    It’s crazy how high the production value on this is, yet the actually demonstrations are actually showing the opposite of the Djokovic BH. He is hitting the Berettini BH here, you can see his racquet only moves about 2 inches in the acceleration phase, compared to the huge movement of Djokovic in the slow-mo vid provided

    This is a good video but if you look at Joker's "backhand drop," it's much lower than yours (strings pointing to the ground and racket below the knee) When looking at your backhand drop it's not as low so you don't see much of the lag effect.

    Dear Grant. Which is the dominant arm. Right or left. (for right handed). İs it a left hand forehand. Some say so, some are against it. I am confused😀

  • @jbf-ev1024

    terrific as usual. I first started watching your volley videos, but those links no longer work since your going solo. Those were great, and I even referred them to other players. Will you be making those available in the new channel soon? Or, if you feel like making something new, I'd love to see a comparison of technique used for a backhand slice from the baseline, backhand slice from the service line (approach shot), and one-hand backhand volley. They all seem related, but also slightly different (for example, swing length).

    4:30 "ATP racquet flip"
    Do the women do it any different on their 2Hander? I know about the forehand ATP flip vs the larger WTA backswing.
    But I thought the men and women have the same style on 2H backhand.

  • @loonaya
    @loonaya Před 2 lety +1

    During the whole video your front foot was parallel to the baseline, instead of pointing to the net. If it is parallel to the baseline, you are not letting your hips fully open thus reducing the power of the shot.
    Otherwise good video.

    • @MultiWillempie
      @MultiWillempie Před 2 lety

      Exactly this. Looks nothing like Djokovic backhand because of the stance of your feet. You’re not able to get the power in the right direction. Djokovic stance is parallel to the midline. He has control of direction and power. You have power but no control of direction. Or you’ll have control but no power. Not optimal.

  • @knotwilg3596
    @knotwilg3596 Před rokem +2

    The explanation is good but the execution is not quite looking like Djokovic. Your left arm remains straight and therefore the racket drop and acceleration are far from what Djokovic generates.

  • @watcher687
    @watcher687 Před 8 měsíci

    Maybe you shouldn’t focus on that flip especially while you’re learning the stroke. Hopefully it will happen naturally when you’re really loose and do all the fundamentals correctly as shown in the video. Besides, some top pros hardly have any flip like Del Potro for example.
