- She is one very lucky girl. First time in Australia, Lisa and her Father are on a prospecting holiday trip from Germany. We met them at Agate Creek, Queensland looking for agates and offered to show them around the Topaz field in Mt. Surprise, Queensland.

A 154 Carat Lemon yellow Topaz on eBay is selling right now for $9.78.... I guess it depends on demand, but I still think it is very exciting its all about the hunt and finding beautiful rocks and gem stones = A FANTASTIC DAY
Topaz - It’s such an underrated gem - 8 on the Moh’s scale and Fair to Good on the wear and tear scale.
154 carat topaz on eBay for 9.78 is probably lab grown I would think!
Maybe natural it’s 9.78 per carat

Incredible find. I have hopes of finding my hen egg one day! I have a few of 50 carats flawless. I fossick in Stanthorpe qld. Same deal my best spot is at an old tin mine and some of my best stones have been top picked off the sand dredges.

I'm afraid your googling is a bit off. Search eBay for Australian rough topaz. That thing is worth more like 200-300 AUD, if it's free from defects and facetable. Still a great find though, good for her!
Rej Poirier - lol - I just seen $80 a carat and did the math... lol so I guess a job at the bank is out of the question 😂
I found just rough quarts it’s a transparent milk colour wich is everywhere. However several pieces I found have very small blue crystals they can only be seen with a magnifying glass but something I’m keen to learn what they are ? But in Southern WA. WOW WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF TOPAS. 😊
Blue quartz is called Celestite. Not sure if that's what you have. May I suggest taking it to a Lapidary Groups or Club in your area. They'd might have a better idea of what it is. Cheers🥰

Hi Liz - love your videos. We have been fossicking in harts range for 5 weeks. We have some nice stones. Any tips on where i can find a good Australian gem cutter, I can’t seem to find anyone?
Try getting in touch with Lapidary and Gem clubs in your area or near you. They always have someone or know of someone who will cut gems for a fee. Good luck.

Can you tell me if there's people who I can go on digging trips with please, I need to do it but not just me. I'm to scared.
You can join a Lapidary or Gem CLUB in your area. Most of them have field trips that you can go with like minded people. Some places also have fossicking tours that you pay to take you or Tag along trips. Just have to do a bit of research on the online.

pure tin pipe used for the old time soda fountain, dad said to take it to buckmans metal recycle. they quoted me one price , then suddenly cut the price in half, I wish I would have checked the tin market price, ouch, dummy-yeah, "Tony misread the prices", oh ok?
I own a 484 carat tri-colour topaz from Pakistan. It has orange, pink and white colouring.

As a rough not much. Maybe a couple of hundred dollars but if cut properly and if it turned out well, I would not part with it for less than a thousand bucks. Cheers, Liz

Are the any gold found in that area, and is topaz considered a heavy, meaning it will fall to the bedrock
We've never found gold from this area but never really look for them and Topaz tends to go into the lower gravel say compared to quartz. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Liz

Hi. Liz. I'm having a problem with my dremel rotary tool, the installing of the accessory part itself will not stay in place when it's turning, if i turn it to 5 speed, the diamond Blade will fly right off and becoming a deadly spinning blade helicopter, it's got me on my Neck right on a jugular vein, thankfully it didn't cut me, it just Bounced off, so I'm very Lucky I didn't bleed at all.
Hi Nicholas, Depends on what model of dremel rotary tool you have but most of them have a button on the body of the unit that you press down as you tighten the end where the accessory or bit is. I hope this helps. Cheers, Liz
