- A thesis statement is one or more sentence that expresses the main idea /arguments/stance of an essay.
Objective: To summarize the whole essay in the form of plans or stance. It also connects the introduction with coming paragraphs.
Location: Ideally it appears at the end of the introduction and at the start of the conclusion.
Length: A thesis statement focuses your ideas into one or two sentences. It should present the topic of your paper and also make a comment about your position in relation to the topic. Your thesis statement should tell your reader what the paper is about and also help guide your writing and keep your argument focused.
Types: It has two types: Faulty, Ordinary, and Extraordinary.

I was in his academy, I have recorded his voice I easily guess even after 2 years.

I m preparing for IAS and read so many books and attend few workshop on essay but couldn't grasp it fully. In IAS we are asked to write two essays in 3 hours and both belong to different type - argumentative and descriptive. First time i learn that every essay does not require stance. Sir you have explained it in very simple way. Can you upload a lecture on conclusion as i m unable to make difference between introduction and conclusion?
