Mullet, McFlurry, and James' 240 had a hard time on Bristol Dragway getting traction. We had to fight our way to the finals and got super lucky our opponent had some issues! We've also gotta figure out why McFlurry keeps backfiring and shutting off...

I'm glad the comment section is holding that track accountable. I'm shocked no one wrecked. EVERY. SINGLE. RACER. was sliding like it was an ice skate ring. Mad props to all the racers for holding it together and literally putting your life on the line. This really makes me appreciate tracks like Braedenten Motorspeedway and the amount of prep work they do.

The owner of the track didn't hold the event, Street car takeover rents the Track from Bristol to hold the event, he should have complained to the track owner, its impossible to make a Radial car work on a surface like that.

@@callumradford1651 here are the rules for a take over event. Remember not all car are radials. The big tire class can run bias-ply slicks while the other classes are restricting radial. It’s all no prep. Which means they don’t put down anything except the rubber from the burnouts. Enjoy reading and learning.
RACE RULES: No prep surface, 1/8th mile, heads up, no qualifying. Instant green, no time on boards and time slips split. All entries must pre-register with Street Car Takeover.
Big Tire: Must be a door car, no aftermarket complete fiber glass or carbon fiber bodies. Any tire ok, must have vin tag. (This class will not be ran at all No Prep raced this year. Check your cities detailed racer schedule and classes to see if it fits the city or contact Street Car Takeover
Small Tire: Must be a door car, no aftermarket complete fiber glass or carbon fiber bodies. 28×10.5 non W or smaller tire and 275 or smaller radial is required. Must have vin tag and meet safety regulations of Street Car Takeover.

Went to Bristol a couple years ago for Father's day. The track seems to be slippery where the 2/3 walk tunnels go under the track. Alot of the pro mod guys were taking power out of the engines, to maintain traction through the run. On the plus side there's nothing like hearing Horsepower echo off the mountains.

Can anyone explain why the track management doesn't prep the tracks properly, I get it not being perfect between events, but for an event seems kinda BS to not prep it.

This track hosts many nhra sanctioned events they know how to prep a track. I don’t think it’s fair to blame the track without knowing the conditions of the contract from the promoters and the track itself.
