During March 2022, a 36-year-old man repeatedly violated a restraining order by attempting to contact his ex girlfriend in Tavernier, FL. He went as far as falsely reporting an incident while posing as a New York state trooper. After his initial arrest and release on bond, a new warrant was issued for his impersonation of a police officer, and he willingly turned himself in.

Me too. I have always thought if they get you to do a field sobriety test they would find something to fail you on. I’m not a LEO but it seems a lot of the test is subjective hence easily failing someone.

around here DUI's are a big cash grab/boosts the numbers of crimes "solved". The solved rate of almost any other category is shockingly low. You can easily lose your case based on subjective opinion, and you can expect every buzzword in the book to show up at some point even if not noted in a citation. The whole glossy, red watery eyes, slurred speech, smells etc. The lowest tiered dui is basically tied to also just being "impaired", so being tired, or simple lack of not paying attention for a second can still win them the day. That is even if you pass the chemical testing and all. It is pretty ruthless, even with a vetted attorney. @@kaptainkaos1202

My best friends ex-husband did the exact same thing. He even put a fake witness, fake name, fake employer and title on the stand to testify that this fake person saw my best friend at this location ‘stalking’ him (the hearing was because she filed a motion for a PPO and he countered for a PPO and said not only was he not stalking her, she was instead stalking him. It was PROVEN in court, to the judge, that this man was lying about his identity, didn’t work at said location, EVER and HE didn’t get in trouble nor did the ex or his attorney. I was shocked that he seriously thought i chose a person like that. I had to explain that these guys are good at pretending to be normal and can often keep up the normal act for many months. When the crazy comes it is gradual but always escalates. The worst is when you leave them. After having my car rammed through a wall and my home burned to the ground he was finally locked up. 15 years later i still belive i will never have another man in my life due to trust issues.
