A Day in My Life: MY PARENTS Come to Our Joint-Family Home in India 🇮🇳

- Here's what a day in my life looks like in India when my family visits from New Zealand! We hosted my parents at our homes in New Delhi and Bahadurgarh, Haryana, so they could meet Manisha's parents and extended family.
I'll take you through our day from the time we wake up and I make my favourite masala chai until my parents leave that night to the airport.
Before this, our families travelled around India's Golden Triangle together. But this was the first time they were spending an entire day together at home where they could relax.

The moment you made that Adrak wali chai, you got a certification that you're Indian.
Thanks Bro! Hope I put in ginger, cardamom, and chai masala haha. Everything 😁 And full milk, only a little water for extracting the ginger flavour at the beginning.
Make Adrak wali chai to get Indian Citizen Certificate.

U should open up a travel agency . That will help foreigners travel India safely and scammers free according to their budget
Something like this will happen. Manisha is working on it with me. Covid-19 is obviously gonna effect the plans somewhat
That is a fantastic idea. I got scammed by my tour guide for paying 300 Indian rupees entry ticket for visiting a tourist site that didn't require an admission fee. I deducted 300 rupees when paying him at the end of the tour. I probably would have paid him a lot more since I enjoyed my conversations and tour in my fluent Hindi language.
Karl, if you can please also mention how much are we supposed to pay the tour guides. They always insist on saying "pay us whatever you feel like paying" and thus leaving tourists not having a sense of what fair wage to pay them.

I have a few Indian friends in the town where I live, in Scotland.
Started off doing work for them, fitting out shops and restaurants and some of them became good friends.
Now I get lots of building work, directly from them and through the local mosque……When they say “I’ll recommend you to my friends,” they mean it, lol……After my first job, most of my work started coming from the Indian and Muslim community.
I had to employ 3 more joiners, to keep up with the jobs coming in.
That's cool bro. Wonderful to have work coming in and being recommended by friends. Good luck in the future
Happy for you and buddy. -- Sunil Bharat
Are you sure they are actually Indian, and not Pakistani or Bangladeshi? I ask because you mention a mosque.
@@xombieo0723 Well, India has mosques too.
@@megsie1424 Did you even understand what he said? First off, he is talking about a mosque located in Scotland, not India. He's assuming that his friends who attend that mosque are "Indian" as most white people tend to do when they meet Desi / South Asian people in general. That's why I asked him if HE IS SURE that those friends he is referring to are indeed Indian, and not Pakistani or Bangladeshi (as there is a higher probability that they are either one of those than Indian, given that most actual Indians are Hindus).
You gave money straight to your wife. Story of a every married man.

I cleaned houses for Indian families in the United States. They were always very friendly and kind and they would always let me sample their food. I love Indian food now! They really appreciated our work ethic and we're amazed that American women could fix things around the house like me and my mother did for them. So sweet.

The same is equally true for Manisha's mother as well. Being an Iron lady to fight off the disrespecting society is not an easy job. Both of their mothers are mothers as it is.

I really loved you make tea for neighbors as well. Also, I totally agree with you saying neighbors became our family members in India. When I went to India, I loved that Indian culture! 😍 They literally concern about neighbors as their own family and care of each other! What a beautiful culture! 🥰
What more human or animal want. Then need love and care from others. That's what most of Indians believe
you only see a part of India which is good and mind you, very small. Most of the India is very racist and talk shit behind your back as soon as you turn away. You can be blinded and keep living your illusion but the fact of the matter is that India is one of the most racist countries out there. As Indians we have more to be ashamed of and work on than seeing these videos which shows you what you want to see.
@@stillsearching5816 Every country/culture has their own demons to deal with. While India isn't perfect, it's definitely not the cesspool some international media and over zealous Indian liberals make it out to be. One should be appreciative where it's due. As they say, "Koi kamal ki kali dekhta hai keechad me..
Toh kisi ko chaand me daag nazar ata hai."
litti chokha well even though what you are saying has some truth in it, it doesn’t mean we can not criticise what’s happening here. I am not liberal in any way but that doesn’t mean I can’t see the truth of the people in this country. Unless you identify the problem you can’t fix it. You can look at the countries who are worse than us, I look at the ones which are better and want to be more like them instead.
Omnipotent 000 unless you criticise the flaws you can never get rid of it. You can sweep it under the rug, but it doesn’t really go away. Also lying doesn’t make the situation here in our country any better.
If everyone got along like this, this world would be a much pleasant place to live, congratulations guys

I love how "uncle" with a name I won't even try to write goes and takes care of grey hoodie guy who looks exactly like I looked when I was young and insecure and introverted, puts his arm around the dude and ask his name, involve him in the most friendly way. That really hit home for me and explained to me something.
I discovered this channel YESTERDAY, I've watched a few videos, 5-10 maybe, not much... But I was thinking to myself up until a few minutes ago - why am I watching this? Why is this so captivating for me?
A few reasons;
The realness, you don't cut and edit millions of times (I already wrote this in a comment on another video),
the realness really just extends more than that, you seem so sincere and you both seem like the best people, and your neighbors and parents. You two are just so incredibly real.
This is lovely.
@gary after watching 4-5 videos, what do you think about India? News that you watch or seen is jus t a misconception and effort to malign our reputation and embarass our culture.
