- Mighty Bomb Jack (マイティボンジャック Maiti Bon Jakku?) is a 1986 Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) game released by Tecmo, which was later ported to the Amiga, Atari ST and Commodore 64.[4] Within PAL-A regions, the NES version was only released in Australia. The NES version was released on the Virtual Console on May 7, 2007 for the Wii, on December 6, 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS and on January 23, 2014 for the Wii U. It is a sequel to Bomb Jack.
Each level is split into two parts; an action zone and a Royal Palace room. The mechanics and level designs of the Royal Palace rooms are directly lifted from Bomb Jack. Action zones can be split up into several portions, and contain power-ups usually hidden in treasure chests such as money bags, Mighty Coins and Mighty Drinks. Mighty Coins allow Jack to change colors; blue allows Jack to open orange treasure chests, orange allows him to open any treasure chest by simply touching it from the side, and green transforms all enemies on the screen into coins for 5 seconds. Mighty Drinks add 10 seconds to the game's timer. Secret passages can also be found in the action zones, activated by finding a Sphinx in a visible or hidden treasure chest.
To prevent the player from becoming too "greedy", the game automatically sends the player to a Torture Room if they obtain more than 9 Mighty Coins or 99 seconds on the game's timer. The only way to escape a Torture Room without losing a life is to complete a number of jumps, which are counted down on the screen. Once the player exits the torture room, Jack automatically loses all Mighty Coins, the timer is reset to 60 seconds, and the game recommences from the beginning of the current level.

I had no idea what this game was about when I was little. I saw it for sale at Kay Bee Toys and Hobbies. That summer I never saw the out side world, this game was my life!

I remember being about 11 and buying this at kb toys. I was so pissed and let down when i first played it!!! However i learned to love it!!! That’s what you did back then! You weren’t getting another game for awhile!!

One of the most difficult NES games I've ever played when I was a kid! I've managed to complete all stages just a few times and this was before emulators where you can save your game :D Very good gameplay, you pulled it off like a champ.

I used to play this on a bootleg game console that ripped off NES games as a kid. I didn't even know what I was doing in the game but I was really good and not to mention addicted to this game. Glad it's on the nintendo online service

I watched an anime last night where one of the characters dressed up like Mighty Bomb Jack. There may have been 3 people watching that anime who knew who he was dressed as. It was more than that, though. He was a kid named Jack with a mighty power. In a fight while where his Mighty Bomb Jack clothes he used a coin to change the color of his outfit gaining more power each time (It did all the colors here). It even did a version of the Mighty Bomb Jack theme song.
He said his family disarms bombs, too. :P

I think it's called Rio- Rainbow Gate. It's about a girl that works a blackjack table at a casino. The story goes if you win these special cards you can open the rainbow gate and do something... It's been a while since I watched it. It's pretty good. Would have replied sooner, but I've been offline.

I first played it when I was young... I can't help it but the beautiness of the game not aware of the hardness and offcourse all obstacles like different mummies... for the player to make it difficult.... and the each level are not so different to the next one although there's a little bit change but still enjoyable... we'll childhood memories.. and that end's it that case... 😅😴😍😤

The most irritating part of the game is when you collect alot of M bottles for time and the game says fk you. Then your put in a room, where you have to doge enimes for 39 slow minutes. AND it takes away your power ups.

How to save the other royal family?
The basic premise of the best ending run is to collect the two crystals and 5 or more S-coins. After the king's room, Jack is sent to the queen's room (at least one crystal required) and the princess' room (both crystals required). If the S-coin requirement is met on top the crystal requirement, Jack will be sent to the Belzebut room after the princess' room. Finishing the room containing Belzebut yields the best ending.
