The Woobles were my gateway drug into crochet. I had tried learning from books years ago and I just couldn't get it. The videos were super helpful BUT I definitely think it's way too expensive if you already know how to crochet. ❤

I taught myself to crochet mostly using CZcams videos during covid. I did have trouble judging which videos showed actual beginner projects and which were a bit too hard for true beginners. Even so, I spent a lot less money. I couldn't justify the very high price tag for wobbles compared to just getting yarn and watching CZcams videos for free.

The fact that you can choose "lefty or righty" is revolutionary. I struggled so bad learning to crochet just 5 years ago cause I'm left handed

I work at a craft store and these little kits are constantly out of stock because people love them so much! On average I'd say most people buy two at the same time, and we get calls a lot asking if specific kits are in stock. I love the way they've been opening the door for more people to start crocheting--especially kids.

The kits are 90% marketing. There are tons of cute kits for $5-10 that come with all the supplies, and there are FREE beginner videos. A skein of yarn, crochet hook, stuffing and safety eyes will run $15-20 at any craft store if you dont want a kit. I couldn't believe someone would pay $40 plus shipping for a simple project. I still can't.

Your look of concern while Benson was drinking is literally me at my dog every other day, he just GOES IN for like 25 seconds lol

  • @mariadamaso5461

Jenna discovering safety eyes is such a mood

I LOVE the woobles. I have never used a kit, but I have used their book and I love how each of them turns out. So I would recommend the book to anyone who has done a wooble and loves them but doesn't want to pay the price of another kit. Thanks, Jenna!

    CROCHET TIP!!!

  • @ElizabethT45

I'm working on Fred the Dinosaur. At first, I thought $30 U.S. plus extra for a hook seemed expensive - but it's the tutorial videos that are worth that price alone. When I started crocheting, I used YT videos and just winged it. The Woobles videos are re-teaching me the correct way to crochet.

My first ever crochet piece was the woobles. My mom bought it for me for Christmas last year and I absolutely failed miserably. My narwal looked more like something not pg lol but that was my gateway into crochet and now that I know how I can actually make some things well so I'd say despite the price I LOVE the woobles

  • @Bluebear2817

I found just putting on a youtube video and making a simple granny square was so much easier to learn crochet from than getting a beginner kit! might just be me, but I struggled so much with the amigurumi style bits and bobs, without knowing the basic stitches. If you're a complete beginner I would try practising some basic stitches first and not going straight into making a bloody turtle toy like I did!

The Wooble kits are a great start for a beginner- I highly recommend just starting with 1 and seeing if it’s meant for you. I was hooked after my first and bought more after that☺️ also teaches you how to read patterns which has led me onto learning other projects and I have even referenced their tutorial videos on CZcams if I needed a refresher on a type of stitch. I’m glad you got to try them as well and see they are great! Your videos have definitely influenced me into trying this new hobby and have introduced me into the crochet world that I love🥰 thank you for that!!

  • @debbiew.7630

They should definitely sponsor you for this. You absolutely sold me. Too bad you don’t have the kits available through your website. ❤🎉

  • @Nicole-kd1nl

Okay. I literally tried these out 10 days ago. I’ve never crocheted before in my life.. I’ve already completed a beginner animal and two of the mini ones!!

  • @debrecio8150

I just ordered a Wooble last night because I have been wanting to learn to crochet after watching your videos ❤ I love serendipity

  • @Sherbear60

So much fun! I almost bought a couple of kits for my granddaughters for Christmas,, but, I have already bought them yarn, hooks and, they have me and their other grandmother to teach them,,,I just wondered if they might enjoy this more. Still weighing out this option, because you made it so much fun!!❤

  • @to_infinity_and_pavlova

Just want to say how much you and your channel have inspired me to take up crochet and honestly the past few months have been amazing thank you so much 💕💕💕💕👍

  • @Mousewith

I would say that for a complete beginner I would recommend Pierre the Penguin. Since he is the main wooble his tutorials are used for the other woobles tutorials hence the color swapping.
