Sammy is a Fantastic Singer and Peformer, i watched his concert in Germany from 1985 live and it was Fantastic and i cried my eyes out especially sang and danced to Mr Bojangles.

Bang on Lee.Bruce is one of a breed that will never appear again, it's a way too much trouble for many of today's so called artists to be as polished and professional as performers like him.
Justaguy i was brought up in those times, and it was wonderful and never to be repeated sadly, roy castle, Buddy rich, Les dawson, Eric and Ernie, Max wall, Frankie howard, Benny hill, the Des o connor show, Freddy starr, Parkinson, Billy connelly, don rickles, Kenny everete, not the nine o clock news, the young ones oh the list goes on !.
This was great, but like Bruce said, I would have loved to have seen Dean do some chat shows over here. I know he did a BBC interview when he came over to receive a Royal Variety Club lifetime achievement award in the early 1980's but that was rather formal. It would have been great to have seen him in a more relaxed setting like this. With his wonderful sense of humour and talent for ad libbing that he showed on his own variety show in the States I think he would have gone down a storm.

Sammy is always so great to listen to sing and chat and laugh around. Missed greatly but his recordings will always be with us.
