  • In this video I explain the definitions of value, hue and color saturation. Also many others as tint or shadow.
    Keys very important for any painter. They are the most relevant aspects of color theory to learn to paint in oil.
    Each color on the chromatic wheel has its own particular hue.
    Saturation is the degree of purity of a color.
    The value refers to its luminosity from the different mixes that you can get by mixing a tone with black and white.
    I'll also talk about the broken colors
    We will not see these colors in the chromatic circle, they are the mixture of a primary or secondary or tertiary color with its complementary, in unequal quantities, so that the color does not get dirty but without losing its tendency.
    All this with examples so that you can understand it and apply it in your works.
