Thanks John, trying to make the best with what I've got to work with. The loft isn't too big, its 5x2m combined for stock and race birds. Lets see how the breeding season goes :)

I recently was given a Red Cock and and Silver Hen, which have some quality racing credentials, I have also put these together, with the hopes of adding more variety and quality into some of my Yellow Racers!

@@AdamArcherPigeons It was the yellow spreads for me that first piqued my interest. I remember seeing them for the first time as a much younger lad at Lier market in Belgium! Before then I didn't even know that these colours could happen! I insisted that I wasn't leaving the market until my Grand parent bought me this bird!!
As an adult now I am in a position to be able to understand far more about the birds!!

Did you construct it yourself or through a builder. Is the frame welded? Stainless steel? Mate it looks so good. Flooring is a sealed plywood? I can suggest pvc or mesh blinds for the openings stops the rain but still breaths!. I can help you with that.
I had a fabricator build the welded frame, then I put it together and clad the walls with colorbond. I build the floor, it is Yellowtongue sheeting on top of treated pine bearers and joists. Thanks mate.

Any tips on vertiliity? Currently I'm having issues with a 2017 pair, all 4 nests this year were clear/duds, no other pairs had this issue.
Try them with different partners to see which is the infertile one.
@@AdamArcherPigeons will do I have a plan to pair them in the coming days to 2019 partners. Hard to believe either bird would have this problem so young both are long distance performers which I bought in so disappointing. And really would make a super pair.

The loft is 5 metres by 2 metres, I'll make a more detailed video on the sections when I put the internal walls in.

No. A yellow hen would have to receive both the ash red and the dilute genes from her father, which cannot happen with this pair. That is why I need another generation to combine the genes.

North or East best.
North is best, followed by NE or East. Mine unfortunately faces south due to the layout of my yard, but I don't have much space so I've got to make do with what I have
Can you share the blueprints for this loft
It's 5x2 metres, the breeding sections are 1100mm wide and the flying sections are 1400.
I find it small, but I'm VERY limited for space here so it's currently all I can fit.
I want to see how you can make some fancy pigeon colors
I'll update my colour projects in the next few weeks

Noooo definitely not. Mesh floors are terrible for health. I'm happy to put the effort in for the good of my birds.

It grows mould and fungi, which get into the pigeons lungs. Terrible for health.

the metal will cause the lofts to be hotter than the exterior temperature, i think that the material used for the structure will cost issues
Like I said in the video, the internal walls will be lined and insulated. I also live in a mild climate, and my loft faces south so will be colder than if it faced the idea north.
