking forward to this episode!! My natal Uranus is at 18°41’ sag, in a tight conjunction with Venus at 18°38’ and squaring my moon in Pisces at 17°
As someone with Uranus (22.23) conjunct my AC (16.53) in Cancer, in opposition to my Aquarius Moon (conjunct N.Node) - and also squaring my Saturn (26.05)Neptune (22.36) conjunction in Libra, this is the episode I've been hoping for, so thank you very much for doing it!!!!! I've 'always' felt different, and it was a game changer for me when I began to study astrology, and could see myself reflected in my birth chart!
Great podcast! Thank you. One of the reasons I became interested in Uranus is because it is very prominent in my birth chart. Uranus (04° 39' Lib) is both in tight conjunction with my Ascendant (04° 34' Lib), and stationed direct the day before I was born. In other podcasts you've discussed the significance of planets that station direct very near the natal chart, but I can't seem to remember which podcast it was. I was hoping those topics would be discussed in depth in this podcast

This is so good! Haven't listened to/watched astrology podcasts in a while, and today I was searching for something to listen while vacuuming (which I really dislike). So now I'm at 2h 26min in, I vacuumed, did my physiotherapy exercises, cooked a meal, changed a lightbulb and will soon do some laundry. All these while feeling the constant awe from listening to this discussion and learning so much. It's a miracle, as I usually don't really have energy nor motivation to do these stuff, not to mention so much one after the other. I subscribed, let's see if other episodes motivate me as much as this to do the housework. Nevertheless, this channel is gold, thank you!

Wonderful deep dive. Love the Prometheus alternate name. In my chart on 12th House Cusp 29 degree Gemini, Retrograde. Only one aspect, a square to Pisces Moon in 9th H. Became a Past Life Hypotherapist for awhile, qualifies for this planet category and placement! LOL I found old Astrology books in used bookstores years before Linda's Sun Sign book published, and never looked back. Everything I read I remembered from past lives as Astrologer. Metaphysics, Astrology, Tarot and channeled books about Nature of Reality is my go to baseline. Discovered early that people I know visit me for a last conversation when they die. I have never questioned the unusualness of my life, as it is normal to me.

Uranus could as easily be assigned to the moment of conception as it could be to any sign or house rulership. But very hard to draw conception charts haha. Thanks for this series!
🤔 Interesting! My father has Uranus conjunct his sun and I have, according to Vedic astrology, Uranus at the same degree of the Asc in D9 or Navamsa chart. The 9th house in Vedic astrology is a Karaka for parents. While I am only a student and am most times more confused than not, this comment made me laugh at the riddle of it all😆
Phenomenal episode! I have Uranus in the 9th at 4 Libra conjunct Sun/5 Libra and Mercury/6 Libra. Sun rules the 7th and I need quite a bit of independence and freedom in relationships. Some relationships are unconventional and can start and end suddenly. Uranus just stationed on my natal moon at 14 Taurus, ruling my 6th House. My daily habits and eating have been very erratic past few months. Also I work in an office and know I can *never* go back to “working in an office” after working remotely since March of 2020.

I have Uranus right on my ascendant, ( 29° LEO) and it has not been easy at all. I'm 60 years old, and still I am sometimes unaware of the effect I have on others. I often evoke change in the heart and soul of the people I encounter. On the other hand, cooperation with partners has proven to be extremely difficult, not because I don't want to, but because for some reason it is just not possible. It's like I am forced to do things myself, my own way. But it has been a constant source of grief and even anxiety that it's so difficult for me to truly find deep connection. With aging I've come to see that acceptance is the way to go, accepting that for some people I seem weird and eccentric.....PS I have a Uranus Jupiter opposition (and Jupiter is conjunct chiron natal). All I have ever done in the world is about restoring and accepting the child within; all the art I produce is to empower young children.
What a great episode! Lots of great insights. I would add, too, that in addition to the American and French Revolutions there was the Haitian Revolution! What is more Uranian than refusing to accept slavery? And it’s very independence and overhaul of the slave system set a precedent for the 19th century. Massive changed resulted from Haiti’s incredibly powerful revolution and it should be considered in discussions around Uranus.
Uranus opposite my natal Uranus in 2019, ugh, my youngest son fell down at school then became sick. The transition about crushed me, yet now I can say it taught me so much and opened my heart beyond what I could have ever imagined possible and I'm thankful to say my son is doing well💞

Uranus is in my 4th house! The concepts of “family” and “home” have always been very unique and even strange to me since like forever.... Grew up as an only child with no other relatives apart from my parents, so no big family gatherings, no big family events, no “big family support system”, and even at one point we got evicted from “our” “home” so yeah, lots of drastic changes and that permanent feeling of being “the outsider” but.... let me tell you, the more uranian⚡️challenges you overcome the happier and more proud you are of your resilience and your uniqueness 👽 don’t know if this is experience making you wiser and stronger or my Aquarius moon giving me a hand 😄, but I am even kind of thankful for all those circumstances, as strange as that may sound.. Since Uranus entered my Sunsign (has not reached my sun yet) & went back and forth over my Moon & Mercury & the opposition to my natal Uranus I feel activated on a soul level and I love it. I do have pains in my spine at different points, that tend to get stronger in retrograde. In the last weeks I focused on opening these energies in my spine and it adds to the transformation. I love it. I have respect, still! But I feel like a brother came to pick me up… And take me to great places…

I loved this episode so much. I had to split it up over the course of a few days, but I feel so much more in tune with uranian energy. Rick is a good example of utilizing the energy (which is actually a gift) in a positive manner. Some stodgy types can't stand my Uranus (Uranus is conjunct my Asc) energy so I tried to stifle it. Boy oh boy was that the wrong thing to do! I'm talking they LITERALLY can't handle my energy. So glad to finally understand this!

I have natal Uranus in my 2nd house. Huge ups and downs in finances. Lottery win, debt, job losses, etc. My finances have never been stable. I've been homeless and I've lived in luxury. I also like to earn money in unusual ways. Transiting Uranus is currently transiting my 7th house. I went through a horrible breakup as soon as it crossed my DC. Lots of changes in relationships.
It's going through my 7th house too, and the partners I attract are all resistant to settling down (me too). I'm also being introduced to some kinky stuff.
You should do a podcast on pondering the name of the next planet, the huge gravitational anomaly in the outer solar system -- look up 'Planet X' or 'Planet 9'. It's supposed to be a dark gas giant.

Thank you both so much. Uranus is conjunct my Ascendant, and I'm in a pickle in my life rn. I was looking for an answer, but I didn't listen to this podcast to find one; I was just drawn to it. Then I looked at my horoscope and discovered that Uranus is on my Ascendant! So I'm like, okay, that's it - that's what's wrong with me or rather, on the real level - this is actually what is right with me from the viewpoint of the cosmos, but it's what is wrong with me according to those around me. So I investigated my chart a bit further and discovered what aspects Uranus is forming and listed them in my journal under the heading of THE ABERRANT REALMS OF MY LIFE because these are the houses where Uranus "becomes visible" as Rick was explaining. Truly helpful! Tyvm Chris and Rick! Thanks to you guys, I'm innovating and having much smoother sailing now!

I have the Uranus and Pluto conjunction in Virgo 5H. Pluto is exactly quincunx my mercury which means Uranus is 2 degrees from that quincunx. They are opposite my Chiron and square my nodes. I have healed from my childhood trauma, am a healer and an earth healer. I am currently in the process of producing my first oracle deck from messages received via the Akashic Records.

I feel an intense affinity with Uranus, i have it 0° in Aquarius and I can say it's a pillar of my being.
I can see why you feel that way since your Uranus is not only in its own sign but also in a critical degree. It basically creates extra importance and focus whenever a planet is in a critical degree. 😊
I have had experiences like the story about the guy whose house burned down. In one instance, I had become aware of Uranus opposite Mercury in retrograde (if memory serves me). I had an important job interview scheduled and told my mom that I had a bad feeling about going. I didn't mention astrology because, well, she is normal. She assumed I was flaking out or self-sabotaging so I went. I drove 45 min. there and got the job offer. On my way home, my car broke down and I called her to get a ride. She was quite surprised at how delighted I was to have my car break down after just getting a good job. It pushed me deeper into these studies and I don't regret it one bit. Also gave me a certain level of acceptance that there are things beyond my control.
So looking forward to this! having Uranus sitting on my ascendant natal ... I have mastered this friendship but it took a couple decades

Somewhat feel like Rick's excitement at times derailed Chris from being able to finish thoughts that I was invested in. Another absolutely wonderful podcast though -- thank you for this incredible resource! What a time we live in where this information is so freely available.
Although Uranus must be unpredictable, it might be possible to influence the "solution space" in which its outcomes can be integrated. Meditation, exercise and anything else that measurably increases the resilience of our nervous / hormonal systems could be Uranian (body electric) practices that help us reach for gracefully riding the wave. Yes, unpredictable kazcham! AND resilient neural-emotional capacity to integrate.
I have Uranus exactly opposite Chiron in Aquarius. So I guess that's why, when I think about Uranus, I jump to ideas around healing.

So interesting, just listened. On 9/26/96 I got in a car accident where I broke my neck and required emergency surgery. It forced me to go on disability for 4 months yet enabled me to start my own business doing creative work that I loved instead of these horrible office jobs I had for years. Reawakened my joy of life, nature, and how much I loved the special people in my life. It was the night of a total lunar eclipse, Uranus was 00 degrees Aquarius, squaring my Sun, Mercury, and Neptune in Scorpio, and conjunct my rising sign in Aquarius. Not sure if significant but Pluto was in 00 Sagittarius as well, squaring my natal Pluto in Virgo. Mars in Leo was also conjunct my Uranus in Leo and squaring my nodes.
So looking forward to this episode!! My natal Uranus is at 18°41’ sag, in a tight conjunction with Venus at 18°38’ and squaring my moon in Pisces at 17°

As someone with Uranus (22.23) conjunct my AC (16.53) in Cancer, in opposition to my Aquarius Moon (conjunct N.Node) - and also squaring my Saturn (26.05)Neptune (22.36) conjunction in Libra, this is the episode I've been hoping for, so thank you very much for doing it!!!!! I've 'always' felt different, and it was a game changer for me when I began to study astrology, and could see myself reflected in my birth chart!

Great podcast! Thank you. One of the reasons I became interested in Uranus is because it is very prominent in my birth chart. Uranus (04° 39' Lib) is both in tight conjunction with my Ascendant (04° 34' Lib), and stationed direct the day before I was born. In other podcasts you've discussed the significance of planets that station direct very near the natal chart, but I can't seem to remember which podcast it was. I was hoping those topics would be discussed in depth in this podcast

This is so good! Haven't listened to/watched astrology podcasts in a while, and today I was searching for something to listen while vacuuming (which I really dislike). So now I'm at 2h 26min in, I vacuumed, did my physiotherapy exercises, cooked a meal, changed a lightbulb and will soon do some laundry. All these while feeling the constant awe from listening to this discussion and learning so much. It's a miracle, as I usually don't really have energy nor motivation to do these stuff, not to mention so much one after the other.
I subscribed, let's see if other episodes motivate me as much as this to do the housework. Nevertheless, this channel is gold, thank you!

Wonderful deep dive. Love the Prometheus alternate name. In my chart on 12th House Cusp 29 degree Gemini, Retrograde. Only one aspect, a square to Pisces Moon in 9th H. Became a Past Life Hypotherapist for awhile, qualifies for this planet category and placement! LOL I found old Astrology books in used bookstores years before Linda's Sun Sign book published, and never looked back. Everything I read I remembered from past lives as Astrologer. Metaphysics, Astrology, Tarot and channeled books about Nature of Reality is my go to baseline. Discovered early that people I know visit me for a last conversation when they die. I have never questioned the unusualness of my life, as it is normal to me.

Great talk. So glad you guys are discussing the seemingly almost arbitrariness of the assignment of the outer planets to signs. Uranus could as easily be assigned to the moment of conception as it could be to any sign or house rulership. But very hard to draw conception charts haha. Thanks for this series!
🤔 Interesting! My father has Uranus conjunct his sun and I have, according to Vedic astrology, Uranus at the same degree of the Asc in D9 or Navamsa chart. The 9th house in Vedic astrology is a Karaka for parents. While I am only a student and am most times more confused than not, this comment made me laugh at the riddle of it all😆
Phenomenal episode! I have Uranus in the 9th at 4 Libra conjunct Sun/5 Libra and Mercury/6 Libra. Sun rules the 7th and I need quite a bit of independence and freedom in relationships. Some relationships are unconventional and can start and end suddenly. Uranus just stationed on my natal moon at 14 Taurus, ruling my 6th House. My daily habits and eating have been very erratic past few months. Also I work in an office and know I can *never* go back to “working in an office” after working remotely since March of 2020.

I have Uranus right on my ascendant, ( 29° LEO) and it has not been easy at all. I'm 60 years old, and still I am sometimes unaware of the effect I have on others. I often evoke change in the heart and soul of the people I encounter. On the other hand, cooperation with partners has proven to be extremely difficult, not because I don't want to, but because for some reason it is just not possible. It's like I am forced to do things myself, my own way. But it has been a constant source of grief and even anxiety that it's so difficult for me to truly find deep connection. With aging I've come to see that acceptance is the way to go, accepting that for some people I seem weird and eccentric.....PS I have a Uranus Jupiter opposition (and Jupiter is conjunct chiron natal). All I have ever done in the world is about restoring and accepting the child within; all the art I produce is to empower young children.

What a great episode! Lots of great insights. I would add, too, that in addition to the American and French Revolutions there was the Haitian Revolution! What is more Uranian than refusing to accept slavery? And it’s very independence and overhaul of the slave system set a precedent for the 19th century. Massive changed resulted from Haiti’s incredibly powerful revolution and it should be considered in discussions around Uranus.
My first astrology book was Linda Goodman's sun signs. My mother had the book. It still applies. She work is encyclopedic.

Uranus opposite my natal Uranus in 2019, ugh, my youngest son fell down at school then became sick. The transition about crushed me, yet now I can say it taught me so much and opened my heart beyond what I could have ever imagined possible and I'm thankful to say my son is doing well💞

Uranus is in my 4th house! The concepts of “family” and “home” have always been very unique and even strange to me since like forever.... Grew up as an only child with no other relatives apart from my parents, so no big family gatherings, no big family events, no “big family support system”, and even at one point we got evicted from “our” “home” so yeah, lots of drastic changes and that permanent feeling of being “the outsider” but.... let me tell you, the more uranian⚡️challenges you overcome the happier and more proud you are of your resilience and your uniqueness 👽 don’t know if this is experience making you wiser and stronger or my Aquarius moon giving me a hand 😄, but I am even kind of thankful for all those circumstances, as strange as that may sound..

Oh I am enjoying this so much! Thank you!!! My natal Uranus is in Scorpio opposite Mercury & the Moon. Since Uranus entered my Sunsign (has not reached my sun yet) & went back and forth over my Moon & Mercury & the opposition to my natal Uranus I feel activated on a soul level and I love it. I do have pains in my spine at different points, that tend to get stronger in retrograde. In the last weeks I focused on opening these energies in my spine and it adds to the transformation. I love it. I have respect, still! But I feel like a brother came to pick me up… And take me to great places…

This discussions is so good! Thank you! my view on RL's accident - Uranus opposite his Ascendant - difficult and disruptive, including to his body and way of expressing himself. But a trine to major personal planets: a longer term supportive energy for his wonderful gifts and self expression, vocation and influence.
I loved this episode so much. I had to split it up over the course of a few days, but I feel so much more in tune with uranian energy. I love the concept of Neptune being magnetic energy and Uranus being electric energy. I’m new to astrology and trying to self teach myself. I’m very drawn to the outer planets even though I understand them to be generational. I have both Neptune and Uranus conjunct my sun in 3rd house while Pluto is in my first house in Scorpio.
