Big Bloodsplosion Booms!
QOTD: What would be your ideal level cap for Borderlands 4?
honestly level 80 is a perfect level
@@SwankyBip Too many skill points for me
TVHM would be 60. UVHM would be 80.
I really enjoyed 61 (1 cap stone and half a second tree) felt balanced two me
3 💪💪💪
QOTD: Honestly, 72. I don’t want level caps paid for like in BL2, but I don’t want them in slow increments like in BL3.
Definetly not small increments like bl3 but a couple large jumps all unpaid. No one liked farming all your anointed gear many times over cause of a 2-5 level increase
@@tryhardor1869 Completely agreed! 👍
@@tryhardor1869Yeah, I'd be alright with it jumping from 50 -> 60 -> 72, especially if the jumps are relatively close together. I’d rather get them out of the way as quickly as possible even if it means more farming in the short term.
But 72 is paid in BL2
@@Cuestrupaster What?
QOTD: Depends on how they do it. 70 is probably the healthiest max level cap before things start getting ridiculous, but man does have lvl 80 and subsequent skill points that come with it make you feel awesome. The thing I hope that stays the same is getting your action skill at level 2. It's suppose to be a part of their playstyle, and waiting till level 5 to get it was not painful or slow by any means. Just felt silly.
QOTD: I'd say probably 70 allows you to spec down into all 3 skill trees but only capstone 2 of them :)
Skill points are nice, but having too many means that most builds end up feeling the same
If we get the same skilltrees... they can always change the way they are and works...
I’m pretty sure you can capstone all three in TPS
@@youreadmychannelnameyou can, but that’s because the points required to reach capstone is less in TPS than it is in 2 (22 skill points vs 26), that and getting your action skill at level 3 vs level 5.
72 is nice considering they probably will keep the 4 skill trees a thing going forward. Hopefully.
if i wanted a Lvl cap, i'd set it up a ways so we have something to work towards, but not so high that it takes forever to reach or ends up allowing a character to run essentially every build in one set up. if we get 3 skill trees, the 72 - 80 range feels good so we can get 2 full trees with some support from the 3rd. if we get 4 trees like what BL3 did, either shrink the skill trees to a more compact set up or give us some extra skill points from specific story points. BL3 with it's lvl cap at the end allowed for some diverse build options even if a team all used the same Vault Hunter
Level 70-80, with 4 skill trees too. Can get two capstones while also having build variety. End game BL3 skill trees were great with DLC.
A nice crispy 100 on the level cap. It would be a pain for the grind but really satisfying to see that 100.
Agreed
Did that once in a modded BL2 run, level cap of 90 with the OP levels taking the total level cap to 100. Got totally crazy but fun.
10:30 Joltz "I wanna see you die now" *dies* "now i feel better 😇"
I feel like a good balance would be 65 or 60 for a level tap. It’s not too low like Wonderland and it’s not too high like borderlands two. For me if I did choose a number 65 would be that middle ground.
Oh, and if we’re gonna have four skill trees like borderlands three that might be the best place to put it even with three only it still would work out well.
Hey joltz I just had a heart attack and got put in the hospital but not missing the play through always puts me in a good mood!
Level 88 with two more play through after UVHM. So a grand total of five play throughs.
PS love you man! Keep up the amazing content!❤❤❤❤
hell no
Love the vids, super spawns makes bloodsplosion so fun. I also hope Joltz plays FFYL lands one day :D
Seeing everyone bloodsplode is like that one scene in the first Kingsman
QOTD: That completely depends on the size of the skill trees. The bl1 skill trees had a lot less skills than bl2 and blps, let alone bl3. But if the skill tree is the same size as bl2, then i think 65 would be a good cap.
I had the same thoughts, it's going to be how long the skill trees are.
Its hard to go wrong with the classic level 50 cap for us OG MMO players out there
Hey Joltz! Love the vids and frequently fall asleep to them c: Could I ask that you move the order of the vids around in this playlist and the last? They're going from newest to oldest instead of the usual way. Sorry if I'm being a bother or anything :'3
69 was my favorite lvl cap from BL1, Not even because of funny number but it just felt right.
Who else agrees that joltz dude is the goat
I know this isn’t the question of the day but I just wanted to share my first run beating borderlands 2 I played kreig and at the warrior I had no good guns and I ran out of ammo so I had to cheese him by standing at the beginning of the arena where you jump down and use my ultimate and throw Kraig’s weapon for like 20 minutes 😭 love the vids keep up the work
Can’t wait for the ultimate Kreig play through
QOTD: honestly I liked where the level and skill trees were with BL3 at the base game. Level 50 with 3 skill trees was nice with how the characters were. I think BL2 ending at TVHM and adding OP levels there would’ve been perfect.
Qotd: Without DLC: 70 w 3 skill trees.
With DLC 80 and 4 Skill trees
This could allow for neat builds where different trees can interact, while preventing a character from becoming too op too easily. Plus the 4th tree concept was really cool.
Bloodsplosion is such an awesome skill
QOTD: Enough to get a specific build you wanna have going that has a certain theme and then maybe enough points for an extra skill for it down in another tree. For example: A sniper Zero gets two fang and thats it for points then.
Depends on how big the skill trees are. I like being able to capstone 2 trees and have about 10 extra skills. 72 seems to be about perfect for that, but bigger or smaller trees would change the exact number.
QOTD: I legit want BL4 to have a level cap of 100 even, with more "useless" skills that get stronger the further down you go. For example, mid-way through the tree you want to use for Normal mode you can get some great skills, for TVHM you'd get even lower down the trees and maybe can do two, and for UVHM/Mayhem/Etc. You have the opportunity to unlock the best of the best skills for endgame/raid bosses.
The only caveat is either the grind will take a while or level ups will be a little too frequent.
This is the first time ive seen joltz use rubberized grenades
I would say something in the high 50s which allows you to get a capstone and invest deep into another tree for some great versatility but not so many points like in bl2 and bl3 where you can get pretty much every skill you need in 1 spec
1:51 when you and the boys waiting on reception
Joltz u can't forget the 5 gubs. They need u
I think that level 75 with possibly like 5-25 op levels would be a nice place cause 70 points for build crafting depending on how they make it work sounds nice.
QOTD. Kinda outside the box thinking, when if every character has a different level cap depending on how many skills they have. The less skills they have the lower the level cap etc.
on release i hope for around lvl70 cause usually the higher the cap the more content (wonderlands for example) but as they add dlcs would be cool to see a level90-100 cap with some huge skill trees
QOTD: personally either 65 or 70 seem like good level max caps. Gives you a good number of skill points for late game but also leaves room for how you use them for a specific build. I like a challenge
Depends on how many skills there are, preferably level 61 with op levels that don't give skills per level up. Old times are fun
That is true
It all depends on how many skills there are in a tree. If its like bl1 then 69 is perfect, and they can always do skill point rewards like they did for the bl1 dlcs.
This mod is like a micheal bay movie
QOTD: I don’t want there to be a cap. An xp system that results in people agreeing on a general “level 70 ish for completed builds” while allowing people who want it to get every skill sounds nice.
I feel like the game would get boring if you could get every skill, even if it took a really long time. You wouldn’t have to make any meaningful choices about how to allocate your points. I’d also be worried about endgame content being balanced around the assumption that you have every skill.
@@B_Skizzle think about all the souls games as an example. You can max everything and yet people put a lot of thought into how to build characters. Just because you can get everything doesn’t mean there’s no value in creating synergy along the way.
It gives the synergy people the ability to be flexible with how many points they need while allowing people who want to play god with everything to do so.
100. The amount of skill points would fit depending on how they make the skill tree, It would add more customization and more builds that people could make for endgame!
72 is probably the best bet, although I wouldn't mind if it was raised to 80 along with a dlc that would require so many skill points. Something like mixing BL3 and BL2, giving us a new skill tree along with a dlc, and 8 more levels to give us more build flexibility with the new tree.
QOTD: I think TPS had the best scaling, due in part to its level cap. you couldn't get every skill that synergised well, but you could get enough of them.
QOTD: To be honest, it really depends on more factors, on what level we get action skill, how many skill trees there will per VH and how fast would be exping. If it's fast like BL3, 80 would work too
The level cap should be 5 to keep on theme with this series
The level cap in BL4 would depend on what or how they are doing skill trees. If they keep much the same as they have in BL2 and 3 then a clean 100 would be nice, skiping the any level cap increase etc. But more interrestingly if they choose to rework the skill trees to have fewer skills but make them way more impactfull then level 20 would be good. But what i want the most is for the skill trees to have much more synargize with each other. Which would dictate the level cap.
I'm fully aware how busted it would be, but i think it's finally time for us to get the fabled level 100 in BL4
I’d love 72 cap with 8op levels, I just found perfect how borderlands 2 was made
Crip mac approves of this run
QOTD honestly depends on how big skill trees are the 61-72 range always felt the most solid before they changed it in 2 so I hope they just stick to that.
but side note bring back level 5 skill unlocks they give you those WAY to early now
fun fact: normal goliaths can become god-liaths too, they’re just called fatal god-liaths. so that snow god-liath wasn’t originally a badass
Somewhere in the 60s was great for both BL2 and BL3 imo so if the skill trees are anything like either of those then probably around 65
I'd prefer around that too. It makes every skill point feel more valuable
I want a level cap of 99 or 100 like the older RPGs from my childhood. 69 is also dope... for obvious reasons.
QOTD: 100 flat would be great, make it hard to get to, add wild skill trees and maybe for once we get to max out all skill trees?
Make it 100, just 'cause. Three digits looks nice. 😂 Also, have more 10 point skills in the trees.
QOTD
It depends on the number of skills and if something like the OP Levels will exist, because you shouldn't be able to have all the skills in all the trees but you should be able to get 2 capstones and about half of the third tree, if there are 4 trees but its enemy level scaling is even more unforgiving than 1s, then maybe every 10 levels gets 2 points instead of one to try to counteract that at least for players who don't farm (if it is something like that it should be toggleable because I don't need that I'm far too addicted to farming everything I don't need).
depends on how the skill lvl are used and how many skill tree are there to be used, but 70 is i think reasonable, they can unlock cap when new dlc and stuff drops
QOTD: 100% it should be capped at 50. Enough to cap one skill tree and dip into some others is perfect for build verity vs power-creep. This also should be paired with 1 to 30 normal mode and 30 to 50 tvhm.
For the QOTD i think having enough skill points to reach the end of two skill trees is a good amount so whatever that lv is for the next game hopefully
I would say 80 be the LVL cap but with a twist, a Vault Hunter Prestige similar to COD's Prestige system but the Prestige system allows you unlock whatever you call to make the story harder while the lvl reset back to 1 or 0(Only the first time it goes back to lvl 0 but it increases by 5 the more you prestige, and the lvl start would max out at 30).
I would want the level cap to be 100. With all of the crew challenges, boss farms, and everything in between that gearbox will add, I think level 100 would be great especially if they do a 4th skill tree again for the next game.
QOTD: I think it would be more interesting to see certain skill perks in a tree like cap stones to reqiure more than 1 point. This could make people become more creative with builds.
QOTD: The ideal level cap in my opinion is an amount that can just barely reach two cap stone skills. It would bring something new and refreshing if cool synergies would happen if two cap stone skills were unlocked at the same time!
Level 45 with two skill trees. I liked the route wonderlands went and i think that's the best for build diversity.
QOTD: I think that level 90-100 with 3-4 playthroughs would work so well if the xp is done right making it a replay able game and a progressively challenging game
QOTD: personally depends on how many skills there are. if its like BL3 then 72 is good, but if its something like BL1 with very few (chances are it wont be) then something like 50
QOTD: I'd say 70 is a good level cap if they stick to giving us our action skill at level 2. And if they work with the minimal investment per tier like in the Pre-Sequel.
Imo it will depend on how big the skill trees gonna be
QOTD: Either 72 or 80 like in BL2. The addition of 80 was nice but didnt give too much variety or addition against the 72. You had to spent them more wisely and out of the 8 additional you dont get too much in my humble opinion
Grrragh!!! (Golly, new video😊)
The level cap should be EXPLOSIONS!
Maybe something around 70-ish depending on at what level action skill is unlocked.
QOTD: I think level 100 would be perfect. You could scale everything linearly using powers of 10. It would help balance gear and with overall coding of the game.
when this whole series is done will you be posting a full movie type deal for this series?
man 69 would be the most fitting level cap imo
i feel like 72 was alright, maybe something like op challenges that let you gain another point like mad moxi did for the 1st game could add to the fun and show extra skill
So Joltz, quick question regarding farming exp in FFS on a new character. How long can you stay in the dlc before the raiders fully take over sanctuary?
I think it would be good to cap 3 skill trees but they should add 2 skill trees so we have 5 to pick from to try to mix and match from.
I love you joltzs
Hey joltz did you know if you have a deliverance throw it and switch to a bass boom the throw will do the badabooms damage probably be good on krieg
Badaboom*
In answer to your question i'd like to see the level cap hit 100 but.. hear me out, all skills have an option for mastery which enhance them one step further so you really have to assess which skills to prioritise mastery on in the late game builds
QOTD: 100 because it would allow for some really OP end game builds were you have like 3 max skill trees.
QOTD: I'm gonna throw a curve ball and say BL3 is getting a last dlc that puts levelcap to 80, and BL4 is gonna cap at 80, idk man but gotta love synergy and if it's all the same level it makes my brain happy
QOTD: For all the memes, level 100 should be max level, its a nice tidy number kinda makes sense (and would obv have op 100 cos gearbox)
For the max level question, I'd say it's mostly a question of skill trees (since that's the main thing related to levels) and I think people saying 2 capstones + some skill points left is the perfect system. My main gripe with the level system is the way it's raised ; I think it's a rather uninteresting way to make the players come back to the game, and I would prefer a system where max level is here from the start (or maybe raised once) and instead of meaningless level cap raise forcing people to grund for exp and farm for the weapons they already have again, give us new stuff to fight/farm for
Probably Level 70 like the Pre Sequel so you can make the build you want, albeit only cap out 2 trees. Plus give us level cap increases in increments of 10 for free, like 50 to 60 to 70.
I want the level cap for bl4 to be 50, we dont need so many skill points and i dont want to do another pre sequel level grind
I think no level cap could be interesting allow you to keep going and keep scaling not to mention eventually stacking every skill in your arsenal seems on the nose for this franchise
QOTD: I'd like to see a level 50 cap with 2 skill points per level, also op/mayhem level without having op/mayhem weapons, so you keep the lvl 50 items while the enemies are slightly tougher but drop more unique gear based on the active difficulty level chosen, let's say 1 to 5
Would randomizer, x3 spawns, with the crafting mod work? That’d be chaos
idk if you’ve heard this before but i’m really liking the 15 minute videos again and still kinda miss the 30 minute ones🥺 but i get that you have a life too man🙏😭
QOTD: Most games with leveling systems only go up to 99, so I think 100 would be really cool and make BL4 stand out more.
QOTD: I would say 65. I understand as a vault hunter, you would be much stronger than everyone around you, but I find it boring being a glass canon every time.
I would like a level cap of 88, just enough to be able to get to the capstone of each skill tree but a revamp of the skill tree system as well where we can over level the skills only on max level characters similar to class mods
For the qotd. I think 139 would be great 😊
Uncapped would be interesting. Limited skill points. But infinite levels
I think the new level cap should be a bit higher. Maybe 90-100? I also think characters should come base with 4 skill trees next time or have the 3 trees be bigger.
Honestly 72 is just a classic level cap due to the fact it was the level cap for the LONGEST time due to BL2 and it's popularity
QOTD: I really liked the bl 1 lvl cap, felt like it was a nice grind but wasn't to long like bl2 felt imo. I never really got into the others unfortunately, but bl1 was a fun and easy grind to max
QOTD: I think it depends on the skill tree size. If it's like wonderlands I understand a 40-50 range
Bl2 and 3 I can understand 70-80
I personally would like the good old 72 we have known and loved for so long
Oh and no more forced modifiers let us choose if we want them from the start haha
My brain what's happening, I'm glad I'm not the only one whose thoughts and words go in the box also I master thee five magic kings, krieg is op
QOTD: I feel that level 70 would be a great cap for BL4. It would allow for diverse builds, and it wouldn't take 4 days to get to max level.
I want the level cap to be 100, but I want levelling up to be faster and more incremental. Skills should have a cool effect that changes the game, but have an even cooler game-changing effect when capped out, to incentivize finishing skills off.
