  • No one could be “born again of incorruptible seed” until it was available, and it was not available until Jesus Christ had lived, died, been raised from the dead, ascended to the right hand of God, and poured out the gift of holy spirit.

I think this is the most straight forward and logical exposure to scripture that i have ever heard. It clarifies all the misty weird bits to me. This is the good news from start to finish. The good news. If anyone wants to know the bad news, which is not focused on here, because it is written 2000 yrs ago to a people with a world view which already knew the bad news, then they should listen to the work of Mike Heiser with his focus on Divine council. See YT "Supernatural seminar". But ignore his subsequent trinity and "two YHWY" teaching.
Mike outlines the "bad news" as to why there was rebellion and fall, powers and principalities of the enemy, and Babel etc, very well. Making, along with this and Anthony Buzzards work, a complete picture.
Well done TLTF for these outstanding videos of One Day with the Creator.

as for this comment about Paul and free will. I am having trouble grasping your point. Are you arguing for or against personal free will, or that God is not sovereign?? ...oh I think I see, you claim Saul had no free will because the Lord Jesus zapped him??
But Saul was still left the choice to accept or reject! Saul could have gone home and rejected the call!
The zap was to get his attention to a choice he should heed!
That is God allowing free will, not over riding it. Giving a choice to make.
Or are you are referring to those who killed Jesus being ordained to do so by God, without any conscious decision? That is also where this teacher is correct. God does not force people to do wicked things. God does not take over people and force them. The whole scenario of capture, torture and crucifixion (if God made them do it by over riding their will) would be a monstrous scam, by an evil being. (he might just have done this a few thousand years later if God forced it all.
Those Jews and others made their own minds up to do this thing based on their growing, devil inflamed, hatred for Jesus as Jesus and prophets said they would, and we read this at various places in the synoptic gospels. They hated. They chose = free will.
Thats my take. Example, I would pray that God would protect me and my family when we travel. That he not just watch when danger looms unexpectedly. I would hope He would intervene. However that is my choice to ask and believe for that. If we can not trust God and its all pre set up, then we go straight to Calvinism and do not collect any $200.
Saul was a diligent pharisee who was doing his best to fulfill what he thought was the best course , he thought and acted on his free will, to support Gods will, in stamping out the new christian heresy, he was willfully doing what HE THOUGHT was right. Free will. However God, through Jesus, knew better and zapped him and told him so, and gave him the choice, a change in his path at this fork in his road. Sauls choice, after encounter.
      Do you see this brother?

There is way too many holes in that dead horse of a theology u have. All ur misunderstandings of his points doesn't justify ur position. God acting against mans free will isn't proof of no free will. God is simply responding to the free will choices of Paul. "oh my".....
