This is literally the tutorial I was looking for 😁 did a 2 layer butterfly cut on my hair a few months ago and now that's it's grown out, I want to do it again but with a third layer. Again, exactly what I was looking for, thanks!!
Great concept, however, the ends are too thin and see through for my likening.
Just don't do the thinning cuts he does. He does the point cutting, which you probably do want so that it doesn't look "homemade." But then he also does these thinning cuts down the sides of the pony tails. Those will give it that sparse appearance you don't prefer.
They're also really easy to mess up and end up with a patch cut out of your layer 😢

Looks way way way too thin on the ends...who would want ends like this?? This is why I cut my own hair...they always make my hair go from thick and healthy to thin and fried looking
I agreed. That is why I started to cut my own hair years ago. Every hairdresser cut into the hair with layers and leave the ends so thin that you can see through it. I keep my ends blunt and put a few face framing layers in and a little long internal layering in the back
