I bet that system to stop the anomaly is a big FAN of the series. Just in case 🤣

weaponized hyperspace entry perfectly fits that universe and it's a refreshingly new concept.

Agreed. And it does make for a few interesting interactions later on in the campaign... plus a few really memorable cutscenes later on. (In my opinion, at least)

I really enjoy the idea that the highest form of evolution is to be a spaceship.

I kinda hope they make "Salvaging" ships more like Original Homeworld, did love stealing ships from the enemy... wasn't Challenging, but it was fun 😂

Using the Resource Controllers to capture enemy ships in this game is a risky operation, in my opinion. Taking a whole resourcing operation offline to capture an enemy is a high-risk operation.
Now the Incarnate Capture Corvettes? Those things are the ultimate evolution of the Salvage Corvette, and I laughed out loud the first time I realized I accidentally ended up on the "receiving end" of the old HW1 "Capture Everything" maneuver. :P

I do like Homeworld, but 60 is a very steep price for a game like this and for what it is. Space was and will never be a hardware or development "expensive" game, the lgoc for the AI already existed in previous Homeworld games which means the only really new stuff are the assets, which in part are already developed because its Hiigaran ships on the player side.
As much as I love the franchise, I don't think its worth the money. Wikipedia says about 40 people worked on the game. That stands in contrast to games that get made by studios with hundreds of people and cost that much.
Might pick it up when it goes on sale eventually.
