The intro sounds like something out of a liquid drum n' bass track. Very original and dynamic drop too. Overall great track.

Mindblowing sound design
Ive heard of death metal having a buzzsaw sound, but this is the first time I can legit say that perfectly describes a dubstep song. The contrast between the heavy and the melodic is perfect, too! A nice kick in the ass just right at a time when I was getting a bit bored with dubstep.

I'm a bit late to replying to this, and it's technically electro-house rather than dubstep (although it's basically dubstep at 128 BPM), but you should absolutely check out "Mantis - Creepshow" if you don't know it. It's basically a musical buzzsaw / angle grinder.
No, it’s just a lot of distortion and it’s feedback. Typically overdrive(a sound effect,) let’s it sound like there’s a buzz saw in the background and a compressor can mute it.
I made something similar to the bass. Didn’t think of it being a buzz saw though as I forgot what a buzz saw was 😂 I just messed around with serum and it sounded cool I guess. Anyways this tune is the one I play most from Effin. Love the drums on this too
@@loobkoob Thanks for the recommendation. I generally hate trying to simplify genres down to a single quantifier like BPM. In every other sense, it's dubstep, and in any other music community, there wouldn't be much debate about whether it's part of the genre or not, with how it sounds. It's this ability to precisely control everything in the sound that seems to have given people in the edm a very warped sense of what music and groups of music can and cannot be. I do recognize that it's a slower bpm than the typical 140, though. It's close enough, imo. Close enough for UKF, too, it seems. I tend to agree with that perspective.
Looking forward to more music of this guy! This tune has some nice Ivy Lab inspiration imo...
