What Is The Minority Mindset?
The Minority Mindset has nothing to do with the way you look or what kind of family you're from. It's a mindset.
Give the majority $200 and they will come back with a pair of shoes. Give the minority $200 they will come back with $2,000.
Think from the mindset of a consumer and be the provider, that's the Minority Mindset. Don't be the majority. #MIH #ThinkMinority #FinancialLiteracy

Minority Mindset might be a crazy one but check all your dollar bills and change and even at times go to a bank and buy a roll of coins for a few bucks worst case scenario you come out even to take a chance at finding a gem.
As a fat old ugly guy, I can assure you that people would not bother to watch at all.
I love this guy funny direct and strait to the point thanks for all these videos brother keep it up
Wow your so gorgeous
Love the common sense approach on your channel! Thank you, keep up the good work, and good luck with your own endeavors as well.
This is how I have been living and I didn't stop at $2,000, I now have $8,620 saved up.
Beavis lemme hold 20dollars ill invest it
Chief Keef lol
Congratulations
Well done
Good job man đđœ
Saving the first $2000 is so important. It may seem boring and unnecessary, but it's not that boring when you lose your job or your roof starts leaking.
Cooper Academy - when shit hits the pan 2k will let you down.
Kanda, he tells you to move on to saving 6 months of expenses, so it's not really supposed to the be the stopping point, just a start.
The Fine Print true that
Save up for 3 months in case you lose your job, and if your roof starts leaking dig a hole and have a swimming pool
Iâm on this journey now. Saved 500 but wanna have a 10k cushion in the bank because Iâve been broke most of my life and finally at 28 started money management.
Don't eat out!!!! Cooking from home will cut back so much spending for a majority of people. Even if it's just temporary so you can save that $2000. Great video!
I skip lunch at work lol
In cities like NY grocery shopping is more expensive than eating out.
TruFinancials eating out can be cheaper for me. Using a gas stove costs more than a $10 takeaway ( healthy ) meal that can last two days.
Although using a slow cooker/crock pot I cook huge meals and freeze most of it in portions so I have ready made meals in the freezer.
Easier said than done with a girlfriend who won't quit eating out
Barely
Luckily, my personal entertainment is free, because CZcams is all i need.
Dranreb internet bill?
Dylan Thomas In a modern society like this, it's mandatory, but at least i got all of my entertainment from a free website.
Dranreb You're right. CZcams and Google is everything you need. You can basically learn anything from these sources. Thanks for the reply, and your completely right.
Dylan Thomas And libraries. I use both resources. I am halfway to becoming a millionaire by using free resources. There is so much great info online and in the library that it boggles my mind that most go the library to study for school or watch entertainment videos.
I have CZcams and use my friends Netflix đ
Once you have that cushion and you're out of that deadzone (hovering around broke), it's like a total weight is lifted off your shoulders :P
Where is all my money going? ... Food.
Mz Kegz same here đ©
Me đŁđŁđŁ
Mz Kegz that's money well spent then. Give to the body and the soul.
i don't have the math to know all my money go to food and i let my family encourage me to buy more food.
You have never lied..lol..I've slowed down everything else..BUT this..smh
Fast food kills you AND your budget;
I found an extra 400 dollars in my budget by cooking all my meals at home, only going out to eat on special occasions or dates. This was something I couldnt do when I was homeless!
The way I became un-homeless (lol) when I was living in my car, was finding an extra 300 in my budget by doing small things like changing my cell phone plan, reducing my eating dramatically to only cheap sides at the hospital cafeteria and saving 10% on my car insurance by taking the 5 hour point reduction course.
I saved my first and last months rent and security deposit and got an apartment. if I had saved earlier I would have never had to hustle through the winter in the car, but it taught me the real value of saving, and now I will never be in that situation again (hopefully) lol
Dan Reynolds Congrats!!
Wow
Buy sheriff sale houses. Some pp live in abandoned houses to save rent to save up for downpayment to buy hse. Rent half of your house out to pay mortgage.
Life Receiver thats called foreclosure homes. Still difficult to buy since its a competetive market with investors taking every opportunity they can to buy. There are waiting lists for foreclosure homes.
Dan Reynolds keep grinding
Get you a note pad. On the left write your monthly expenses. On the right write your income. Now your ready to go! Thank you sir. I'm 27 and just learning how important it is to save and manage your money right.
You are on the right track, my friend, if you're listening to this smart fellow and those like him. Good luck!

lol isnt it common sense to track every penny you spend and earn
The Fine Print so true, as long as the money is coming in, there's no regard to how much your cable, phone, insurance etc is. You 're on automatic, you just keep paying
Jaspreet I save $2172...EVERY month. KEEP HUSTLIN!
Jaspreet more smarter than any of my MBA professors....FACTS
That's fantastic!
That's what I'm doing 2k-3k
Fasting saves money too and it improves your health !!!!!!
True. And I feel so much better.
You forgot to mention it makes you weak and energyless.
@Doug ...đ
Lol
@@reece1929 so true. Iâm doing Omad again and wonât eat for another 3 hrs. That meal will be under $5 and I lost 65lbs. đ„ž. Banked the rest.

Rode a bike for 4 years until I can afford a car. (School first & bills) Now 20 years old and driving a 2002 Toyota with 98k miles with good amounts of saving đ
You must watch Scotty kilmer. He owns all Toyotas, his wife has a Lexus which is a Toyota
How I've spent less money: I've worked remotely for a while. Got rid of the car and embraced the bicycle life. I haven't had a car in about seven years now and the bicycle has kept me in shape.
PFULMTL probably saved $1,000âs!!!
PFULMTL what about if the distance is far? Or there is a highway on the commute? Or the destination is somewhere u canât show up sweaty and gross?
Iâm guessing you donât live in Minnesota...
I live on a hilltop and lots of hills traveling and work is 13 miles away. 10 below to 100+ in summer. No way could I cut driving, I need to get groceries too. It is bad on a car to not be used much. 4x4 a must in the winter.
@@leilanidru7506 well this person worked remotely. Getting groceries does not really need a car, there are grocery stores everywhere. It is much less convenient but a lot cheaper
I wish I a had a father, older brother or someone like you in my life when I was growing up. Nobody ever taught me about money when I was a kid. Not about establishing credit, nothing whatsoever. Love your videos. Keep up the good work.
Iâm the youngest of 9. Growing up no one in my family saved $, had bank accts, , talked about credit, investing, etc., becuz they didnât know. I took it upon myself to learn from the Suze Orman show and then read her books.
@@karmaisab777 No money and a lot of procreating. LoL there seems to be a lot of tha going around. It travels between the stars like solar winds. It sounds like you broke the cycle of destruction and did well for yourself. Good job.
I agree. I have never had anyone in life explain the importance of managing money to me. I am now 37yrs old and living paycheck to paycheck. I am sick of this way of living. I am so glad i found this channel. I am getting on excel and changing this bad habit.
Jon Hartley's Drum Channel Hi. If u have Netflix u should watch a documentary called The Minimalists. Itâs really educational and talks about getting rid of things that no longer serve u and how u can be happy with minimal material things and about living within your means.
There are also some videos here on YT that talk about minimalism.
There might be some videos on here that talk about basic money management.
I'm single, I torrent all my stuff and have no subscriptions, finished college and live in a cheap apartment. I've managed to amass 250,000 at 25 lol. No where close to a million but I'll get there.
Can I please have $100, if I had that much money I would do it for you. I've had a hard life and I'm 25 too
Shoot, props to you! :) now make that money grow! Real Estate is tried and true, another way to make that money work is to lend it. Make sure to talk to a private money broker and maybe Peer 2 Peer lending etc. Make sure youâre money is secure and growing :)
Staying Down ! Stay Down Till You Come Up
250,000 what? rupees?
Where do you torrent? Seems like you find a good site and then they take it down
You have helped me tremendously. When the car broke down, I felt so relieved to have that nest egg. I used to get paid on Thursday, and end up broke by Monday.
I quit smoking ciggarets
Huge difference because i was a human chimneyđ
That's awesome! Keep up the excellent work!
I don't believe you and I believe that even if I did believe you that you won't last and you'll be back at it smoking again. I also believe you already ruined your health and it's irreversible. Congratulations!!!đđđđ„đ
Excellent! It's also an amazing money saver! The rumor is that smokers make less, but they actually spend more.
Congrats. At $10 a pack would save you: $50 a week, $200 a month, $2,400 a year and $48,000 for 20 years.
@@ambidextrousshooter6463 good thing the world doesn't revolve around what you "believe"
I've been taking $40 every paycheck (more when I get a bonus) and putting it into savings. I'm up to $1,640 plus $105 in spare change. Saving is vitally important, especially in this day and socioeconomic climate.

I moved to Vietnam to teach English and saved eight thousand dollars over the course of a school year. Going back in September to double that sh1t. Great vid man and so true...
Hey man I have an esl degree how exactly did you do this?
Thank you Jaspreet, I'm going to turn it around with your help. Thanks for the life lessons.
One thing that just kills me financially is eating out! Itâs a weakness of mine and it is incredibly expensive, especially when I eat out frequently. Itâs time to go to the grocery store and start cooking at home!
pilgrim985 I eat out all the time and I am fine financially. The secret is to do what is most important to you without worrying about the money. Have one or two activities that you do this. Then, save the difference. Everything else I make money on goes into savings then into investments. I save $2,000 a month by doing this. Since I have built up quite an emergency cushion already, all present and future âsavingsâ goes directly into my investments. Itâs the easiest way to save and invest. I am almost a millionaire by doing this.
taoist40
Thank You for your insight! I most definitely appreciate it!
pilgrim985 Your welcome. It does take time, so be patient. Most people over complicate this financial issue. Just note what the most important thing is for you. If it is that important, spend the money. Life feels so much better. Obviously, if you have kids that will muddy things up a bit. So, take care to really figure out your priorities.
my wife and I buy one take out order and split it between us. Many times it ends up being cheaper than cooking it ourselves
pilgrim985 When my health went down the drain I realized the value of cooking food that have real food in it.
You are so smart, i love your delivery and i wish you were around 20 yrs ago i would have avoided alot of mistakesđđâ€

BEST ADVICE EVER...!
Always dropping great content thanks
bro, this is what i needed to hear! thank you for this. youâre like a personal finance coach to me.
I love your channel.
if your work or formal clothes are worn and need replaced, do so but make your old formal clothes into your leisure/ around the house clothes. it can feel a bit odd at first and you might feel overdressed lol. but then you can make your old comfy clothes into sleepwear. and this cycle really can save a lot of money. thank you for a great video xxx
Well done. Thanks.
Thanks Jaspreet, as always excellent video
Make a a 2 week food menu and and make a grocery list and shop for it.
My greatest money saving tool is telling myself âstop buying stuff you already haveâ when out and about.
Spot on Advice, great channel.
Great video!!!!
Instead of stopping at Starbucks everyday and buying food for lunch at work bring your own coffee and brown paper bag it you will see how much you save 2000 and no time
đȘđȘđȘ
I prioritize my activities. Whatever is the most important than I can spend money on it without worry. Everything else is a day by day choice that usually ends with me not spending money. This is the easy way. I save $2,000 and sometimes more every month by doing this. I donât make a lot, only $45,000 to $50,000 a year. I am halfway to being a millionaire just by doing this.
I stopped buying coffee from Starbucks since July 2018! Lol saved me some $$$
I did that. Bring my own food to work. I also sold stuff I didnât need anymore. Plus Iâm trying to get customers for my artistic skills for people who are looking for a tattoo design, graphic design for t- shirts, childrenâs illustrations, logo design for their personal interest while I make a living on the side with my day job. Internet, no cable. Plus I live with my parents with no need of paying rent but I do provide food and help around the house. Saving my money, and still growing. đ°
I cancelled my Netflix subscription after watching this video. Opened a saving account named netflix. I save 96 euros a year. Cheers!!!

Good points!
If u still have Netflix, watch the doc. âThe Minimalistsâ It puts things into perspective re: keeping up w/ The Joneses and focusing on what u really need, decluttering.
Physical clutter = mental clutter. Itâs a less stressful lifestyle when u donât feel the need to have excess. More things donât = happiness. You will just keep acquiring things u donât use anyway.
I finally got my 2k saved up! But it was easy because I got a better job and a raise and then just put the excess into savings. :) I love your channel!
Very good advice!

Cars: Toyota is the most reliable. Hondas have better engines but weak automatic transmissions. Change all fluids and filters every 50000miles or 5 years. Oil is cheap engines and transmissions are expensive, etc.
Obay the speed limit in town and take your foot off the gas pedal when you see a red light. Look 6 seconds ahead so you know what's going on before you get there to avoid unnecessary stopping and starting.
And watch Scotty Kilmer
I hate spending $2 on food, but will spend a few hundred on inventory for resell. (Thatâll make me money back). Priorities đ

Thrift shopping all the way, dont go to Macy's or old navy. Its going to save you alot of money
Currently i am still in high school so i cant do so much so i just put every penny i get into mutual funds and i will use that money to cover expenses when i get a job so i can save all of my income instantly
Lucas x you should look into ETFs...historically, mutual funds donât beat the market after you adjust their returns to account for management fees, trading fees, and other similar expenses that are prevalent for mutual funds. ETFs function in the same way as mutual funds, except they are not actively managed so they have significantly less costs. Your expense ratios can be as low or lower than 0.04% with these products and over the long term they at least match or beat the majority of mutual funds when adjusting for fees incurred. Awesome products
William Cashion where can i invest my money at? Any websites? Such as vanguard? I have fidelity thru my job but it sucks with their fees and not enough investment options. I have to ask for permission to trade stocks with my own money hahaha
William Cashion i meant to trade shares
William Cashion etf is what i meant
Itâs smart that you started investing while in high school. I would like to speak to you more about some safe options on investing. Whatâs the best way to contact you?
this makes a lot of sense. once you create a habit in 21 days it becomes easier. sometimes the challenge is starting
Awesome video jaspreet đđŒ
Also. LED lights. Given roughly 10 months (or shorter if you use your light bulb more than 3-5 hours a day), you can make your money back in electricity savings alone over incandescents. And then you are also not replacing the light bulb as often. Even when someone's a dumbass and knocks over your lamp, bursting the bulb...since the bulb is just a fancy cover for the tiny LED inside.
Oh and those water-efficient shower heads. Water's much less expensive (in my area), but I found one on Amazon for like 12 bucks. Probably a good investment. (Haven't run the numbers on it....well, I did, but I simply never committed it to memory.)
No baths. 4 minutes showers. Put a brick in your toilet to reduce the amount of water being used per flush. Energy saving bulbs. Unplug things not being used like tv's on standby
Farhan Sattar 2 minute showers, lather & rinse
Thanks for the amazing tips!!!
Thanks for all the tips
Switch from the big cell phone companies to prepaid
To me, being cheap is fun!! Yey?!
I really like your videos! Thanks for sharing
Thank you đ Life saver!
I have $2k in savings and still don't feel secure. 6 months remaining on contract. Guess it's time to go minimalist and make the most of time remaining. Thanks for encouraging me to think ahead!
A permanent Job? lol. I've been working the same full time job for 1.5yrs and intend on staying here for 3 total unless I can climb the ladder and increase my salary at which point my dedication increases with the added benefits. Ideally you shouldn't get comfortable in employment that doesn't offer opportunity for promotion. As for myself I'm focusing on investing so that I can be independently wealthy and not have to work a job where submission to others is necessary. With my current plan of action my trajectory will allow me to retire by 35 and I'm not talking about the standard minimum 401k. But thanks for the advice đ
Ps) A word of advice provided to me by a 6th grade teacher "You don't need luck, you have what it takes to make it." Since then I don't believe in the concept of "luck" aka mere random chances of fortune or mis-fortune. I believe hard work and dedication is what gets the job done and will always yield the most consistent growth & success.
Jomo-Kenyatta1 I gotcha but I stopped blowing my funds after this video and more than tripled my savings since then. I just entered the cryptocurrency market and I'm doing really well for myself. The difference between me and most employees is that I have literally Zero expenses so I have freedom to move my assets around however I like. My employer provides my food and housing at no cost to me. I have no dependents and no auto so I don't pay for insurance. Manifest your destiny. Determination and application did a lot to move me forward from a point if insecurity.
Man, no I really need to write things down? I'm a minimalist, live 0 waste and all I eat is fruits, veggies, beans, legumes, and seeds. They are all super cheap. I even shower with cold water!
Dilyan * but are you a member of unicorns 4 ever? O.O
Jlina A ah, no ,wtf is that?
Dilyan * he mentions it in the video, it's imaginary im sure lol
Jlina A ow, yeah, forgot about it!
No I'm not!
Thank you for your time. I educate my wife and daughter on money all the time. My wife gets and understands much of it piece by piece, daughter ... won't be able to know for sure until she's on her own. I've played some of your videos for them and it helps for them to hear from other sources, especially just released videos on par with what I teach. It adds credibility, legitimacy and brings in more ideas. Now, if only I can share with my brothers without it being insulting.
Thank you
Yep, like you said, my bank account is an emergency fund, so I can flash Murphy some money and make him go away. I do have a second account for short term saving (like for a vacation).
Worst thing they say "no" is not true, I got chased by an grandma with an umbrella while negotiation to buy some towels.
you should have bought the umbrella :p
It was all fake stuff, one of these cases where using an umbrella gets you actually more wet in a rain; the towel falls apart while drying off leaving pieces of cloth all over the body.
lol yeah better run from the granny with the dodgy merch
Loll)llll this just made my day
Well, she did say no. She just said it while chasing you with the umbrella.
Great reminder
I love the truth you share with us. Thanks for the tips. I have many more of your videos to watch. This is so very helpful.
Lol I already started writing down my expenses and stuff at the start of this month
how is it going??
