Well lots of differences here. Obviously, the S5 has a crop in 60p, but I would say that the video looks more detailed on the S5 overall. The Canon exposes better on automatic settings and the Ibis on the Canon looks much better than the S5, but it is stabilizing a smaller sensor. What about the colors? Was the light wash on the building blue or purple? Cool comparison. Could you do one where you match settings as close as possible? The S5 is often either overexposed or underexposed.

1:05 - there Panasonic crushes shadows, while Canon keeps palm leaves barely visible. I thought this is a problem of m43 Panasonic cameras, but now I see that it is not a small-matrix problem, but the bad color rendering algorithms which Panasonic implement in all their cameras :( Is there a Panasonic S5 setting that recovers shadows in video?
Okey, thank you for comparison! But i have a big gripe with this - Why you put everything automatic? Why not do proper Log? Because right now S5 looks like crap with super crashed shadows, oversaturated and 0 dynamic range, even though i know what that camera is capable of. + no information on iso, shutter or fstop makes this kinda pointless.. You could redo this properly, maybe even on tripod and with all the right info. Thank you.
