Ive worn this hoodie/jacket and the previous 2.0 version for the past year and its a great jacket. Ive gone to sporting stores to compare with what they have in stock and this is just as good as whats there and at a better price (plus way more pockets). Also the sale price is really the regular price as ive never seen it go higher then the "on sale" discounted price. After a year it has held up very well and is just as good as when i bought it. Nothing on this has started showing any wear.

Nevermind the new pockets or whatever, the fit of the 3.0 is way better to the 2.0. The 2.0 was so baggie that I figured i should have bought a Medium instead of a Large. I decided to get a 3.0 and was going to get a Medium this time. The sizing chart clearly puts me in a size Large. I trusted the chart and got another Large. Perfect fit! Not as baggy, arms are a better lenght and the hood is almost a normal size, just slightly oversize.

I guess it all depends on requirements. For activities such as hiking, this fleece isn’t well suited. It’s much too big and heavy for an active/midlayer. A fleece isn’t a primary insulator thus works in a layering system. A hiker would need a MUCH lighter fleece.
For casual use such a travel the fleece is perfectly well suited.
Honestly in layering the fleece/midlayer should be the cheapest layer.
You all are the lucky ones. I placed my order 3 weeks ago and haven't even received any shipping info yet. I've sent 6 emails just looking for an update and exactly zero responses from the company. My experience is this is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. It's not that I needed the coat immediately but I expect my emails to at least be acknowledged and let me know that they are behind, or there was a mix up or something but so far it has been crickets. Zero stars.

@@lkillercaml9945 thank you for reminding me. The jacket did finally show up after 6 weeks. I stand by my criticism of the customer service because I still haven't heard from Baerskin Tactical themselves. However, the jacket is really really good. I got the waterproof version and it's great in the rain. It's really warm and I wore it this weekend in 20 degree temps with snow wearing a light sweatshirt underneath and I was plenty warm. It's seems so far to be a quality product with bad customer support...unless you're a CZcamsr.
I have version 2 and I'm annoyed that new one has interior zip pockets cos I want those! I have only had it a year so maybe I'll wait for version 4. I also have to fold up the wrists as it's too long for my arms. I'm not sure the 3 would fold well.

There was some weird static in the background, so had to cover it up with music. Trust me, the static would have been way worse.

the retail price is crazy, but the discount (which is always the price) is a decent price for the jacket. Ive worn version 2.0 for a full year and this one is just better in every way.. I wear it ALL the time. And if you dont like it, thats fine but actually use one before commenting. My guess is that you dont actually own one and somehow think that you are able to comment based on zero use or actual knowledge of the jacket.

I got mine from the black friday. The $400+ price is utter marketing rubbish. This is not worth that price. But for $139...I can dig that. I do like mine so much so i got the wife one for christmas..For $119 delivered after that other $20 discount. Shame on this company trying to claim its a $400+ hoodie. Make it $150.. Then knock it down to $119 or so, then it's more believable. $400+ is pure marketing scam.
