Newer Varials sounds so much like early chimaira once they released their debut album “Pass Out Of Existence” back in 2001 when chimaira were first nu metal I say that cause this song has the same kind of instrumentals and growling you wouldn’t see from any other band besides chimaira which I really like and not many people except nu metal fans would be familiar with a original subgenre chimaira made called nu-metalcore where they fused metalcore elements into nu metal I’m glad varials is reviving nu metal again the genre never got a chance to become as big as it’s getting right now which makes me proud of varials for the hard work they put into making their music its always nice when you see a band try something new to evolve instead of hearing what they make in general

@@chrisg-ll-gher I don't agree. Pain Again sounds more like Kublai Khan or Knocked Loose (hardcore bands) than any metalcore I've ever heard. Had more basslines and slower riffs. But we can have different opinions. No reason to start genre arguments 😂

@@chrisg-ll-gher It isn't a bad thing. Love metalcore. But Knocked Loose (and everyone else for that matter) regard themselves as hardcore. Interviewers too. It's in their social media tags, they're on hate5six, it's in Wikipedia. They've been literally described as the band that revived hardcore. They aren't metalcore. As for Kublai Khan, I know less about them and you're right, they self describe as metalcore. But still some sites call them akin to 90's metallic hardcore, like Hatebreed. But my opinion still stands. Varials' sound, even if it is metalcore, leaned heavily toward the hardcore side of things in their older stuff, and now it sounds different.
