Sorry I commented twice I did think it came out
I got a new 1985 Safari 377 for Christmas when I was in 10th grade. It was a quick fun sled that even channeled the heat from the engine to a vent under the windshield. It was a good place to warm the hands. It got cold up in Northern Maine...
Nice One! cheers Maine 🍻
They were a great old sled.i had one years ago and it was reliable. Alawys started and never had to fix it really.picking up another one tomarrow. 😊great videos i really enjoy them.thanks and cheers
thank you! 🍻
Old sleds never die! Those 377 were and stilll are a very popular sled for it's light weight and a bit more speed then a 340! I had 2 of them and wish I still had them! Dam covid cranked the price of vintage sleds through the roof.
Michigan appreciates your content
Awesome vid
A guy has the exact same sled but a 1986 447 i used to have a 80 377 citation. But blew the motor cause the oil pump fell off. We rebuilt it then sold it. Keep up the work bud

Awesome old school stuff, with a little jamming and a good sense of humor to boot.🍺👍🏻those sleds always seem to run better with a few cans under the hood...lol
Awesome video!!
Keep’em coming Pete! Love watching your vids. Your pretty hilarious bro!
brings back memories. My first sled was an 87 Safari 377. I was born in 91 lol
Hey Pete I heard you mention loosing the straws off you cans of brake Kleenex or lube. What we do at our shop is when you set up a new can put some silicone around the straw and cap. The next day it’s good to go and you will never loose it. Love your videos by the way.
Your friend Marc (Bossman) Lalonde.
You’ve got nice place there Pete . Really enjoy the sled videos. Cheers from Saskatchewan.
I owned a 79 polaris 440. My friend had a 92 Safari. Our neighbor owned 2 1993 models. Eventually made one. Then done lol. Those sleds had no suspension. Not powder queens. Ice fishing, beer hauling buggies.
My favourite old sled, Rode a 377 many many times late at night. Was a great field sled.
This is the first video i've seen from you, and you made me smile already.. Peace from the cold part of Norway and you got a new subscriber :)
thanks 🍻
Quick tip.,or secret to you Flex seal will fix those rubber boots to.& right stuff works to its rubber in A spray can. Try flex seal out. The price could be cheaper.,or close to that right stuff. Either product will works on those. Even black silicone works good to for rubber boot repairs. The WD-40,or kroil oil works good as A moisture.& water displacer in fuel tanks it helps clean carbon out of cylinders.& exhausts systems to. Good luck. 2 thumbs ☝ up.
lovin your know how on the various videos and sleds. if we were chillin, we'd spend a good while just talking about wrenching.. you're an awesome handy man! much love from AK!
thanks 🍻
Love the old sleds , you have a nice property there
1985, best year around in this fellas opinion 🥳
First sled I ever rode was my dads 87 Safari. Still have it! She's mint! Good to see there's still some around.
I got one from my dad thing runs mint 86 tho
Man love your channel 🤣🤘🏻🤘🏻
As a child growing up we had a 377 safari and a citation they were an absolute blast wish we still had them around.
I fixed a pair of Danner boots with RightStuff. That stuff is amazing!!
they named it right!! lol 🤣🍻
Keep on wrenching.& be safe doing what you do.
LOVE THE BEER RACK MOST IMPORTANT PART 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
You are a hoot!
haha thanks! 🍻
Yea the singin......dont be givin up yer day job eh. Lots a fun Pete, keep em comin. 😜🍻🇨🇦
Keep on wrenchin' and ridin' and filmin', the season seems to keep getting shorter. I like watching wrenching, I had 2 70's era skidoos that I had to figure out how keep running top notch. And my buddies dad had a Safari so I put a few miles on one of them.
That safari is a straight flashback to bush banging with buddies at 16 years old. Had the same one but in mystic black 😂
Hey Pete that's A safari ski too snow sled.,or AKA snowmobile.
Sound pretty good Pete. When I sing dogs are howling wife says do that 10 or 12 miles away from here LoL 😜. Another great video have a good day....
Go lean Go lean Go lean Go Lean hah , thanks for the laugh 😂
haha you're welcome 🍻
Great vids Pete Hope to see you working on an 88 Wildcat. One of my favourites. Cheers
thank you! cheers 🍻
Try leak seal spray can for the outside of those boots...
Well that was sweet, what ya did Fer that old sled. I'm an old guy (70) and my nieghbor rents ice shantys out for spearing pike. He's got an ice boat for crossing the channel. 18 foot aluminum hull w/ a Lycoming airplane motor pushing it across the ice. Once across the channel he uses a 1968 single cylinder johnson sled to pull the fisherman to the the shantys. And he's got a spare sled of the same vintage Fer parts 😜. And he still axes the holes thru the ice. Old school 🚸.
Let me help out makes us feel better seeing you read are comments. Keep it up.ill watch
thanks 🍻
Enjoy the content I love 🍺and sleds,ps I have the same articat coat also the leather bibs, keep brapppin
all of the old sleds are bringing back good memories bud. keep up the great vids man and dont worry i kept drinking beers until your singing tune straightened out lol. Cheers from Newfoundland brother!
Great channel
thank you! 🍻
This is my style😎
What a great video Pete, made my day! Took me me back to my early 70's Ski Doo experiences in Restoule. Great song by the way and the two four rack is priceless! Best sled videos on YT keep it going!!!
thanks 🍻
Nice job you fixed it up good it runs really good and the steering is way better
thx "3 pump Pete" :) :) great video!
10.99 carb boot, great video as well, keep them coming!
Ya....love da Molson rack eh? Love the old sleds.. been out of it for awhile. Sold our skeds when we left Mt. and moved back to Minnesota. I gotta find a fixer-upper!
You're welcome for all the views.... I send a lot of your vids to my buddys. Now... I'll expect a discount when I bring my 1100 turbos to you for some "tweaks" 🤣🤣🤣🤣... And I'll bring the bud lights. Hahaha.
There dude. I just subscribed
My brother's citation ss had the 377 dual carbs...was pretty fast with it being so light
I love this stuff. It is what I do to
My first sled was a 90 safari 377. My buddies called it the super tanker because I could ride all day and have plenty of fuel left. Sold many gallons of fuel. Kept for 3 years and since ride Polaris. 95 Arctic Cat 580 zr for a spare. Love your channel. Yakima Washington
thank you! cheers Yakima Washington 🍻
Ever notice how the tracks fail on those machines fail. Usually the edge of the track gives out. If you mount a third wheel (even a fourth) in the center on the rear axel the tension is spread out over the width of the track rather than just the edges. I did it on a 85 250 citation and a 89 Tundra. Works like a charm
Just stumbled on your channel last week and I’m lovin it! Keep it up bud🍻
Best Chanel on CZcams
Without a doubt the greatest snow mobile video on CZcams!!!! Dedicated subscriber for life!!! Looking forward to bingeing your channel, you seem like a great mechanic, is there anything you can do to bring some snow??? Lol... On a side note me buddy Shawn is nicknamed the rubber boot bandit
haha that's awesome!! I really appreciate that man and all the support on the channel! cheers 🍻 and on a side note...we got a fella round here called Jonny Green Boots! lmao 🤣🍻
I own 6 safaris imo one of the best older sleds ever made they haven't been tuned in 8 years and they all start and run like new
Great vid, I worked on a pile of these at a dealership from 1981 to 1990. The same engine was in the 4500 citations, that 377 engine model was a pretty good engine. I do need to just mention that the date on the side of the tunnel is the build date, May 1985, but the model year is a 1986 377 safari. The 1985 model had a black hood and was built in 1984. Like cars and such.
thanks! 🍻
Loved your video’s till you were singing lol just kidding!!! Video’s are great
Love the 377s fawkn sweet man
Hello from Sweden 🇸🇪😊
Love your videos, keep it up 👌
Love the channel glad I came across it.
Carefully with the royal distributing carb boots. Bought a pair for my old arctic cat and they leaked.
you did a great job bro
P.S. You are the man!! The only thing I enjoy more than fixing up old sleds, is watching you fix up old sleds!
My 85 safari same thing happened to me last week the ski flipped around backwards made it a sketchy ride getting back
Enjoy your channel! I snowmobiled from the early '70's through the early 2000's. My last 2 sleds were a snowcross 2001 Arctic Cat SnoPro 440 with a tunnel heat exchanger added for trail riding and a snowcross SkiDoo MXZX modded with low compression power domes, oil pump and tank and 10 gal tank for trail use. They were the ultimate trail selds at that time. Not the fastest across the lake left 'em in dust in the twisties. Keep up the good work ... wobble pops!!!! Love it!
3 pump Pete lol 😂
Love them 377
Enjoy the videos! I have the same welder, bought it about 7 years ago and it’s been trouble free.
You are my kind of people! Just subscribed
Yea no pricing in the royal catalogue is annoying, I just pull it up on their website. Usually has pricing on there 👍
Can you do a series on your snowblower units?
