It's been 4 months since I bought a Jeep Meridian 4*4 9-speed AT variant. The driving experience in city limits is ok, but as soon as you step on a highway, it will surely bring a smile. Those commenting on the car being underpowered haven't driven the car. Drive it, to experience it.

@@IA28IA The Meridian makes the same figures as the Compass. Will the Meridian struggle or is it overkill for the Compass? The added weight of the Meridian with the monocoque chassis would spell trouble in muddy areas even with AWD
@@beastofthehunt not really, if you come to think of it, it’s just 300kgs extra on an engine which is capable of delivering more. Plus Meridian had a couple of advantages for me, 1) Giving extra space and, 2) Driving quality. Meridian was smoother than Compass.

You'll have to live with rattling sounds inside the cabin. Sometimes it's the door sometimes it's the dashboard.
Telling you from my personal experience. I own a Meridian 4x4 Limited.
Yeah now customers accepting all these issues coz nothing else they can do. 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
I got the dashboard rattling noise fixed by Jeep. It's been 5 months and it hasn't returned, touchwood 😅

just considering to buy a meridian as a buy cause its costing me chaeaper like discount of around 2 lakhs on 2023 model 4x2 optional would it be a good choice or bad?
Yes it will be good choice not because of discount, product is good too.
Have you figured out how to get rid of speed warning chime ?
Meridian is well composed up to 180 kmph except for the annoying continuous chime
Didn’t found any solution for it.
I went to buy Meridian, after looking at the last row, I settled for Compass S.

Sir, why can't we compare jeep Meridian with XUV 700 or ScorpioN. XUV 700 would superpass Meridian like Breeze.
And, why is the company offering the same engine of Jeep Compass in Meridian. Same 170bhp and 350 nm torque. Meanwhile the XUV offer 420 nm of torque, better engine, better performance.
Sir, the Engine the most expensive part of any car, which can't be compensated by giving extra features. That's exactly the reason why people prefer fortuner than Meridian.

Tunning of gearbox & Engine is very different. How much power or torque your engine has is different from, how much & in what manner it actually reaches the wheels. Transmission losses & efficiency. Inital pull of meridian is as good if not better than compass.

That's exactly the reason why people prefer fortuner than Meridian. : Since you are talking engines, have you driven PETROL manual fortuner, maybe not. With 265 NM torque it gives brutal competition to 500 Nm torque, on paper things are diiferent, compared to reality, until the latest updated fortuner with 500 NM torque, petrol fortuner was at times able to beat all previous gen diesel fortuners. In India people do not know that, PETROL fortuner is a thing.

@@RajeNnSirRa Sir, due respect, in no way I am trying to undermine you or your knowledge, answer got under your reply, but my point is Meridian is far superior to fortuner, people do not understand that. Except for little more space in last row & slidable 2nd row, Meridian is near perfect. Also, engine can be tuned up to 420 NM torque, both manual & auto can handle that.

Bhai i own jeep compass sbse zindagi ka bad decision liya service cost too much high 5 th service is about 45000 rs and i drive it 75000 now there is problem in clutch plate and repair cost is about 80000 rs
This is the problem with every premium brands in india. Everything is good except their maintenance.

@@beastofthehunt meridian or xuv 700. I like scorpion N and safari too. But many peoples facing issues with safari and scorpio N have max body roll among them 4z

Both are D-segment SUVs. Both have 4*4 capabilities and both costs same.

Yes you should wait for adas i think. Meridian is complete without adas too but adas can be added within 6-8 months and after that may be you will regret. Yes price will increase too still i think you should wait for adas.

I think ADAS will not be added in Jeep. As I heard Jeep is against ADAS.
@@ajaykumarmadhvaraj may be but I don’t think they will not give adas as they are offering adas all over the world from last 2-3 years and they recently launched grand cherokee in india which also have adas.

@@Veer_tales Jeep says no new compass will come to india in future and Jeep haven’t launched any new vehicle from long and no future plans too. May be an EV will come in near future but can’t say anything.

What is the gear box ,?? DSG?..also auto brake in built??price??top end
Gear ⚙️ Box is from ZF 9 Speed Torque Converter and Price is around 43 lakh for Front wheel 🛞 Drive top end and if you go for 4*4 top end, that will cost around 45 lakh on road.
Why pay the extra when all this is there in the model S compass
Agree with you. You’ll get 2 more children seats💺 .. better suspension for sure. Slightly more premium interior.
Is this video of 4x2 meridian? He mentions fwd. Is it 4x2 varient? Or 4x4 being driven in fwd mode

My budget is able to fit 4x2. Am unable to fit 4x4 in my budget. Hence the question 🙄
@@bramanuja you will never going to feel like you should have chosen 4*4. Even 4*2 drive is super smooth and feels feather light to whenever cruising. You should definitely choose 4*2 over 4*4 as it is not needed even on moderate off roads 4*2 performs effortlessly.

Boot space ke baare me nahi bataya aapne. Is it worth storing bags for six to seven adults?
6-7 passengers ke sth travel krne pe ki problem hai boot space ka nd sabhi 7 seater vehicles k sth ye same issue hota hai. 5 log travel krte h to hi proper boot space mil pata hai.

7 seater mein boot space try karna hai, then use the overhead carrier. It comes with the functional roof rails.
Xuv700 l or Meridian plus
Both are good. I like Meridian more than XUV but can’t ignore xuv 700 coz of ADAS and 6-8 lakh difference.
Same problem for decision
The problem with Jeep is service. Worst service and manufacturing defects in India. I own model S. so Shame after I spend 36 lakhs this what I got.
1. Tail lamps with moisture during rains
2. Wipers make scratching noise
3. Vibration from boot when hold option is in place in traffic.
4. Only few service stations and only few are trained dealers rest of them can be unpleasant service
5. Needs to be very careful with new car deliveries
Can’t deny all these things and i can only say this, may be not everyone facing these issues but yes there are so many complaints about pathetic service experience and with new vehicles defects. Jeep have to improve its service network and service quality otherwise sales numbers will go down and down.
Even today my car is in garage to replace tail lamp for moisture especially I found this problem during rains. They say we didn’t find any problem in car wash even after I produced photos as evidence.
@@saivenkatcherukuri This moisture issue is not an issue according Jeep and this comes whenever it’s raining or we wash car, but it goes away after few minutes. Although this moisture is not making any problem to lights yet.
I saw for first time with Jeep because I never faced this problem with TATA, ŠKODA, HYUNDAI or Volkswagen. so for me it’s strange. Moisture into tail lamps. Since last 20 years of my family cars purchasing spree.
In my small world of knowledge I know over time this tail lamp will show up the flaw. Because of hardness of water. The salt deposits and other deposits will damage over time. Mine I have it for few days near the both tail lamp reflectors.
40 Lakhs is just ex-showroom; On-Road price is 50+, and this SUV is simply not worth that much tbh ...
You should take a long test drive of it.

Definitely Meridian. Only one thing which is better is Kodiaq is auto parking according to me

I have both cars between me and a close friend. I feel the safety in Jeep is better than Kodaiq. But then Kodaiq offers petrol and so if you are a petrol car lover, go for Kodaiq. Enthusiast can go for Meridian.
Hi..felt that AC is not that powerfull in hot weather of North India during test drive ....have u also faced this specific issue....pls guide as it would help me in making my decision....
Yes you are right but i felt that every vehicle with panoramic sunroofs has this issue but yes meridian ac should be more powerful as a full size suv.
I have similar concern with Jeep Compass actually - AC Cooling, Headlight Throw, Blind spot in A pillars, Hard clutch.

@@vikramchhettry4608I have no problems with AC and headlight throw in 2022 compass. Full LED projectors are more than adequate and even in 50° summers in Delhi the AC gets the car cool in 5 minutes.
Jeep meridian or innova hycross
Both are good in different ways. Meridian has diesel engine and more premium interiors in my opinion and hycross have ADAS and hybrid tech also has better third row space. Driving dynamics are better on meridian and also have moderate off-road capability too.
@@RajeNnSirRa we are planning in between these two buy my mom is like 3rd row is of no use in meridian why buy that can you be more specific please . Also here in Bengaluru 70% of hycross are yellow boards (commercial) so no respect
@@vampiregaming4089 Got your point but third row is usable for children and the road presence and respect you get from Jeep Meridian, can’t be matched by innova in my opinion. Third row mostly used as cargo space after folding seats for me.
Toyota is good reliability and low maintenance cost, but very raw and crude feeling. Jeep is premium quality, upmarket feeling but high maintenance than Toyota. In simple words Toyota is reliable, low maintenance and feels cheap where as Jeep will always feel good but high maintenance.
Is it good decision to buy costly diesel vehicle ? Not sure how many years diesel vehicles will last in india?
These BS6 diesel engines are valid for 15 years after registration. You can confirm with dealer and from company too.

@@babulal991 they won’t make petrol anymore as they were making petrol earlier but petrol engine can’t give mileage over 5-6 km\l and produce less power figures too. I think indian needs more torque in suvs and mileage also matters in indian automotive market so

@@babulal991 go for 4x2 as it is so capable to handle moderate off-roading. And yes diesel suvs are capable and fun to drive over any petrol suv. If you want sophistication, go with Meridian. Want hardcore capability and macho road presence, fortuner is the one. Harrier is value for money for many but I don’t like it much in premium ness and driving pleasure.

Kch dealers pe bhot acha hai and kch dealers pe kfi kharab. Mixed experience hai and Jeep se jyda dealer pe depend krta hai .
