- In this video, you'll be amazed to find out what people are actually allowed to do on New Year's Eve!
I was walking around central Budapest for New Year's Eve and filmed what people get up to. Hungarians are legally allowed to set off fireworks in the street. I was surprised how much fun everyone had making tiny firework towers in the street! If you're looking for a party atmosphere to ring in the New Year, be sure to check out Budapest, Hungary - you won't regret it!
Crazy or cool? What do you think? 🎉
Really enjoyed that video. Fun watching what goes on New Years in Budapest. Reminds me of the 4th of July (Independence Day) in the US.
Very very beautiful ❤❤❤
There are no official fireworks on New Year's Eve in Hungary. ( Official fireworks is on 20th of AUG.) Only in private. From 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning. Fireworks larger than category 2 may only be used then. Firecrackers are prohibited. Fireworks rated higher than category 2 must be released in January. The remaining 1st and 2nd categories can be used throughout the year, but only on private land.
This was great. I'd love to have been there. You can either be safe or free, not both.
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
We aren’t allowed to have fireworks in Perth Western Australia so seeing this I’m envious, but I do understand it could be dangerous in such a close group of people
Were visiting in June this year and we always miss these sort of events 😀 I need to return one year for the Xmas new years celebrations
Wow, I didn't realise fireworks were banned there! What's the main reason for banning them?
Yes, the fireworks in August are pretty tame compared to what goes on at NYE. 😂
@@thisishungary they are banned in our state but other Australia states have allowances, it was banned decades ago due to the safety issues of them injuring people.
Viki, i need to ask an indelicate question, I apologise in advance.
I have been shocked to learn recently that disposal of toilet paper is done by different means in some countries. For example, in Bulgaria a trash can is provided in the bathroom and this is where used paper is deposited.
What is the situation in Hungary please? I have read about this online, but I can't find a definitive answer.
That's ok!😅 Rest assured that the toilet paper disposal situation in Hungary is the same as in the UK! 😃
@@thisishungaryThanks so much! You've put my mind at ease!
