Made in Japan
@R D como laPuedo buscar en español Dios mío
always remember, not every axis soldier was evil and not every allied soldier was good.
Every allied soldier was good. Because they fought for good. We have no time for those who sleep under the blanket of freedom provided and then questions the manner in which it was provided.
@Moko Koco an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. You evil fucker
I dunno after reading about the rape of nanking all I can say is I hope every Japanese solider from the war goes to hell or some form of hell and knows nothing but agony.
It's quite obvious today that the real evil won WWII
Years ago, I had the privilege of working with the Japanese Navy. They were the friendliest people I had ever worked with. Their ships were so clean that you were afraid to walk on it's deck because it looked wet and slippery. They were cleaner then any American ship I have been on. When they left, they gave me a small bottle of Saki and a small Japanese flag. LOL I remember sitting in their galley watching lethal Weapon 1 in Japanese with their cook who was a boxer as well.
Was this ww2? I assume not
@hahahaha and China is actively genociding people right now. Japan was wrong for what it did in WW2, but at least we aren't doing it actively right tf now
@Japanadian Japan still hasn't apologized for what it did to China and the rest of the region during world war 2. No sympathy for these people what so ever.
Yet they still haven't apologized for their war crimes during world war 2. Y'all so desperately want to virtue signal
@Taternater 74 no it is due to their mentality if they had the same number of ships as USA it would be the same

‘War does not determine who’s right, but who is left’
Empirical evidence would say otherwise
Naw we whooped Japanese ass with a righteous revenge
@draunt7 America was literally built off of hate and hard labor, whites killed native Americans in the past and colonized America, they also kidnapped west Africans and used them as slaves in America, they created racist laws that only benefit themselves but don’t benefit Blacks, Asians and Latinos. And there’s more. But to sum it up in a nutshell that’s the reason why white Americans hate people of colour , because they want people of colour to stay beneath them. They do what they do Because they think are the Policemen of the World! Their fricking government thinks it can go anywhere and force their democracy on whomever they want. But you notice this: they don't fuck with Russia, North Korea or China or any country that can nuke their ass. They stay away from them.
Yup. Its why evil has managed to win and take over the planet. All the morally righteous people got killed off by evil people. Just look at how the US got colonized, genocided the indigenous, and then destroyed the land for profit.
That reminds me of the BFG
I'll never forget the story of the failed kamikaze strike on the USS Missouri.Setsuo Ishino, from Okayama Prefecture was enlisted to the Japanese Air force at the age of 19 through mandatory service. He was drafted. On the day he left his parents wept because they knew it would be the last time they saw him alive. He was taught how to fly a plane, and given the order to fly it into a US battleship. He knew he would either die dishonorable as a traitor, or die by his own hands. He completed his mission, his cockpit strewn onto the deck of the USS Missouri. His body was salvaged from the wreckage. The soldiers onboard the Missouri gave him an honorable burial at the order of Captain William M. Callaghan. They sewed together a Japanese flag to drape over his body, and played Taps as his body was cast nto the Ocean forever.Later the pictures taken were shown to his loved ones, who again wept. They were deeply grateful that their son was shown so much respect by his enemies, but heartbroken that none was shown from their countrymen. War is hell. Nobody asks for it. Nobody wants it, but when people are thrown into the meat grinder you have to remember. They are just soldiers following orders. I know it's Hollywood, but sometimes the most compassionate thing is to reduce suffering, not prolong it.
The dent from that attack is still visible to this day.
Dang that’s a great story
The captain understood that he was just a young boy, forced to die for nothing by his country. And he respected the young man's bravery for still doing it despite knowing it would probably lead nowhere but hiss death.
@Magnolia Mo same my friend same
Hawkeye: War isn’t Hell. War is war, and Hell is Hell. And of the two, war is a lot worse.Father Mulcahy: How do you figure that, Hawkeye?Hawkeye: Easy, Father. Tell me, who goes to Hell?Father Mulcahy: Um, sinners, I believe.Hawkeye: Exactly. There are no innocent bystanders in Hell, but war is chock full of them - little kids, cripples, old ladies. In fact, except for a few of the brass, almost everybody involved is an innocent bystander.

Wait do I have I son?
I heard this from someone else but they said Band of Brothers is about the brotherhood of war, The Pacific is about the horrors of war. And Generation Kill is about the futility of war.
@Henk Schrader He specifically said *Generation Kill*
@Maybe Baby oh well thx I'll look into it...
@Henk Schrader No, Generation Kill is a book by Evan Wright during the second invasion of Iraq. He was embedded with Recon Marines. There's also a HBO series, I'd highly recommended it!
@Donar Thiazi different shows, very, very similar meaning. Even more depressing because a story about human in the 40’s is almost the same as it was in ‘03.
@Henk Schrader Lotta people said same thing
“Grief changes shape, but it never ends.” - Keanu reeves
damn that's a good one
That’s a lie. Why are Hollywood actors treated like reputable life coaches with their own book of useless proverbs?
He can definitely speak about grief
This reminded me of a German officer who laid his life down to save an allied soldier form the landmines (himself got blown up), truly unfortunate this guy didn't get the same empathy or compassion in these horrible times of torture and painful deaths had got to many, by many hands of the allies and the axis.
"War is where the young and stupid are tricked by the old and bitter into killing each other." - Niko Bellic
The Christmas truce of the battle of 1914 Could have ended the war after both sides partied together shared smokes / food an probably booze but both sides ended up walking back to their trenches/ fighting positions to battle the next day…. yeah see you later , it was nice meeting you was more like yeah I had fun while it lasted kill you later 🤣sheesh…
Rip niko bellic
Stalin ignored and made friends with surrounding enemies and then get attacked and blame the soldiers who surrendered and executed by NKVD AT YOUR SERVICE
Respect for the Japanese soldiers. They were true warriors and their devotion showed it.

"War is fun for those who have not experienced it"-Some Call if duty cutscene
This hits different.... this makes anyone watching feel evil and ill..
@Mark Spits absolutely! I will kill and destroy the enemy... War has no face, war has no God damn feelings... Lost my feelings a long time ago.
@Car Fanatic I don't blame the German soldiers. It is unfortunate for them that they were forced to fight for Hitler, but there's no stopping Hitler without going through the German army. That doesn't un-justify the war.
@Arbidarb Not all German soldiers fighting in WW1 and WW2 were bad. Many were forced to join otherwise Hitler would kill them and their families. If you want to blame someone for wars blame the government not the civilians who were forced to go to war.
@Mark Spits because its how nature works. not all life matters, only the most important ones. everyone is just trying to survive with their own ways (some good ways and some bad). in nature its called a natural selection, it tries to leave only the best of the species. But don't worry, only the good side will survive. We all participate in a war directly or indirectly, because war still happens. War is not right, but its also not wrong, its a process all life forms must go through. If only the good survives then no war will ever happen. that's why we need war right now, to eliminate the bad.
@rogelio armendariz no its not
A true Soldier does fight not because he hates what’s in front of him, but because he loves what’s behind him.- gk Chester
@S W yeah that's true!
@Tyler Nielsen may have used up to many of the good quotes early on and now have problems finding them.
@The knight with the n-word pass they’re not neighbors, they’re other Germans.
@Schizo Poster Doesnt answer my question.Germany invaded many neighbors,if anything the allies were very lenient
@The knight with the n-word pass foreign LOL
There were very few enemy soldiers who deserved such treatment. The German versions were easier to spot thanks to the Totenkoph insignia. The only German troops issued such insignia were Death Camp personnel. For the Japanese, it'd be harder to tell if someone was a regular recruit, or a war crime participant (like a participant in the Nanking Massacre).
Достойный сын своего народа... Слава героям !
It's unfortunate. It was a different time. Hard to imagine as every Japanese serviceman I have worked with has been incredible soldiers and people. Let us remain allies indefinitely
You think this isn't literally still going on as we speak?
In war, brutality and cruelty beyond convention are executed by those who do not respect nor honor humanity nor it's delicate condition. This is particularly true in wars against enemy combatants who do not hold to nor adopt "western" wartime codes of conduct and conventions, but are rather driven in their efforts to exterminate all people of other races and religions. This scene seems cruel in how it is drawn out, allied soldiers torturing the Japanese soldier, something strictly forbidden by military code, today. What this scene does not depict is the brutal and gruesome cruelty exerted on the Chinese and any other foreign people on their soil and in their paths by the Japanese in their quest for racial purity...falling in line with the other two members of the axis...ironically not of the same race. The utter despair this Japanese soldier shows here is just how war can be both personal and inhumane.
I love how after he mercy kills him a soldier says “hey, what did y’a do that for” as if he just broke his toy
@Augustus Sol [Ina's 10th apostle of the twelve] its war dude. We all did shit we aint proud of, but at the end of the day we all turn to dust so it is what it is. People can think how they want. Unless you were there then you'd never understand. And if you were there and have a stronger sense of empathy, good for you. Guarantee the others wont lose any sleep over it.
@hardwire why should we even pick a side in that matter? Why should the US continue to be the world's 911 force ? We have more than enough reason to spend that money here helping our citizens. The bidens have ties to Ukraine money. Why are we sending them more ? Lime laundering it.
@Jane yeah that was our bad but jesus we were helping them fight the russians and then they repaid us with hate (us not the gov thats my problem with them)
@hardwire or how the us taught the Taliban how to use guns 💀💀
@World Man what does this have to do with just killing a man? A single man making him suffer will do nothing but rot your integrity as a person maybe infront of many living people but a single man in a river of corpses? You best not lose your humanity for something like that you only bring yourself down the only thing you save by making a single person suffer is the finances of the big wigs every bullet counts a few bucks in the pocket
'The Pacific'I loved this series and this scene is one of the ones that hurts the most to watch every time
Remember, Not every Soldier fighting on the other side is bad because most probably are forced into this, and Not every Soldier fighting for your side is a good person either. The Allies only made it seem that way. As a wise man once said, “History is written by the Victors.” I think Battlefield V’s story mode also provides us with some more context on this: “Not everything True is written…and Everything written is true”
The rules of war, also known as international humanitarian law: Protect those who are not fighting, such as civilians, medical personnel or aid workers. PROTECT THOSE WHO ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO FIGHT, LIKE AN INJURED SOLDIER OR A PRISONER[The Japanese man was going to be considered as a Prisoner of war because there was a sign of him wanting to surrender]. and Prohibit targeting civilians.I guess the people who decided to write such a script didn’t know what the Rules Of War are.
Its not a script for this series as far as I know. The scenes are taken directly from people who were there.
See the reason I like these movies/Series is they represent a factual representation of what war actually is. Drafted into a war to be killed in action by cruelty.
"If you can't respect your enemy, you will lose in more ways than one"
@PAPER yes but you have to kill him not tortured him shoot him in the head not the painful organ
@Stoven Berg he was saying in Japanese. “Shoot me!” “Kill me!”. Doesn’t sound like surrender to me
@PAPER yes he is he rise his hand
@Stoven Berg it wasn’t a war crime. He didn’t expressly surrender. If anything he wanted them to shoot him.
@Tanazio López how about the time they canabalized George Bush Sr fighter squadron when they was shot down
We dont have to forget that all of us, doesnt matter in which part or group are have an evil side and is our duty to control it. Never forget that the other side of the "field" its not an enemy that you can demoniza and humiliate, is a human and as a human you have to respect him doesnt matter how much you hate him.
one of my great uncles was a japanese conscript in the war, many soldiers of the empire were forcefully brought to fight from Okinawa, Korea, Taiwan and other regions of the empire. But I suppose the enemy only sees "yellow monkeys" as they said back then.
Muito boa essa série, tem que ver a continuação tbm recomendo "BROTHERS IN ARMS"
"there is one thing you lose when you start a war, and that is your self-respect"-Idk who
You have to remember that during the Vietnam war the vietnamese leaders didn’t care how many people they lost and drafted regular civilians so that guy was probably a normal person until he was yanked from his family and had everything taken away from him so he just wanted to die
To those who are wondering if this was scripted . It was . The way “War” is played out is unknown because every second another unbelievable morbid event takes place followed by another . This clip make “war” appear silly. Although there is some humanity in the opposing straggler giving in and the guys having fun because yes this has happened more than anyone who’s been there wants to count .
There was no need to fire multiple shots at him just to inflict the most pain...if you're gonna kill someone just do it once--one and done. Torturing a person who has already lost is not admirable. It's against everything we are supposed to stand for. Both sides always receive casualties in a war. It's never any given soldier's fault for what happens in those moments, and everyone there on the battlefield is fighting for flag, for country, for their own survival. Revenge and resentment is corrosive...and it is part of our humanity to show mercy, even to those we must kill to defend ourselves.
“Every war is a lost” - some random history teacher probably
civilians lose in any war - my teacher of history
In war, the most compassionate thing that can be done is to end all suffering as quickly and as painlessly as possible. You’re not fight monsters… you’re fighting men.
Remember watching this when I was 7. Talked about it with my grandpa and a ww2 veteran who was in the pacific said it was brutal bloody and lacked humanity like this.
It is sad to see that last japanese guy: the brutality of the war will never stop as the war progress. Even after the war stop, the brutality will still continue and will be remember as a history.
What you have here is a war crime. Any reasonable person could see that he was disarmed and able to be captured. Furthermore, everyone - except the Marine who fired the last shot - were clearly aiming to harm not to kill, could be considered a form of torture
"True courage is about knowing not when to take a life, but when to spare one." By Gandalf
@Michael Peck but at that point he wasn't a threat either
If I remember correctly, in these scenes, they didn't shoot all the bodies to make sure they were dead and a Japanese soldier pretending to be dead detonated a grenade, killing 2 American Joes
That's why I suck at Squad. Because I'd rather block the "enemies" way to their target than killing them
@Black Houdini They did the right thing , just in a stupid way. They could have easily injured or even broken his arm/trigger finger , thus rendering him mostly useless.
@LetDeathDraco and gandalf the white, every single power ranger, benito mussolini and the blue meanie, doc oc, the rock and hulk hogan!
Respect to that warrior who defends his home from invaders
I heard how many Japanese during WW2 didn't believe in surrender, and were told to commit suicide instead. Truly a powerful and sad scene here.🥺😥
That Japanese solider was brave, He faced them off knowing that he would die in honor to his empire.
Just wondering how you can look at another human being that you completely has no grievance for and shoot them dead? Especially in this kind of situation?
My late uncle was a US Army infantryman with the 96th Division in the Battle of Okinawa. He experienced brutal fighting and his company took heavy casualties. He would not talk about the fighting to his family, and after the war only told my dad about one harrowing incident. One day my uncle's company was carefully advancing through tall grass and he stepped on something that felt spongy, he later recalled. In an instant, an explosion knocked him backwards off his feet, and he was splattered with blood and tissue. At first, his fellow GIs thought he was wounded, but soon discovered he was not. He had apparently stepped on a hidden, covered Japanese foxhole, and the soldier inside exploded a grenade under his head. As to why my uncle was not wounded, the GIs figured the Japanese soldier's helmet deflected the blast enough so it did not wound my uncle. Also, the narrow dirt walls of the foxhole likely helped contain the shrapnel that would have spread outwards. By the way, my uncle knew where the guy placed the grenade because his head was blown apart. My uncle was lucky that day and was one of the fortunate few in his company who were not wounded or killed in the weeks-long battle.
@Texasflood is your username based off the SRV song?
@Jeff Holmström how can he with America when he can barely manage with Ukraine? N Ukraine getting funded by USA,I don't think he wanna wake up a sleeping giant
God bless your uncle
Oh holy hell, first time I've heard of anyone else from the 96th infantry division. My grandfather was part of it as well, and lost his entire team in an ambush in a rice paddy. He tried to crawl away with his CO by tucking his feet under his armpits and dragging him out slow. Grass moved, and his CO was shot in the head mere feet from him. Only reason he got out is because someone else heard the fire, and fired an m1919 from his hip and told him to run. My grandfather was 18 when he enlisted. He was basically blind in his left eye and memorized what the guy in front of him listed for the eye chart in yhe vision test. He CHEATED to get sent to hell. What's even worse, is the record of the 96th division was burned when the records building holding it caught fire well after the war. Never gonna hear all the stories, about all those brave men. Fuck.
I don't believe every soldier on the enemy side was against us. Plenty of stories of enemies helping the opposite side. I felt sorry for that guy.
A guerra sempre representa o pior do ser humano. Essa série é muito boa, se chama Pacífico.
The lack of empathy by the marines in this scene is completely understandable once u put it into the greater context of the sorta crap they've seen and been through
those those who don't speak Japanese he's yelling "Shoot me!" as he knows his life is already over, and just wants it to end.
"Always shoot at the head, your going to be thankful when they do the same for you" I don't remember who say it
Why so you can miss your shot, "aim center mass and hit your target, you'll be thankful you got them before they got you"
~John F Kennedy~*its a joke 7 _7*
Always aim for center of mass. That way you'll actually land your hit.
The best soldier of Japan, never surender till the end of his life. That’s the name of war, no one fault of every decision they made.
If youve never been a marine that has run out of ammo in this field, let me tell you this hurts to watch, so much wasted ammo.
Me personally as a veteran if I seen the guys doing this I would have just out the enemy out his misery . We are supposed to be warriors man of honor not brutes . MMC USN Retired.
He fought for the emperor and he Gave his life just to defend his homeland an family
"At the end he was just a soldier. Hoping he'd done the right thing." -Master Chief
@shk mlp The rocky horror picture show
@Kyle Fam video games BAD.
@Ghost I think it's really good.
@Kyle Fam people quote books
"He was just a soldier blindly following orders" - Some legend
To quote the TF2 sniper: That man wasn't a sniper, he was a sadist. A real sniper doesn't waste time with torture or talk. He just takes the shot.
The whole lot of em could be charged with war crimes right there. That was straight up torture & murder. That wasn't heroic, or noble, or justified. They just wanted to torture him & see him suffer before he died. The fact that this is all based on a true story makes me very angry at these soldiers portrayed in this film & any American officer who looks at this & cheers em on doesn't deserve to serve. This was truly disgraceful behavior.
In the end, they 🇺🇲 still lost to 🇻🇳. No matter what you tell in the movies, the fact that you lost is still there. RIP to that soldier that still managed to yell at them despite losing the battle...You might slander me right now, but note that Vietnam is still standing. If they lost, you would've made them capitalist.
Meanwhile the true enemy is sitting in high castle having fresh lobster
@Robert Hastings what is there left to do at this point? You can teach people how to garden and that smoking dope is more fun and more safe than going to war but it doesn't seem to make a damn bit of difference
these people missed the entire point of the quote average American education
Vietnamese singal:"Dear afro-american soldiers, we do not wish to fight you, you were enslaved by the ones who sent you to fight their war, we were slaves and now we are free"
@Alphawave07 not even close to the same. You're kidding or...? Kings rule absolutely for most of their life and cannot be questioned. Presidents get 8 years tops and get questioned regularly. Monarchy and democracy are nothing alike.
@Ryan Moon they mean the wagers of the war. The men firing at each other do not have a grudge they didn't know eachother before that moment. How could they be enemies?
That soldier…Who killed him to end his pain his a hero.
Poupou ele da humilhação dos seus adversários.😔
Perfect depiction how war and stress it causes pulls worst emotions like cruelty from people who otherwise might be very solid and reliable and empathetic ones.
That scene cuts me up every time. I feel so much for that guy
“War does not determine who is right, only who is left.”
@Zachary Radford Um?… it’s just how war works?
And you know this how?
France was apart of the Allies and when the Allies liberated France they raped many French women, the most legendary is while liberating Paris at the same time the Allies where raping the French women in Paris. Really drives home the quote “with friends like these who needs enemy’s”.
@Cameron Sorensen the victors write history
@MichaelZath war is traumatising
"Respect your enemies even in war"
The Part Where He Throwed his helmet Got me laughing😂
The part where you wrote *throwed* got me laughing. You sick twisted person.
Idk if it’s good or bad that I can see both sides of this. The US was angry at the Japanese because they would intentionally and brutally torture and kill in some of the worst ways humanly possible. These soldiers were understandably angry and wanted vengeance for their fallen brothers in the line of duty due to the brutality of the Japanese war machine. However, I can see it from the Japanese side too. Many of them didn’t actually care about the Americans per se, they were victims of propaganda and Japanese patriotism to the point where suicide is more honorable than defeat. This man has lost everything it seems. He just lost his battle buddy, who could possibly be one of his friends as well, he hasn’t seen his family in ages probably, and now he knows he is going to die but the US is taking their time and humiliating him. I think the greatest act of mercy on the US army’s part was to kill him swiftly, because if he returned home he would likely be dishonored and tortured, and his family would likely would likely take a lot of flak for it as well. I think what we should learn from this though is war is ugly. Its brutal. There are no rights and wrongs in war, it’s all about survival and defending the person next to you, and when someone is put in that situation long enough it breaks them into something they weren’t before, but forever will be after. So when you see the chance to take out all your hatred, all your frustrations and and sadness, you do if only to feel like you got some measure of retribution for what you had to go through. I’m not saying that the Americans were in the right, nor am I saying the Japanese man was blameless, but what I’m saying is that war is the ugliest thing anyone could go through and it changes people. Like I said earlier, in war often the greatest mercy is not letting the other person live, it’s allowing them to die swiftly and honorably, but it doesn’t happen because of the brutality of it. That’s why it’s called mercy
Really feel bad for the Japanese soldier, he just wanted an end to what this cruel world tasked apon him.
This is the reason we have the Geneva Convention. Those men were our enemies, yet most of them were good men. To them, we were the enemy, yet most of us were also good men. The most important element in any war is the human element. Human beings fighting human beings.
That's an impressive shot for a pistol at that range, just gonna say. A kill shot, no less.Amazing series.
Damn... I haven't felt this miserably short because of a CZcams Short ever...
Most of the time you dont even see the guy shooting you so you wont know if they are blind or screwing with you-grandpa
Hi there, I am Japanese. This Japanese soldier said,Koi → Come onUttekoi → Shoot meKorose → Kill meThis Japanese soldier must have been tired of fighting, tired of everything, and wanted to die.
@Todd every side has done similar if not same things. Don’t act like it’s just all of them fucking gross
@Butercum Dribble III you have truly lost your mind
@Hakimi it's not our fault, We didn't want to fight. IJE dragged us into the war by bombing pearl harbor. Nuking them twice was fucked but Japan had it coming
@Glen A Whatever you little Glenny . Now go back down to your mommy's basement and play your video games .
You never play with your enemy. You kill him and move on.

"THE PACIFIC". ONE THE BEST MINI SERIES EVER CREATED
"A true war story is never moral. It does not instruct, nor encourage virtue, nor suggest models of proper human behavior, nor restrain men from doing the things men have always done. If a story seems moral, do not believe it. If at the end of a war story you feel uplifted, or if you feel that some small bit of rectitude has been salvaged from the larger waste, then you have been made the victim of a very old and terrible lie. There is no rectitude whatsoever. There is no virtue. As a first rule of thumb, therefore, you can tell a true war story by its absolute and uncompromising allegiance to obscenity and evil."
“War is when the old and bitter trick the young and stupid into killing each other.” - Niko Bellic
@Ed, Edd & Eddy you have no idea what you're talking about
@Jack Duane yeah two sides of old men sending the young to die
@Memple Bemple you should just be concerned with your own English. It's your English that is clearly suboptimal and my comment made perfect sense
@Memple Bemple I assume you mean moral, not morale. I'll respond to your first sentence and ignore your second because your second is drivel. While all wars inevitably have at least one actor acting immorally, it's easily possible for a decision to be made to go to war and for that decision to be perfectly moral. So your comment is wrong
@Jack Duane no such thing as a morale war. Anything morale can be talked down
"The true enemies were the ones we made along the way" ~ Robot Ghandi from the year 2134
The enemy is also human, for those of you that haven't seen combat.
This is why I love to see moments in war where opposing sides help each other because it's the right thing to do. As much as I hate Imperial Japan as a nation. I hate every single man in that military. Same with communist nations. I'm positive some soldier is fighting so his family doesn't starve. But actually holds no issues with us.
"I won't let anyone of my children join the army"My father(a colonel)
“War never changes.”
Pure example of the war crime…. He was supposed to be taken as prisoner, you can see he is unarmed
Killing an unarmed soldier is actually and lawfully called “murder”. To this day, it can still get u a sentence in prison, just the same as it would in the Second World War.~ Elliott Jarvis
Unfortunately people are bitter toward their enemies and if no one survived to hold them accountable then it's sadly many people got away with such behaviors.
@Tim is better than Doc two very different scenarios my guy, unless you're trolling idk how you could even compare it. One is lawfully following orders and presumably killing with honor, while the other is killing civilians unlawfully for kicks.
Yep, tell that to the prick general who was watching over the Rheinwiesenlager after ww2.He called them unarmed enemies instead of war prisoners, to circumvent the convention,... Like it would make a difference.
Then giving a serial killer a death sentence is murder
@Naoto uh oh..
I hope Our nations get revenge (iam german) revenge for Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Dresden
Thanks, but to be honest it's the translate button
"It's a rich man's war but it's the poor that fight the war". OTEP
Wold war l " say what "
Ah yes, global enslavement at the hands of possibly the two most racist and dictatorial state powers to ever exist. Rich man was bad for sending people to fight that. How about you think before applying some random quote about an entirely different war to the bloodiest conflict ever.
"When the rich wage war, it's the poor who die" Linkin Park
War is a racket.
Ww2 is one of the few instances where this quote does not apply. It was a fight for survival for many people and many countries. This is an amazing quote, use it in the right context
And that's a gentle approach compared to what the Japanese soldier would do to them if the roles were reversed. Not saying that this is cool but the Japanese were a whole chapter of evil and sheer wickedness of their own and the vast majority of them believed and still believe that they absolutely did nothing wrong and were totally justified and that's a notion that is still alive and well in Japan. They still have monuments praising figures like Tojo that are visited yearly and ceremonies performed in them. Imagine that happening in Munich for example.
Ik he’s the enemy but he’s still human and at the end of the day we all bleed red we all love hate and everyone will have to remember war is war but the soldiers are people like us all they want is to see there loves one again to see them grow up to see them to be happy in there life and they want to see how they grow up and change this world of ours with the good the bad and the ugly
I’ve been wanting to join military for at least 3 years now and it’s a scary thought I’m still thinking about it
Thx for the translation
"Kill your enemies but do not hate them."
"An enemy is someone who has a story you haven't heard of yet"
You tell that to my ancestors who were brutally murdered, raped, and beheaded with their bodies paraded along the street
Imagine fighting against ISIS. How can you not hate them? Not all enemies are same.
So be a psychopath?
Literally right before this : A Japanese blows himself and two American soldiers trying to HELP him Yeahhhhh you cant really expect them to not hate the Japanese (like the unit lost so many men from wounded Japanese suicide bombing they stopped taking prisoners)
War is true hell. No one knows how your going to react or feel especially if you have lost friends and or seeing them killed then add most fighters ages 16-24. We did some things and you don’t know how you’re going to respond until your in that moment. Our moment happened to be loosing our 22nd friend and fellow Sniper so we caught and killed the one’s responsible for Sgt Mark Bradley and we pissed on all their dead bodies. And got in a little bit of trouble but…..fuck em😂
there is no right or wrong sides in a war, all there is in it is bloodshed and facing the consequences that there leaders had made.
Japanese soldier : "Come on. Shoot me! Kill me! ...Shoot me"
This makes a terrifying spin on things. Scary but most likely true since war can bring the worst in us.
The man that finally took the man’s life probably understood that no one should suffer like that, his peers clearly didn’t care. That man has a heart that not many do not❤
"It is good that war is Hell, else we might like it too much."- General Robert E. Lee
@PUR3_Chad You're right, inflicting pain on others is not human, but what is war if it isn't human? Truth of the matter is it doesn't matter what his personal stance on current affairs are, all that matters is that he's Japanese and that he's a soldier.
@anopirsten That sort of interaction and enjoyment of inflicting pain is not human. These soldiers fought for the cause, they likely weren't even the ones involved in the dark sides to the Japanese. He was likely trying to earn money to help his family and support his child's upbringing. This movie shows the Darkside of everyone.
@Nathwork Saying you shouldn't give up humanity is easy but doing it is harder. You won't even notice when it happens to you. Have you read about how terrible the situations were on the Pacific front? I wouldn't be surprised if I lost my humanity on that battlefield.
@Moises Espinoza It doesn't matter, even though you have been in a battlefield, doesn't mean you should give up humanity and blindly follow hate
de la serie, el pacífico,..para el soldado japonés solo la muerte en combate puede llevarlo als gloria ..
How to know your phone is listening to you: when you are on episode 9 of The Pacific and YT shorts keep playing sceens from BoB, Pacific, and SPR. 🧐
