Among them is the Greater White-fronted Goose, a waterfowl species that calls these expansive wetlands home. A Cornell Lab expedition traveled deep into America's Arctic, one of the planet's few remaining wildernesses playing a pivotal role in safeguarding the survival of countless long-distance migratory birds. Recent actions by the Department of Interior have further highlighted the importance of this region by protecting 13 million acres of the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska. By safeguarding America's Arctic, we are not only preserving the homes of incredible wildlife but also ensuring the future of the region for generations to come. I photographed three of these geese in a bunch of Canada geese last winter in upstate South Carolina. They were here for about a month before leaving. I had never seen them before. It was a real treat to get time to photograph them over the month.

Don’t forget to put little tea light candles inside so they will shine through the cutouts! It looks so pretty and my granny said we light the candle to celebrate the bounty of the pumpkin and the light of creating something new. 😊🧡🧡🧡

I bet they are going to destroy this mavelous wild region for petrol or other humans greedy purpose ☹️. Beautifull special geese, never saw them 💗
