When I was younger I used to be obsessed with watching ride POV's and shows from Disney parks and Universal parks. This was one of my favorite shows to watch back then and I recently decided to come back and watch it again after years of not watching it. Feels crazy how much of the moments and lyrics came back to me as the show progressed haha
Was telling my wife about this show and how weird it sounded (I never actually saw it live). We decided to watch, and low and behold the boat captain is a friend of mine 😂
I'm so glad that Expedition Extinct video came out about this show, I would have never known about it otherwise. With a couple different uh, choices, it probably would have worked during HHN.
Would love to see them update it, but this time hire the guy who wrote the songs for Beetlejuice the musical. Or maybe just make an entire full fledged musical for Broadway with that. Would be pretty cool.

I didn't like the Creature from the Black Lagoon costume. He looked like he had dreadlocks. Show would have been much better had they made the costume exactly like the original.
the costume dosent really bother me that much, although i probably would remove the Dreadlocks and give him bigger fins and teeth, but yeah i can see what you mean, would have been hell to do choreographed dancing in the actual creature suit though...
This; and Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue; better be the last time Universal makes a musical based on a monster. It does no justice to turn some of Hollywood's greatest and scariest monsters into clowns and nonthreatening stage performers.

Literally none of this stayed faithful to the original movie. They studied the creature for science, not money. And there wasn't much overt sexuality.
