@bobby fa The point is not a Chinese guy marrying a Caucasian woman, there's plenty of that all over the world. The take away is this Caucasian lady made herself becoming a HongKonger. My hat's off to any foreigner who took the time to learn the language, way of life etc in another culture, be it male or female.
@@ivegas1000His point is about the world's dominant culture being western, that Chinese immigrants are expected to be westernised, at times even rejecting their original Chinese identity (tho, some HKers too). OTOH westerners in HK are not expected to localise, coming from the dominant culture themselves. In fact, for a long time, western media try very hard to emasculate the image of Asian men, hence they would never do a segment like this RTHK one. The only ticket to be accepted by the mainstream media is to become extremely white-washed, or be a clown. The western media is very controlled and careful about engineering public perceptions.
