Aldeia da Cuada - Ilha das Flores - Açores

Chama-se Aldeia da Cuada, fica localizada na Ilha das Flores, e é um lugar à medida do isolamento da ilha. Sem pressa, deixe-se envolver pelo som dos pássaros e pela fragrância da erva fresca e dos loureiros com o perfume adocicado da cana roca. Neste mundo onde a paisagem embriaga, a tranquilidade é companheira fiel.
Abandonada nos anos 60 quando os seus habitantes emigraram para a América, a Aldeia foi recuperada por Teotónia e Carlos Silva que sabiamente estabeleceram a ligação entre passado e presente, recuperando a traça rural das casas de pedra e adaptando-as às actuais necessidades.
A Aldeia da Cuada faz parte da freguesia da Fajã Grande. Criada em 1676, já era habitada seguramente no inicio de Setecentos. O documento mais antigo que foi possível encontrar foi o registo paroquial de um casamento com a data de 8 de Novembro de 1705.

Aldeia da Cuada is part of the parish of Fajã Grande. Built in 1676, it was already safely inhabited in the early 17th century. The oldest document that could be found was the parish register of a marriage dated November 8, 1705.
