Meek and mild. How misunderstood are these two words. Both are looked on as weakness in the secular world. But looking further at them, we can see that these are the cornerstone of our faith. Jesus, from His birth to His crucifixion was never a dominant leader, with desires of overthrowing any government. His ministry was not one of forceful takeover of the Jewish leaders. Quite the opposite. His ministry was one of meek and mild. His ministry was for the people, not for any political reasons. He was an example of the way God desired for us to live. The strength in those two words, comes from the fact that neither are self-indulgent. The practice of being meek and mild, placed the needs of others above your own. It required one to be humble and think about others first. When you look at Jesus's ministry, His teachings declared that very message. It was about love. Love God with all your heart, mind, and soul! Love your neighbor as yourself! How could a self-indulgent individual do that? Those who are not connected to the understanding of their spiritual being can never understand that domination is a self-serving desire to control. It is a continual effort to keep yourself out front. Not so in God's world. We are here to serve. We are here to provide support for each other. We are here to follow the example of a Lord who loved us so much that he gave His life for us, and in doing so relieved us of the burden of our sin debt. A Lord who was resurrected and defeated the uncertainty of death and qualified us for eternal life. All of this, without weapons, without slandering rhetoric, or disrespect to those who were against His ministry, even though they desired to kill Him. No, Jesus Christ changed the world through His meek and mild manner. That, as they say, is history, a history of truth and certainty.🙏💖. Good night my friend, and may the Lord watch over you and your family. May the new day bring you hope and joy in all you do.🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
