The difference between the Venom movies, and the other Sony Spider-Man movies without Spider-Man (Madame Web, Morbius, Kraven The Hunter, El Muerto, etc) is that Venom is the only one who has his series while the rest didn't, and well the Venom movies certainly aren't good they're at least better than "It's Morbin time" and "He Was in the Amazon With My Mom When She Was Researching Spiders Right Before She Died" (even though that's not a high bar at all because both Morbius and Madame Web make TASM 2 look like a masterpiece) because he has a series to draw on and has been a main character before, unlike the rest of the movies in Sony Spider-Man universe without Spooder-Man. Even though you were right in saying that any Venom origin should revolve around Spider-Man, because that's literally his origin in everything except for these movies, and you certainly don't have to be a purist (or even close to one) to wholeheartedly agree. I do think an appropriate course of action would be to start with a Venom movie that isn't a Venom origin movie and then eventually make a prequel to it where Venom becomes the Venom but it of course has Spider-Man in it. Furthermore, I love Kraven The Hunter and Kraven's Last Hunt is my favorite Spider-Man story of all time but Kraven wasn't written to carry his own story, and what mainly makes him interesting is his relationship with Peter Parker/Spider-Man where Kraven's such an incredible hunter he's hunted down every prey he's fought except for Spider-Man so he becomes fixated on him because he wants to defeat any prey he fights. Oh, and El Muerto has barely even been in any Spider-Man comics, and when this movie was greenlighted he was only in ONE SPIDER-MAN COMIC!!!
This is the same reason I don't think the Spider-Noir (which Nicholas Cage is in talks to reprise his role for) and Silk TV series are bad ideas because both were the main characters of their series before so it makes sense to give them their own story because they have been written to carry and have their own story before. I did leave a comment (that I still agree with) on your "Madame Web looks awful video" which you deleted where I claimed that Sony had the right idea with the Spider-Verse movies where they took a character in Miles Morales who has his solo series and gave him his movie because they couldn't make another movie with Peter Parker because their deal with Marvel and Disney but they could use him as a supporting character in another Spider-Man's story, and while I don't know the specifics of their Sony and Disney's deal I do know that it was a good idea and doing more things like that (while the MCU Spider-Man/Peter Parker movies are being made and I think the deal is that while those are being made Sony can't do a live-action reboot of Spider-Man Peter Parker) and they would be a whole lot better than Sony's Spider-Man universe without Spider-Man because almost anything would be better than Sony's Spider-Man universe with Spider-Man. In short, if you can't make another Peter Parker Spider-Man movie (and Sony needs to make at least one movie with any Spider-Man character in it every five years or the rights revert to Marvel) there are many better things to do than the Sony Spider-Man universe without Spider-Man. Also, a fun fact while quite a few people know the story of Sony selling the Spider-Man TV rights to Disney which tragically got Spectacular Spider-Man canceled, by TV rights the deal meant "less than 45-minute animated Spider-Man content" so Sony could still make Spider-Man TV shows but each episode needs to be over 45 minutes long, and live-action.
I would like to note that just in a month, Madame Web bombed at the box office, had horrible reviews, got made fun of at the Oscars (by the actor who plays Spider-Ham), Sony was fighting was Marvel and Disney on what to do with Spider-Man 4 and the entire internet liked Marvel and Disney's ideas (of making it street level and releasing in early 2026 so it's not rushed, instead of making it another multiverse movie and releasing it in 2025 as Sony want) much better and it looks like Marvel and Disney won that drama, Dakota Johnson and quite a few of the co-stars of Madame Web have been making fun of it since they were allowed to (even though Sony failed to get them in trouble), and Michael Keaton made fun of Morbius and stated that Sony had no idea that they were doing when they added him in the movie. What an amazing string of events for the Sony Spider-Man universe without Spider-Man that only proves that there are better ideas for films to do and Sony has just mishandled this entire thing. Finally, the mere chance that Sony is already moving on with an animated Venom movie just shows that not even they have any interest in this disaster that they've created. You know I've heard R/RaimiMemes use the meme "It can't be stopped. It's self-sustaining now." To describe to Sony Spider-Man universe without Spider-Man but if anything the bombing of Morbius and Madame Web and everything else I talked about shows it's only a matter of time until this all ends but the question is when and will it be replaced by good ideas (even though I wouldn't be surprised if Sony decides to scape all plans if Kraven and Venom 3 underperform).
Anyway, speaking of better ideas for Spider-Man films than Sony's Spider-Man universe without Spider-Man let's play a game called "Spider-Man films that are much better ideas than Sony's Spider Universe without Spider-Man, that wouldn't violate the deal between Marvel and Disney of no live-action reboot of Spider-Man/Peter Parker while the MCU Spider-Man are being made." How about I start you all off with all of the ideas that I and anyone else can come up with purely by reciting the ideas that are off the top of anyone's head: Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4, TASM 3, a Spider-Verse spin-off about any character in those movies especially Peter B. Parker since I'm a big fan of pretty much every version, and the idea of Spider-Dad, I'll make Spider-Man/Peter Parker win a victory over his true arch-nemesis: Marvel Editorial, and Jake Johnson's Peter B. Parker is my favorite character in those films, a film continuation of Spider-Man The Animated Series, Spider-Man The New Animated Series, or the Spectacular Spider-Man (because sadly the rule is that whenever you make one of the best Spider-Man shows it can't get a proper conclusion), Mr. Ditkovich the movie, Spider-Gwen, Agent/Anti-Venom (whether it be Eddie Brock or Flash Thompson), Mayday Parker/Spider-Girl (or any of Peter and MJ's other children in the comics), Ben Reilly, Kaine, Spider-UK, Spider-Punk, Spider-Ham, Peni Parker, Spider-Man J, Spider-Bitch, and Spider-Man 2099. If any of these ideas are your favorites or you have any more ideas please feel free to reply.
But even though Seth Rogen doesn't have a perfect track record he still made two of the best superhero shows and one of the best pieces of adult animation there is, and while he isn't infallible his track record is overall good, so I do think he is a good choice to write this.
On an unrelated note, what are your thoughts on the first few episodes of X-Men 97 that are currently on Disney+?

I hope Spider-Man will make an appearance here, and fight alongside Venom against Carnage.

Also TMNT Mutant Mayhem is 100% the best TMNT movie we have gotten in years.

It’s definitely one of the worst unfortunately

@SpiderGuy hey man, your opinion. But for me it is such a great TMNT movie, sure they could've done some aspects of the movie better. Master Splinter's backstory, final villain form, (Not to say Superfly was a bad villain but definetly could've handled his final form better.) April, etc. was still such a great movie, and a breath of fresh air compared to the other horrible TMNT movies we've got (looking at you, Bay.) I understand why some people don't like this but for me I really do and I am excited for the Venom film.
