Today starts our Galapagos adventure with Royal Galapagos! We were picked up at our hotel in Quito and then flew Avianca to the first beautiful island of Santa Cruz. We boarded our ship, The Natural Paradise, and settled into our lovely room! First we had a delicious lunch, then we sailed to Dragon Hill, did some snorkeling, then went on a hike and saw huge iguanas! It was a fantastic first day!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started traveling full-time January 10, 2016. While daily vlogging was not the original plan, we were having way too many cool experiences not to share every single day! Now travel vlogging is our full-time gig and we feel like we have the greatest job in the world! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Ha ha. We had almost the same experience there, except for our boat capsized and sank a half a year later in the middle of the night - anti luxury Galapagos. Superb experience, though.

Lol yeah seems like a cool trip but for 7000 that’s a bit much for what there doing.. also for that price the boat should have scuba diving rather than snorkeling
And it doesn't even include alcoholic beverages. Yes, scuba diving should be a must.
It’s probably a good thing it’s so expensive. Galapagos islands are extremely protected and need to be preserved.

When you guys get tired of all this, let us know! My husband and I did a fair amount of overseas traveling early in our marriage.. Now we are almost empty nester's. I still have the same wanderlust I did at 25 but my health ( at 53) is somewhat limiting. I love living vicariously off of your adventures!!!

Well in December 2015 I was where you are now. It's like being in a interactive zoo. I enjoyed myself completely. I hope you did too. I know you are already in the Amazon where I've been as well. I left from Iquitos Peru. I hope that journey is also wonderful. I discovered you researching my Lisbon trip which was lovely. I continue to watch you either see things I've seen or do things I wish to do in the future.

I got to spend 5 weeks in the Galapagos last summer shooting video for one of the cruise lines there. You did a beautiful job of capturing it. Looking forward to seeing your footage from the other islands.

Rodger R. In order to go to Galapagos Island you have to take a tour there's no other way and no cheap way. Furthermore I want to thank Kara and Nate for all their wonderful videos they're very educational. In the fact that you apologize for the mishaps in your travel is welcoming because it is better then watching a regular Rudy Maxa and Rick Steves videos that everything goes right. your travels are real life and are expected to have bumps. I feel that you haven't traveled unless you have any bumps they're the ones that makeup for your stories and enhance your travels.
sorry but that's just wrong. Ive lived on 2 islands of the Galapagos for over a year, my husband was born and grew up there.
you can very easily go on a island based trip, take daily tours from there or just do free activities. inbetween island there are boats or planes.
however a cruise is more exciting- you'll see so much more and go to the REALLY untouched places.

We're super glad we found your Galapagos videos before we went earlier this year. Loved watching them all (twice actually)! In fact, my wife is hooked on your channel! :D We've just put up the final part of our vlog series if you feel like revisiting (well, through someone else's eyes lol). Thank you for giving us inspiration, and for pre-warning us what Giant Tortoises sound like when, erm, Netflix and chillin. It's actually quite loud and squishy in real life! Ew.
