People don’t believe me when I tell them that I knew George before fame! He was good friends with my aunt’s family in Pearsall, Texas. I went hunting with him and rode horses with him before Unwound came on the radio in 1981! I was 10!🥰 I was raised 30 miles from him in cotulla, Texas

You might’ve known my grandparents, mom and uncle. The Whites. Deryl and Ruby were my grandparents. Born and raised in Pearsall. My mom was Elizabeth (Betsy), and Mike was born in Dilly. My grandfather taught at Cotulla High school.
Mr. Straight's music sure has touched countless country and city hearts.

I saw George in a little theater in the round in Dallas before he hit it big. I told my wife that night to remember the name George Strait because he's going to be a big deal soon. Sure enough it wasn't long till songs like Unwound launched him to the top of the charts and he's been there ever since. I've been a fan for 40 years and will continue to be. I'm only 4 years old that George so I hope I get to keep enjoying his music for many years to come.

Not that I follow Country Music a lot because I don't but there are a few country musicians I like. George Strait is definitely one I've followed and have thought he was a real stand up guy. Never heard anything bad about his personal life. Glad to have seen him with such lasting power in the industry. I can't tell you how many times I watched his movie, Pure Country.

I can be at work and be so frustrated and anxious, then I put George Strait on my headphones and he calms me right down...my coworkers are very grateful to him for this calming effect, lol. I love his song " I'll always remember you"; to bad we don't hear it more on the radio stations.

Hands down it HAS to be George Strait. I was in a near fatal car accident, while comatose my family played all country music stars, George was one at that time. Singing to his songs helped me regain my vocal chords, haven't decided if that's a good thing yet.

I love yr music Mr.George Strait my husband of 20yrs suffered 3 strkes & a brain anirisum he can't speak they had ro remove half of his skull on he just under went another surgery to replace his skull but they couldn't do it was infected and had a mass around it so they placed a titanium plate he is the type of man that never new how to express himself so when he heard the song I Cross My Heart he told that's how I feel about you so that our song he is can't walk or speak he is bed bound we had planned to see you in concert when you would play in San Antonio Texas but were not able to anymore due to his health so I play that song every day for him and tell him how much this songs means to me he just tears up and I do as well he new how much I Love Yr Music I even waited for four months to get yr poster that was up in a corner store that has your pic with a bud wiser beer he was gonna make a frame for it but then this happened to him on my birthday last year... I just wanted to share with you that song means so much to me cuze that how my husband was able to tell me how much he LOVES ME Plus his favorite song is Trubadore.... MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YR FAMILY... WISH WE COULD HAVE SEEN U IN A CONCERT BUT HOPEFULLY WE CAN IN THE FUTURE...

George Straits Daughter was killed close to here in San Marcos, Texas. A very tragic accident. The college he went to is Texas State that.s about 20 minutes from my house. He played a lot in San Marcos before he hit it big. I have seen about 7 of his concerts and he always puts on a good show. No flashing lights, just good country music.
I saw George at a Willie Nelson concert in Charleston WV in early 80’s. I was 21. Just a great performer.

I've been in love with George Harvey Strait, Sr. for the past 35 years. I am separated from my misogynistic husband since June of 2020 when he was drunk an hit me so hard in the shoulder with the irreparably, torn rotator cuff that I am in almost constant pain when I must lift anything over 10 pounds. I have the opposite shoulder in almost the same condition, so my surgeon tells me I need to have my left knee replaced first, then after it heals, we will discuss what he has in mind, for my shoulders in July of 2022. Watching & listening to George Strait is about the only enjoyment I have now. I love him no matter what anyone else says he is the best Country star from the past 70 years, hands down.

Would have been nice if you would have talked about how he loves to team rope and his ropin he has every year and how his brother was his best friend and he passed away a few years ago. I’m one of the biggest fans and have had the pleasure of being around him at a couple ropins. It’s nice to see that when he does rope the other cowboys don’t bug him. He just blends in with the rest of the ropers.
