You asked for it so here it is: A complete node breakdown of the metro shot from When Pigs Fly. In this video I go over every node and what is it doing in the composite. Hopefully, with this complete walkthru, you'll get some new knowledge of how I use Fusion to create exciting images, and maybe get some ideas of your own!

Whohooooo!!! Thank you Casey. Please make it a regular one. Love the breakdowns and your vibe❤️
YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!! Thank you Casey! been looking forward to this video!
Thank you Casey! Learned a lot!
Slowly becoming the new Videocopilot! :D Loving it, great Content and many little amazing tidbits of knowledge even for more advanced users.
This was awesome, so much info here! Thank you!
Nice. Had no idea Saver and Loader even existed. I always put off using Magic mask because of rendering times when I'm doing already intensive stuff. Also didn't know about connecting a transform to a simple tracker.
Oh yeah! This was a really good, practical breakdown if the steps involved, live these kind of overviews of the process: just enough detail to get a good idea of what’s going on without too much focus on super specific details, thanks :)
Thanks for putting this up dude. much appreciated.
Very cool and informative! Thanks
Thank you Casey.
Gracias! He aprendido a utilizar DaVinci Resolve gracias a ti. Keep the good work 🎉
1000% loved this, more please!
also loving your spotify journal entries thing, very motivating!
Thank you! That's awesome you're listening!
I love IT! 🤩
Thank you Casey :)
Nice!
Nodes are straight gangsta.
U r awesome ❤
NODES ARE GANGSTA
Thanks for the video! But I really didn't understand why you put the nodes into linear color space just to revert it back in the end.
Hi Casey , can you show how can we make animation independent of the time of the clip . Like longer clips will will have slower animation and shorter same clip would have shorter animation length
3:48 casey, what do you mean you don't have a stabilize in the tracker?
if you select "match move" and than "BG only" you can have it stabilized with 'position' , 'rotation' and 'scaling'
Oh haha yeah I didn't think about that!
Wow
Is there a reason why you use the color space transform and not the aces transform node?
Glad you stopped using toast 😁. But this was great, your really advancing with Fusion and helping us along the way.
Hey Casey - firstly - amazing video thank you! I think I learned more about fusion in this one video than I have in like 2 years.
I have a quick question - at 16:46 in the video, on the explosion element, I can see a split halfway through the dust cloud on the right hand side. It seems to align with the mountains in the far far BG.
It's only there for a moment of course, but I'm wondering if this is part of the element or a part of the workflow?
I checked the element - it's part of it. Wow. Interesting coincidence!
Hi Casey. This is a long shot question. Do you or Daria have much pull with requesting updates etc from Blackmagic Design with Davinci. What is bugging me and a lot of DJI drone flyers or Pocket 3 users that grade Dlog and DlogM is the fact there is no Camera Profiles for Dlog or Dlog M so we can get the proper input color space to work in Davinci Color Management or node based CST so we can grade in the wider Davinci Wide Gammut. Just wondering if Black magic would get this much needed Camera profiles? Don’t know if I’ve asked this the right way or what you can find out about this buddy. Seems like the Dlog in Davinci is more for Higher end professional drones like inspire series etc. so cut a long story short is it something you can find out for the Mavic 3 Pro Dlog Dlog M or Pocket 3 Dlog M etc.
how do you transcode to 1080? im already lost on the first step
I wish there was a video that helps people make sense of multicam. I went to the Davinci forum and nobody knew how to help several people that were having the same issue. Perhaps Casey can come to the rescue. I use action cameras to record in the cockpit when Im flying and cant get the multicam feature to work. My cameras divide the recordings into 3.9 gig files that are separated. Using multi cam works fine on the first two 3.9 gig segments, but none of the other segments. I have tried creating a new timeline and a new compound clip, but I cant create a multicam using those for whatever reason. Casey, if you can help, please do, none of the forums, including the Davinci forum has been able to solve this problem, if anyone knows, its you. Can you make a video on multicam that involves having to use files that are segmented apart by the camera? I know everyone seems to have the same problem and no answers.
I already got lost at minute 1:23 10adp-HR-HQ-444-EchoCharly-R2D2-Bravo-C3P0... thing...
Hi Casey. Is it me or there is something missing in the workflow? 😬I cant find the loader node. Is there a chance you can make a video about the saver and loader nodes? Is it better than cashe to disk? Thanks and keep up
Shift-spacebar and search loader.
It's nice because it's basically a cache you have more control over and more reliable too. It doesn't get deleted if you change something.
@@CaseyFaris Thanks. When exporting do we need to connect the original node or we can export using the loader? Thanks for your time.
I am playing with DaVinci, but I am an old dummy. I am impressed, but I hardly understand sh...t how you done it 😆
It seems like the DaVinci resolve does not have a good lut for DJI mini 3 Pro.
👍
Most likely a great video but you lost me around minute 6 😅
Still too hard to follow for me 😔
Hi Casey,
Could you do a video on how to do the map animation in this video czcams.com/video/fh-r9KYx064/video.html at the 06:28 mark?
I've been trying to create animations like this but have no idea how and then I saw this video. I know how to do the travel animation on a map, but I have no idea how he made the map to begin with, and even less how he made it fold and everything.
Much appreciated.
Thanks!
We will add your request to our tutorial suggestion box. Thanks!
@@CaseyFaris You're awesome! Thanks
