- This is my reaction/review for 'A Love To Kill For' by Chamber. As you can tell from this being my old setup, I have had this recorded for a little while and needed to get it edited/sorted and here we are. Excellent album, ass kicker. What do you think? 👏🏼 Big fans of Chamber!
oh shit, the legends themselves. taste!
Chamber put the world on notice with this album.
Chamber is such a slept-on band. This shit rips. It's heavy, mathy, grindy, chuggy, melodic, chaotic, and has A LOT of really interesting influences at play. Been my AOTY since it came out
This album has been on repeat front to back for me since it dropped.
Oh good god that riff in retribution is naaaaaaaaasty yo. Jesus.
LETS GOOOOOO so happy you checked this out. One of the most underrated bands on the scene period. Nashville undefeated.
I love how this record subverts expectations by slowing things down on the penultimate track but then absolutely blows the doors off on Hopeless Portrait. It’s easily their fastest, most crushing track yet.
Really glad that you were able to check this album out. I missed the singles so I wasn't really anticipating this, and it managed to sneak up on me as a top 5 AOTY contender. It's almost like a mathier take on the sound Vein fm achieved with Errorzone. The drum composition, bass production, and album flow/pacing were standout elements for me.
This has been said in other comments, but I'd highly recommend the new Soulkeeper album if you enjoyed this. Besides being criminally slept on, it has one of, if not THE coolest album visualizers I've ever seen on CZcams.
Hope you're treating yourself with patience and grace after the recent loss in the family. Wishing you all the best~
oh wow, that's a great comparison with Errorzone that I wouldn't have made but makes sense to me. Thanks for dropping a comment and your kindness ❤️
Soul keepers album sounds a lot like this. The guitar work and production is nuts on both albums
Never heard this band before and wow they are fire 🔥. Great reaction vid. Keep up the great work.
thank you very much for taking the time to check it out and drop a comment, very much appreciated ❤️
Devoured 🔥
This is SO jesus piece vocals/guitar meets mouth for war talking vocals meets knocked loose guitar flourishes

Overall I think it was a bit too chaotic for me but it was still a really fun listening experience and reaction to watch. It wasn't all chaos so there were plenty of sections I did enjoy, especially those slower, chuggier riffs. Loved those high vocals even if they didn't feature too much.
Favourite track I can confidently say was "When Deliverance Comes". One Final Sacrifice would probably be next! Will need to check Devourment out again in full because I loved that ending a lot as well!
Not going to make my top 10 but still glad I checked this out!
