I know the heat and sun suck down south but you don’t know how blessed you are to be working in a car that is not rusted to crap like the rest of us up north!
I am thankful everyday for my rust free vehicles! I’ll take the heat all day long over them.
I'm ultra jealous of those no rust California cars!! 😂😂
I am thankful every day!
Thank you for demonstrating the most efficient method for replacing a lower control arm.🎉
Thank you so much for watching and commenting I really appreciate it!
I respect your skills, ethics and heart Sir. Great job being a decent human!
Thank you so much for watching and commenting I really appreciate it!
GOOD JOB!... You need one of those mini folding pop up tents from Costco to be in the shade
Thank you! How have I not heard of this!
@@QualityMobileAutomotive POP-UP TENTS home depot
And a fan. They have decent sized ac/18V battery fans at Home Depot. Ryobi.
And a portable shop fan...
Imagine doing this in south Mississippi. Pop up tents only work well if the sun is at the right position. Down here I’m soaked in sweat within 15 minutes. I try and work as early as possible but being a mobile mechanic you take what you can get. It’s a hard job not being inside a shop with a fan. I have all the respect in the world for this guy because I live it everyday.
This fella is "Scotty Approved." Fine man, fine mechanic.
Thank you!
@@QualityMobileAutomotive You are quite welcome. If only you lived in Mn.
Ole Scotty would be proud🎉
watching you i could feel the sun beating down! i know that feeling all too well! thank GOD that mission went smooth compared to some! Excellent job!
Thank you so much for watching and commenting I really appreciate it!
I love to watch an artist at work.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting I really appreciate it!
I like how you put a tarp down to keep the area clean, other people wouldn't do that.
Thank you!
You: "That was pretty simple."
Me: "That's easy for you to say." 😂
Now I know the difference between a control arm and a tie rod. (And that guy needs new tires!)
Another good job!
Tires he's got another 10k left😂😂😂
🤣
Thank you! I appreciate it!
It's amazing how much BS some shops tell you. I feel bad for the people who fall for it.
Right! It’s crazy
Just subscribed .. I fellow tech in the San Bernardino-east L.A county area.. man o man.. I know the feeling working under the sun!.. Wishing the best !.. success in your endeavors ..
You make everything look soo easy ! LOL 😂 & your fast ! Great job !

I appreciate the pipe wrench tip!
Any tips or tricks that I can share I definitely will!
I haven't seen you placing wheel chocks before starting to work on a vehicle, please do. Thank you for your videos and everything that you do. I work on my own cars but I'm getting older and eventually I'll have to call someone else to work on my vehicles. Stay safe.
On most vehicles I do. Some I set the parking brake like this one. Thank you for watching and commenting!
I'm enjoying the life of a mobile mechanic, I find the jobs very interesting, great work, keep the videos coming 👍
Thank you for watching and commenting I really appreciate it!
Probably a 4+ hour job in upstate New York. Everything is rusted together 😢
Thank you so much for watching and commenting I really appreciate it!
Pretty cool to hear you were just working at a dealer months ago. Got a good thing going man keep up the hard work and the good videos 💪
I'm ready to make the jump myself but I'm in the Midwest and don't have great weather year around unfortunately
Thank you I appreciate that!
Another fine quality job :)
Thank you so much for watching and commenting I really appreciate it!
For boots, I work part time as an EMT and part time as a mobile motorcycle mechanic. For EMS I bought the nike Army contract boots at Ross when the specs were updated and they are Super comfortable and are worn down after 3 years of both jobs but they're still going strong.
Thank you I might have to try some on!
Good job...and that's a very busy sky out that way.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting I really appreciate it!
You need a pop up canopy. Our construction electricians use them. It makes a big difference.
I’m definitely looking into those smaller canopies
I use one, it works great to keep the sun or light rain off. Just as long as it's not too windy.
Nice work🤙especially in that sun, you can get stainless steel cable ties that are good for the rack boots , when changing inner and outer tie rods it’s easier to measure the total length from rack to joint as some pattern parts are different lengths so counting turns is no good
Thank you! Counting turns just gets them close for alignment. Measuring the total length takes more time which is not efficient. Either way it is getting an alignment.
Zip ties work just fine
For the Tierod I count the threads and measure with my tape measure awesome content and enjoy watching
Thank you so much for watching and commenting I really appreciate it!
I need a tool truck like you got. I’ve been working out of a minivan and it’s a pain trying to keep it organized.
It definitely helps store more tools and keep them organized. I pulled this truck out of a field for $500
High end dealers and mechanic shops charge outrageous amounts of of hard earned money to perform basic repairs. The shop I was taking my 2011 Land Rover HSC 5.0 to, was getting $147.00 dollars per hour, and it wasn't even a Land Rover dealer. I now have a 1990 Dodge D150 two wheel drive truck, and do most of the maintenance myself, and what I can't do I have my in town mechanics work on my truck for far less money than anyone else around me. I like your attitude and the way you talk to your customers. Treat people right, and you have repeat customers ever time, plus word of mouth recommendations of your work from your customers, generates a volume business. I hope your business prospers my friend, keep up the great work and you have earned a subscription from me! 👍👍

lol, you didn’t torque any suspension bolts but you’re worried about the torque spec police on lug nuts. Lol😂😂😂😂 love the videos

You have my utmost respect for working onsite the way you do... Amazing ... I'd have to be really focused to be half as efficient working in my temperature controlled garage... great job.
Thank you so much! And Thank you so much for watching and commenting I really appreciate it!
Buy yourself Skechers they are great shoes lightweight at meijer's grocery store and be the best place to go usually
I like to use those stainless steel zip ties if I’m not using a bellows clamp like you’re supposed to.
I’ll have to give those a shot
Grab one of those battery powered Milwaukee fans. They helped me out many a time.
I have one I just forget it sometimes.
Love watching ur videos since i do the same, and if you go harbor freight, try to get knee pads and u find them on the garden isle, take care of those knee man!
Thank you! I grabbed some but they are a bit too bulky. I’m looking at other options
Dude's got racing slicks on the front of his car...
Great for drag racing!
it would take me 2 hrs to get it jacked and remove the wheels, then i need a 3 hr nap, dinner and a cup of joe.
Thank you for watching and commenting!
Great job! I've used zip ties on inner tie rod boots in the past. I used to wear Rothco Vietnam Jungle boots for years. They are light weight and the laces never wore out or broke. Just add some gel insoles.
Thank you!
Just found your channel tonight - great work, thanks for givin me some confidence to tackle this job myself.

Looks like a fun job
Thankfully a simple job for once. Lately it’s been one thing after another.
Hytest boots are super comfortable. Keep up the great work
I’ll check them out! Thank you!
I get my boots and sneakers from walmart and so far i never had a shoe lace brake randomly and iv been wearing that kind for 15+ years
I wear the tread safe shoes from Walmart with memory foam to help prevent slipping but I wear through them in 2-3 months
@@QualityMobileAutomotive idk if walmart still does it but if u go thru a pair every month they will replace them free cause they have a 30 day warranty so if u wanted to drag ur feet abit here and there to get holes and new shoes every month lol or u can get momery foams to put into a better set of boots i use to walk a ton so went thru them kinda fast but if u get a set of boots around 20 or so bucks and put the foams in them i find they last abit longer
I didn't notice any video of tightening the two control arm mounting bolts, which can only be done when the weight of the vehicle is resting normal ride height on the ground.
Otherwise the bushings will be torqued up improperly.
I'm only mentioning it because I didn't see it done nor did I hear mention
I wear Redwing slip on boots when I’m working and they’re light, comfortable, keep your shins and ankles from getting bit, and no laces to break. Cost some extra bucks but they last for years.
I will check them out thank you!
Another awesome job! God bless.

Great work as always.

Hi yes you are doing a good job but you need a pair of knee pads to protect your knees also you can get arm sleeves to protect your arms from accidental damage or scrapes on your arms. You may be saving time now but you will pay for it later in life for not taking simple safety precautions.
I’ve been testing different knee pads and haven’t found any I like yet. Thanks for watching!
You are awesome sir!!

Merrell for work boots and shoes. 550 paracord for laces.
Thank you I’ll look into those! I’ll be ordering 550 for tomorrow

that kind of work for long young man.

Red wings they are a little pricey but light and comfortable…

Well, as far as the special tools go, in most instances you can do without them by using a more basic method (such as the pipe wrench here), but sometimes you have to have the right tools. When I was doing the inner tie rods on my Focus, the pipe wrench just wouldn’t fit. There was just no room to get it to latch on, let alone turning it. So, as painstaking as it was to use the special tool, I had to do it that way.
I definitely agree. Sometimes you do need the right tools
I just saw the safety jack. Good mam also good job.
Thank you!
You should get one of those scissor shelters the news crews use in the rain for a sun/rain shelter
I’m looking into them! Thank you!
Awesome 👏🏻

Hi , good to see ya again . Did control arms , inner and outer tie rods plus sway bar on my Buick century . Had to order the sway bar . Never worked on a nissan . My sons pt cruiser the ac quit . The cars rad fan intermittently runs . But does not run when the ac is turned on . Ac gas is normal , but was low . Think the sensor might be bad for the water . But guage says normal . Any way , some shops try to charge customers high Amts . I don’t know if any mobile guys like you where I live in south western pa . Auto zone is ok , I also use Napa and advance , plus buy online . God bless as usual .
Thank you and god bless my friend!
work boots suck less u get Whites or Nicks, but u'll pay and they're not light. i try to stick with waxed strings, they seem to be lil tougher. thanks for the video bro.
Thank you!
Timberland boots are Great! I've had mine for 3 years and the soles are great and they're comfortable! $130-$200.
I’ll have to try them on! Thank you!
Hooe you can find someone with your same values and vision!
Thank you me too!

can we get a shop truck tool tour
Coming soon!
Thanks! Why do shops tell customers they need something like a sub frame when they don't. I finally found a good shop in my area. You said Passat TDI, had one of those long time ago, 650 miles per tank.
@ilovecheeseburgers7462 Thank you very much!! We appreciate your support for the channel and with your generosity we will continue to be able to help others! The other shop was just trying to pull a fast one on a customer who they thought wouldn’t get a second opinion. The VW Passat was a pain to work on. I have a CZcams short showing what failed in the turbo. My customer said it drives better than ever. Again thank you!
I have some Sketchers with Velcro laces. "Old man" shoes but love them.
I love those shoes!
good job man
Thank you so much for watching and commenting I really appreciate it!
Try using some whiteout to mark the position of the tierod end, it may help.
If I was going to just change the outer tie rod that would work excellent
@@QualityMobileAutomotive good point i didnt consider you changing the inner also
I wear Gri-Tec boots, they're supposed to be hiking boots but they do very well for work....aaaand they're absolutely comfy!!!!
I will definitely look into them!
@@QualityMobileAutomotive Bro,I know the struggle.....I spend 9 hours in those shoes everyday, they better be comfy cause I've got some toes badly hurt(which makes it impossible to wear steeltoe shoes, even if I should) in the past and they tend to remind me how stupid it is to run dirt bikes in flipflops(I was young and stupid then😒).......
@@QualityMobileAutomotive also try to find Ortholite insoles, they are great additions to a good pair of working shoes.
Was looking at your views. One has 500k another 400k this channel gon be up UP before year ends.

Try hiking boots? They are light and comfortable…
Thank you!
try the brunt work boots! the fab rat guys use it a lot and they say that they are comfortables.
I’ve heard good things from them and I seen that on fab rats. Those guys are honest. Thank you!
Wolverine boots.... With dura shock....I wore them for years in the shop and I welded custom exhaust and everything get the pull on no strings involved.....
Thank you I’ll look into those!
Used 550 cord in all your work shoes or boots. Won’t break and oil resistant. It’s parachute cord . Even Wallmart sells it in camping section
100% what I was about to say. Regardless of the brand of shoes or boots, relace them with 550 paracord. Make sure you get the USA made 550. You'll never have a lace break again.
@@jasonrtfm3471 absolutely the U.S. made is 7 strands it’s the only one rated to 550lb break strength
That is in my Walmart order for tomorrow! Thank you!

The more expensive inner tie rods come with the metal 5 cent crimp clamp, the cheaper one comes with the 3 cent tie strap
I had the worst time just trying to get all these parts. It took 3 days to get them all and I had to go to 3 different parts stores.
Maybe put a Portable parasol on your truck for jobs like this.
Definitely looking into it!

I have one I just forget it a lot. I did use it today!
Redwing boots are the best 👌🏽
I’m going to check them out soon thank you!
Must be nice, joints not rusted together, did upper and lowers on nissan xterra Ohio everything was rusted had to cut nuts and bolts off
It is very nice! I’ve worked on a few vehicles from the rust belt. They aren’t fun
Good job sir . It's that possible just replace the bushing on the control arms ?
Thank you! I don’t think they sell them separately
You'd think Nissan would have engineered flats on that shaft to wrench from instead of a new tool.
Almost all of them do have flat parts but you typically can’t get a wrench on them. The big tool I was talking about is able to grab them. I’ll show it in the service truck tour video in a few weeks.
I would always suggest to the customer to get an alignment done after replacing the inner and outer tie rods.
YES BUT DID YOUV SEE HIS HAIR ? WHY BOTHER
@@davidkettell1073 What are you talking about?
I always do too they are getting it done with the tires right away.
I wear timberland pros they aren't light but I have wore them for years for $150 boot I think it's about the best in my opinion. They aren't Redwings or some fancy comfy boot but they also aren't $500 and they last about a year and a half 2 years daily work mechanic labor etc etc.
I’ll look into them! Thank you for sharing!
I like slip on shoes and I did like the Merrils. But the side wore out of one of them fairly quickly. Now, believe it or not, Hey Dudes have replaced them. I do like them.
I've had several pairs of hey dudes, and they don't last any time at all with me. The last pair I had wore completely through the sole in about 40 days. I'm not hard on shoes; I have sneakers that are 3 years old and are fine.
Saw some Hey Dude-style shoes at Walmart for 20 bucks, bought a pair, and they are just as comfortable and outlast hey dudes by a long way. Just a thought.
I’ll look into them! Thank you!
