LOL
@@Amateur_Pool sorry that was in poor taste
@@AAAskeet Monica knows about "poor taste" lol
Blew. dress. hahahahaha good 1 but It's Kool and the Gang.
I find myself quite often following your advice, which is to just miss shots and let your opponent handle things for you. It's really the easiest advice to follow...
lol - the worst advice is often the easiest to follow! :)
Good luck on the next one
Thanks, Jesse!
congrats lil joshy - nie shooting
lol - thanks little Timmy! :)
Earn those patches Good shooting
Thanks, Dawn! ❤️
"don't do what I do" bruh I would love to miss as little as you do 😅
😁🤜🤛😂
Congrats
Thank you sir!
2 break and runs in a row!! look at you go
Ya.. I was shooting pretty well in this match
Hey Josh That was nice Shooting.
Here are a couple shots to try they will help with cutting the ball and shooting into the so called blind pocket.
This shot is to get you used to cutting paper thin cut shots.
The odds of this coming up in a match is very low but the point of this exercise is to take away the fear of cutting thin shots and to help you know if you are going to scratch on the shot.
1 place the object ball on the foot spot or head spot usually where the sticker is at on the table or where the apex ball is place.
Now take the cue ball and place it in one of the corner pockets (it doesn't have to be all the way in the corner pocket) that is below where the object ball is placed.
Now you want to cut the object ball in the top corner on the same side where the cue ball is placed not the same pocket where the cue ball is placed.
This is not a scratch shot. tip just use center ball no side spin. yes you do have to hit firm but not as hard as you think.
you can actually overcut this shot that it will hit the long rail before hits the corner pocket.
2 This will help with blind pocket shot.
Get a box that you can place on the pool table that's big enough to block your site of the pocket that you want to shoot in now set up a few cut shots into that corner pocket.
where you can only see the object ball. you can look to get your aiming point and contact point but when you are down on the shot you shouldn't be able to see the pocket at all. Now it's all up to trusting your aiming point after awhile you be able to make these no problem.
If you are wondering if I actually did this. Yes I did but it wasn't a box it was a laundry basket and sometimes folded clothes that were on the pool table.
Trust me this help my game a lot I never worried about where the blind pocket was I just trusted my aiming point.
3 Tip If you have position don't play for position. Yes I know there exceptions to this but when you play to try to get better position it doesn't always work out.
I remember when I played for a 9 ball qualifier I played against 5 people a 6 a couple 5's and a 4 and a 3.
Between the 5 of them their ball count was less than 25 point's.
The League operator was watching my match he told me after it was over that I had 11 break and runs.
11 break n runs! That's solid! Thanks for the tips also!
@@Amateur_Pool
No problem.
Kool & the Gang!!
Boom!
@@Amateur_Pool get ur back up off the wall!! Hope all is well. Let me know if you ever visit NYC. Would love to shoot or talk. Be well & I love the content.
Like your commentary man. I missed so many shots thinking about the one after. The other point you made you about watching someone run a couple racks on you. It tightens everyone up unless you’re a professional player. I used to play BCA 8 ball for a few sessions. The one thing I liked about BCA was if you made a ball on the break you had your choice of what to shoot.
For sure.. that's what i like about Tap League, too.. it's open after the break. I appreciate your support!
Nice try that was almost in
That last 8 ball? Ya, I wish I woulda made that
@@Amateur_Pool I love to play you but I’m in the BCA
Congrats!
Thanks, Mike!
Never seen you play better than that Josh! And you know I been watching a long time! Congratulations
Thanks, James.. my game has been getting better since i went back to my practice routine
Just subscribed! Been playing pool for a long time, but mostly bar tables and the occasional regulation size. Love how you broke it down. Great shooting. Im so stoked to ever get a break and run.
Hell ya! It feels so good to break and run! I appreciate the sub. Hope you enjoy my content! Thanks!
@@Amateur_Pool The other thing I realized, when you mentioned your opponent being a rhythm player. That hit close to home. I never recognized that about myself. It always takes me a few rounds to find that rhythm and then I usually play better. Usually when I watch my homie run the table I get frustrated and can’t even focus on the follow through to the next shot and then I’m scrambling. Cheers man!
@@puttfordoughdiscgolf9361 you're not alone in that. Tons of people play like that!
Nobody can snook you better than you can snook yourself.
💯 %
Honestly. The first person who try’s to run out in bar box 8 ball loses almost 70 percent of the time. So that’s not bad advice.
Ya, it can be an effective strategy, lol
Definitely looks like you were feeling it. Nice job.
Thanks, Jerry Lee
Nice shooting, Josh. Depending on how I do in my own regional, I hope to see you out in Vegas.
Hopefully, we can both make it out there! Good luck
Nice shooting
Thanks, Jesse
If there was a black striped ball, it'd be the 16 ball. subtract 8 fRom Little Timmy's striper ball and the solid's the same color, Peppermint Pappy.
Congrats! that's aWesOme!! Travel light... Best of luck in Lost Wages!
Lol.. i know, i know.. add 8, lol
Still gotta win regional before i make it to Vegas but, thanks!
AH!! yeah, I jumped up and missed. "HEY! Grandpaaaaw bought-a-rubber!" (see who knows that 1! )@@Amateur_Pool
@@_Ramen-Vac_ Steve Martin?
hope you get qualified sir! we're running some boards this coming Saturday that I plan on getting into.
Good Luck! I'm qualified for regionals (for 8 and 9) but, gotta win one of them to go to Vegas!
nice two pack there in the middle too!
Thanks!
I really tried my best to keep up with the times you said ( YOU KNOW) counted 39 may have missed a couple. Don't worry l'm still going to watch your vidios. Just thought l would let ( YOU KNOW ) 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
LMAO!!!! Nice work Nancy! 39 seems about right to me, ya know! ;)
Yo! The easiest way to remember the stripe balls numbers… if you know the 1-7, then use the same color pattern for 9-15, 1 & 9 yellow, 2 & 10 blue, 3 & 11 red etc 😁
Lol... thanks! I actually know them but, i can't remember when I'm commentating, for some reason! Lol
What kind of cue do u use and what tip
Cuetec true wood 2 with a sniper tip
How long and how much practice did it take you to become a 7?!?
That's hard to answer. Been playing a total of 23yrs but, with a 10 year break in the middle. About 1.5 years ago, i started devoting practice time, daily. Since then, my game has come up a lot. I currently practice several hours per day.
@@Amateur_Pool awesome feedback. thanks!
