it's rising in price, as an M rated title on the n64, it's getting rarer as more people decide it's suited for their collection. I wasn't blown away w it on emu, but once I get a few levels in I expect it to pick up like crazy, I have a copy on the way.

Battle tanx global assault is probably my favorite game nobody talks about on the N64. Good controls, fun single player and co-op campaign. And you can do 4 player split screen death matches!
Also you don’t have to worry about twin stick shooting in a tank, so it really holds up today.
Oh and the cartridge is green, and that’s always a bonus.

“A lot of people consider it *their* system.” Hit the nail on the head, man. Definitely played Genesis and Playstation when I was real young but when I got my N64 it was MINE. And the Eon is an amazing product, although the Tributes, the Brawlers, any controller like that, I find them hit and miss depending on the game, though I think some people dislike the original enough that they’ll put more effort into readjusting to them. Idk if that’s your stance on it haha.

howtoloseatvideogames your phrasing of those controllers made me more willing to try them. Most people try to sell them as end-all-be-all replacements for n64 controllers, when in reality, just like you said, it suits some games better than others. Hey, I noticed there were alot of unusual artifacts in your gameplay footage, just thought I'd make a suggestion, I used a hauppauge rocket to record the n64 footage of the few n64 games I did on my channel, it had an component cable to s video adapter, It took a couple of experiments but I got it to record fairly well that way, without artifacts. But was pretty fuzzy. The main game I had issues with with that method was resident evil 2 when it switched between menu's and gameplay, it would hiccup because of the different resolutions. Im sure the hd adapter your using looks fine going to your tv, but it didn't seem to record just perfect.

"I think I'm the only one who likes these games..." Well, I really like Quest 64, so I can relate. I just thought it was neat how you had to think about not only the elemental of the spell, but also the path that it would take to figure out how best to take down the enemy group. Body Harvest meant a lot to me growing up. Havent played it in years, but the game is a very historical piece. It saw DMA design go through a "Chabudai Gaeshi" and the game getting dropped by (original publisher) Nintendo as a result, and turning itself into developing highly violent video games (of course, they are now known as Rockstar North). They probably wouldnt have gone that way if Nintendo wasnt as strict about content.

Rocket Robot on Wheels is another fantastic 3D platformer. Fun gimmicks and standard animation for the the time. Think, Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie.

Bruh you're insane to say Mystical Ninja was meh. The game is one of those most underrated games ever made. I was actually quite upset that GGA was 2D. It took me quite a while to come around to it.

Fighter's Destiny 1 is not such a bad game. This fighting game is different than all the rest, and some people make not like the point system, but I think it is cool. Crus N the World was great. Mischief Makers was cool. Twisted Edge Snowboarding is pretty fun. Rush 2 was awesome with the cheats on along with the stunt track and the sparks outside of the area that you are technically not supposed to reach. Duke Nukem Zero Hour is also pretty good. The one drawback being lack of checkpoints. The game does play a bit slow, which can make it hard to go back to.

Great choice starting with the Goemon games. Goemon's Great Adventure was my favorite non-Mario platforming until Tropical Freeze. Mystical Starring Goemon is indeed a bit rough and strays far from the 2D games, but was pretty impressive for what it pulled off in 1997.

I really hope that Nintendo throws us a bag of bones and puts a lot of the 3rd party N64 games on the Switch. BattleTanx was awesome. 3DO became a decent 3rd party company after the failure of their 3DO REAL player. I REALLY want a lot of the 3rd party N64 games. Great stuff!
